I ordered pearl milk tea but didn’t give pearls hahahaha
On average, once every two times I order, I’m short of a pound or two. It’s really yours.

I ordered brown sugar pearl milk tea but there were no pearls, so I was missing a pound or two.

Very bad experience, no service! I ordered big black pills, but when I got home, there was not a single black pill, and there were very few taro balls. All I ate was frozen. The so-called Aiyu was said to be a mistake by the waiter, and there were no other ingredients. Let it go, it’s too deceiving, lightning protection

There are quite a few seats in the store, and there are also seats on the second floor.
But it’s a little crowded because there are a lot of tables and chairs.
Our order was also lost, so we waited for 20 minutes and no one came.it was a long wait
The food part was okay. We ordered the signature (?) but I think it would be better with more grass jelly.
Then the mural was carefully placed and included the Raohe Street Night Market and 101!

Wow.why didn't I try this place out sooner!?

Amazing shaved ice and pudding desserts! Portions were quite large. Service was friendly as well and the interior was nice and bright with plenty of seating.

The only con is that they ran out of bobba when we ordered.

I had the Kyoto Matcha Snow Ice in a cup. I love Matcha and this was delicious! The matcha ice cream on top had a nice strong matcha flavor. The shaved matcha ice surprisingly had a good matcha flavor too. The red bean on the top was soft and tasted fresh. The overall design of the drink and presentation was great. I would definitely come back for it again. Nice decor of the Cafe too.

Huge portions with great toppings! Shaved ice is soft and grass jelly is silky smooth! Recommend 100%!

Disappointed in the state of this location. I previously had the aiyu jelly at the Robson location, which was great, so when I was in the area for this location, I decided to stop by for shaved ice. I'm impressed by how big this location is - and how empty. When I ordered, the first two items weren't available, the second only possible with a substitution of gelato in place of the soft serve.

I still liked the shaved ice a lot. It's like eating snow.chunkier, freezer-burned snow. Yeah, okay, it's ice, not snow. Still! The flavour is good although rather sweet. The toppings are the usual, and served on the side. I would've preferred them on top, served in bigger bowl. Otherwise it's unwieldly to combine yourself. They only had small paper bowls for sharing.

I'll probably stick to bingsu in the future for my shaved ice needs. Would still rec the jelly though.

Dessert was a little bland if you like it not too sweet. Got matcha jelly, taro balls, mini matcha balls, peach jelly and kidney beans.

The long hair short Asian lady doesn't speak English at all.hard to communicate with her. Everything over price, but I like their fresh smooth matcha grass jelly.

Fantastic desserts! Ice cream is creamy and the ice are flavorful. Can definitely live without the taro ball and the sweet potato balls though. They are very bland.

Black Ball has many options for dessert like Taiwanese style puddings, bubble teas and Castella cheese tarts. The weirdest thing is that we ordered 3 items from their most popular menu and they didn't have any of them. Not sure if it's supply issues or they just forgot to order them.

Anyway the desserts can easily be made at home with grass jelly and whatever topings they put on top, but I guess you miss the cute ambience to hang out with friends.

So surprised at how good this dessert is. Highly suggest you to order taroQ and yamQ they are quite special. It is such good food to have after spicy or BBQ food.

I ordered the cup size of milk tea soft serve with shaved ice, and got this. It missed red bean and taro ball showed on the menu photo. I only tasted sweetness and no milk tea flavor. Not recommended! Bad services too.

My first time this place and I'm glad I was able to order something that I'd enjoy. Typically it's a hit and miss this one is a hit.

Great customer service! The girl that was helping me was very patient in answering all the questions my daughter had. The desserts were AMAZING! This place is a must go if you’re in the area, it will not disappoint! Parking lot can get a little crazy but it’s worth the struggle to find a spot!

