Contacted Black's Cycle online inquiring to purchasing a frame. Although I didn't end buying the frame Black's Cyles were extremely helpful and professional. Definitely recommend.

Carter and the crew at Blacks is always awesome to deal with! Super friendly and knowledgeable, happy to chat and get you setup with what you’re looking for. Also now they offer in house suspension rebuilding, no more sending it away. I just had my rear shock on my Dreadnought rebuilt and it’s feeling better than new! Was a 1 day turnaround and they checked over the bike while it was there, and got a new set of OneUp bars on there for me. Stoked to say the least, I’ll always recommend Blacks!

I received great service when I popped in right before the shop closed. They took the time to look up an item and order the size that I needed.

Talk about "Under Promise & Over Deliver"! Black's Cycle was fantastic. Recently, my rear tire picked up a large screw ending what was suppose to be a 3 hour ride. Expecting a hassle to quickly fix the problem, Black's (on very short notice) had me back in the saddle in very short time and for less $$$ than most places. Definitely my go to place now.

Any bike maintenance I can't do due to limited personal skill or time, Carter and Dylan are eager to expertly complete. All our Comox Valley bike shops are top notch but Black's is my go to LBS. They have always helped me out in a pinch with either my Warden or Honzo. Oh the recent shop renovations look great!

Blacks is a very unique shop.they have positioned themselves to serve a couple of totally different markets, and to do it well.commuter and recreational ebikes are a big part of the shop, but so are high end custom mtb builds, custom suspension set ups and all kinds of unique parts.lots of places in town are straight up the middle, but BC can take on almost any challenge.if you're looking for something unique, parts, tools, bikes, forks, they are your first stop and they love what they do.

Bought a pair of carbon wheels and pedals over the phone, but a series of unfortunate events followed. The shop had received the wrong spokes for the wheels, so this added about a week of delay. Then the box sat on the shop's floor for at least 3 days before Canada Post picked it up. I was starting to get frustrated by the whole process. Through all of this Carter was very responsive and answered my many emails within hours. Even though I was pestering him asking for updates, Carter remained polite, professional and proactive. I did end up receiving my wheels, and I'm really happy I ordered them from Black's Cycle. I would highly recommend this bike shop, if only for their dedicated customer support.

Took my old and tired Jamis in for a tune up and the crew at Black's did a great job bringing back to peak performance. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Service took only a few days. Can't go wrong here!

Absolutely STELLAR customer service! I never write reviews but these guys went above and beyond. I called to order a bike and Carter was super knowledgeable. I ran into several issues processing my order (credit card issues etc) and Carter couldn't have been more patient and helpful in resolving the issues. In this massive bike shortage he was able to secure me the exact color frame I wanted from the manufacturer. If I ever visit the area I'm definitely getting these guys a case of beer.

Had a really good experience dealing with Black's. They were laid back, flexible and professional. They will be my first stop for service and new bikes in the Comox Valley.

Everytime I went to the store, for small items, it turned into me leaving in frustration because the owner would try to upsell me. The first time was when I was getting back into mountain biking after 20 years. All I wanted was an entry-level helmet to get me on the trails for one season. I told him my budget was around $65. Within a few seconds the guy was trying to sell me one for $175. During another visit I witnessed him try to sell a new tire, to a senior, that would "match" the front tire, when all he wanted was to have a flat tire repaired.
Whenever someone asks me what bike shop to go to, here in the valley, I make a point of telling them NOT to go to Black's. I have not heard anything good about this shop, which reinforces that my few poor experiences are not abnormal.
