If I could give them -5 stars. I would

driver drove me to a completely different location and had me step out.once I knocked on the window and told him he acted as though he was doing me a favor driving me to my actual address.argued with me relentlessly trying to tell me it was MY fault.there's no reason I'd ask to go anywhere but the address I've lived at for over a decade.made to pay for fare to the location on the other side of town then to my house.shouldn't have been more than 35 with Tip.the worst cab ride I have had in over 15 years ended up costing me 80$

the driver had no regard for safety- dropping me on the side of a busy road not even in walking distance to my actual house.

STAY AWAY. WILL NEVER USE THIS SERVICE.

Driver wouldn’t explain the pricing from the airport, we were told a fixed rate from the airport to our accommodation.
Driver wouldn’t speak tried to charge extra $20 and got mad when we asked why, wouldn’t speak just got angry and upon us getting out bags out he speed off before I had time to shut the boot and he drove off onto the road with his boot open.
Pretty grim experience for fresh tourists into the country

A disgrace to Vancouver and Canada's polite reputation. The driver was rude, told me at the end of my trip I could have walked and only begrudgingly helped me with my luggage. Would never recommend.

I was riding my motorcycle down Marine Dr in North Van at around 10: 45PM tonight, and cab number PT 204 was tail gating me. I was already doing 60 in a 50 zone. He got dangerously close, then when he finally decided to pass (which he could have at any time, without putting me in danger), he proceeds to pass me, while flipping me the bird. Great representation you have there, Black Top Cabs. Do better.

I forgot one of my bags and completely didn't notice. Later that evening the hotel let me know the Taxi service had dropped off my bag and after an ID check I got it back. Thank you so much for the service and honesty it is very much appreciated. I would of been hard pressed to complete my job without the drill batteries in there. Thanks again so much:)

I wish there was a zero star option. My #TAXI #vancouver #blacktop arrives, I came promptly outside, And approached his vehicle. At which point he had the door locked and would not let me in regardless of my back breaking heavy bags that I was carrying he made me stand outside of the cab. Show him that I had $180cash (fair enough, But was also struggling to keep my bags from falling on the ground and a part). I Then went to open the door and he pressed the lock button, and I mentioned to him that it was locked. He very then was snarky with me saying that he wanted the money upfront in his hand now before he opens his doors. I Asked him if he could open his door so I could at least put my heavy items down. He refused and continued to be rude to me and demanded the money through the small crack in his window. I am not someone sketchy looking I was well-dressed, business and well mannered. It escalated from there in which I told him that I would call another cab company or a Uber instead. I am not was totally person, It am a business professional. I don’t look like the “type”. I called them back immediately after he took off and explain the situation. They put me on hold for a while saying that they were talking to the driver. The driver told them that I was highly intoxicated. HIGHLY INTOXICATED? !? ! I Wasn’t even drinking or anything. I was on my way to work. But, they believed him and told me that if I wanted another cab it would be another half an hour. So I called a different company Vancouver #TAXI I believe so and they came within five minutes. I rest my case.

Saved me at the last moment. They bumped me up in front of everyone knowing I was late for a flight (Thanks to Vancouver taxi). Thanks guys!

Yellow cab wouldnt answer the phone and Vancouver Taxi waited till my pickup time to tell me that they didnt have any cabs to pick me up.

I decided to switch back over to Black Top Checkers Cab after an Uber driver almost ran me over at Burrard just a day ago. I needed a cab to North Vancouver to my parents place and the cab came there within 5 minutes (5 minutes earlier than the 3 uber rides I took so far) and it was nearly $5.00 cheaper than the Uber I took to North Vancouver 3 weeks ago.plus the cab was very clean and the driver was super friendly (I encountered 2 rude uber drivers on my first 2 uber rides)

I left my Chanel purse in the cab after my birthday. I was panicking looking for it the next day calling around to all the establishments we had been to the night before. The sweet cab driver found my address on my license and drove it to me all the way in Langley! I can’t thank him enough! My wallet and all my cards and cash were still inside. Thank you!

My friend has written THREE reviews warning potential customers about taking cab BT 20 as driver was extremely aggressive, unprofessional and held her in the car against her will to the point where she had to call the police. Instead of removing reviews maybe contact her OR the cab driver who drives this cab and reprimand him. Other women’s lives can be in danger.

Don't bother calling or booking in advance. Drivers skip calls and leave you waiting. And if you flag one down, never tell them where you're going until you're inside, otherwise they might leave to try and find a better fare.

Waited 15 minutes for cab got a phone call saying the cab was here and it was not here.then called back and was told it was not even on its way yet.now we're waiting outside in the cold almost a half an hour later.worst service I received from a cab company

First off the dispatcher was honestly the most unreasonable person i have ever talked too.
They send a cab but the cab doesnt stop, just drives by. I call again and he states that its my fault. I have to be in view of the driver. I stated “so stand in the middle of the road to get hit by a car” and he said yea.

AWFUL service. I called for a taxi in 15-20 mins and was told they can't pre book so to call back when ready. Called 15 mins later.waited another 20 mins within taxi. Called back to inquire about ETA and was told they are busy and I am in the cue. When I mentioned my 1st call's instructions the operator hung up on me!

My daughter and I were stranded at Commercial and Broadway after our car got towed (argh!). My daughter called a cab and although we ordered one, it was taken by others that were faster to get across the road than us. She called a few times to get a replacement but the cabs were few and far between and any free ones were quickly taken. Finally, after half an hour standing in the freezing cold, and many stolen cabs, one cab driver waited for us! He refused other passengers and we were so thankful. When we got in a man and his daughter approached our cabbie saying his cab was taken and they had been waiting for ages. The cab driver asked if we didn't mind sharing as we were all going in the same direction, and we all agreed. We didn't realize that the skytrain was down hence the craziness and the masses of pedestrians. So thank you to this kind cabbie and his compassion for helping out during a very busy, crazy rush hour.

Ordered a cab the night before needing one. Pickup time was 3: 40. At 3: 43, I called to make sure someone was coming, because I saw no activity on the tracker. The dispatcher told me it might be “a long time” because the drivers are changing shifts. Nobody called to tell me this in advance. The app did not warn me that this is not an opportune time to book a cab for. My boyfriend was trying to get to the airport and had to drive instead. Now he needs to book his car into long term parking while already late getting to the airport. This is a serious problem that Black Top needs to address. What is wrong with you?

Waited 1 hour 30 minutes (the estimate of 20 went up over time instead of down) for someone to show up. Driver had gotten lost. When he finally got there, he declined my ride because it was too far, claiming that it was rush hour (it was 2: 00 pm) and that it would be a 4–5 hour round trip for him (eventual replacement taxi made it in less than 30 minutes, which, if I’m doing my math correctly, makes it about a 1-hour round trip. Assuming, even, that they weren’t allowed to pick someone up on the way back and therefore had to make a round trip at all, idk).

That was only the experience that finally led me to look elsewhere, though. Other drivers from BT&C at least accept to drive, but pretend the credit card machine is broken on arrival until it magically works when you don’t have cash. You know, standard stuff.

Call wait times are also obscene, of course. Hope the app doesn’t break for you. (It will.)