Really good Taiwanese dessert. Got that hot pot thing and it was bomb. Love getting to choose my own toppings.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE
This place was my favourite dessert store, I couldn’t count how many time I had been here. But today I had a bad experience with them, I ordered a mix and match glass jelly and it came with small cup of cream, like so many time before we used to put the cream into the bowl without tasting it and when I ate it, believe me it was BITTER. So I double checked with the cream leftover in the cup and it’s taste the same very bitter. I was up to a cashier and told her to check their cream, then one of the guy opened the cream and tasted it, so I asked him was that taste weird? He gave a head nod after that I saw him talked to the man who looked like manager or owner. They talked to each other something, I decided to come back to my table which is very close to the cashier area and I sat there for 5 minutes nobody come to talk to me or even give me a look, they ignored me for that 10 minutes.
No apology or solution. I returned the food and left the store because nobody care about that problem. I don’t know if someone had the same experience like me today.

Great place to hang out, the upstairs area is a fantastic spot to relax and play some games. The menu is top notch as well, cannot reccomend the cheese tarts enough.

Great place for getting your boba deserts:). They always come up with new offers. Also check out the sitting room upstair.

The upstairs seating makes this place ten times better than any other blackball. Otherwise, the desert quality and taste is the same as all the others (it's good).

Went on a weekend afternoon and many tables were available. Was able to get a seat right away and look over the menu. The staff did not rush us to order. Ordered an Anni Tofu and Mini Balls at the front and the dish was made promptly. Picked up the dish from the front and the presentation was quite nice. Each of the balls has a distinct color and texture, making for a fun dish to consume. The tofu also contrasts nicely with the mini balls. The syrup ties all the elements together nicely. The dish does come cold, which makes it a good summer treat.

I LOOOOVE their cheese tart, it’s a must-try! Their anni tofu is also highly recommended - soft, smooth, not too sweet, and they jiggle jiggle.

The desserts are always served with good quality and customer service is excellent (most of the time). Really enjoy coming here to have a chat with friends. Definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Great variety of desserts and drinks, and their exclusive matcha and sesame toppings are awesome. And the price is very reasonable compared to other shops in the area.

The taro balls are my favourites.

Cold option was Luke warm. Half way into eating, found a piece of steel brush in my bite, and suspicious mucus. Upset stomach after 2 hours. Staff lack any kind of enthusiasm and manners. Don't go.

Good new dessert place in Richmond. Lots of different types of options to choose from. For the prices you pay, the servings were good Finally another competitor to Meet Fresh. Lots of seating inside but be prepared to wait on a busy evening. Got lucky and got a seat while we were waiting to order but probably waited about 15minutes before our dessert was ready. Decor was nice and upbeat with cute mascots.

A very cute dessert place. I really like the Longan Peach Gum- great dessert for the winter:) Will come back again.

Not good not worth it. Everything was just soaked in syrup and dumped together with no collective taste? ! Very bland. Won’t go back again.

Only warm jelly available. All u have to do is turn up the heat a lil. Also was missing heat inside woulda loved to eat without the restriction of ma jacket. But all in all ingredients tasted pretty fresh not overpowering but not bland either. Solid three for me.

Yet another dessert place. It is pretty popular for now. It is tasty enough and the items are a bit unique. Nothing else too special. Prices relatively okay.

After getting some recommendation from friends, I decided to check out the hype. I would have given this place a three star for the food, but the service and the people who works there are a peice of work. They have no expression or any emotion that they are happy to see customers. I remember one of the girls glaring at us for sharing one dessert instead of buying two. It is like attending a funeral except they are not greifing for their family but wishing they have died sooner. Bad atmosphere and attitude overall. Yikes.

We ordered two grass jelly bowls, one came with evaporated milk and one didn’t, when we asked for it, the waitress said it’s $0.75 each. When we explained that it was missing because the other bowl has it, the extremely RUDE waitress said to us “it’s just $0.75, how poor are you? (只是$0.75而已，你們是有多窮) ”

The name shown on the receipt of the waitress that placed our order and gave us the super rude comment was “BOSS”.

This is an unacceptable way to serve your customer and I don’t think anyone deserves this kind of service.

Food is okay but not exceptional. I’ve had better.

This place was awesome! The servings were generous and the food was delicious. We were lucky enough to have caught the owner there and he gave us some of his newest creations to test and sample (basically we were his guinea pigs) and the prototype deserts were delicious! Can't wait to come back again. This place really is giving the neighbouring dessert places a good run for their money.
