Blacksmith Bakery

My partner and I have been through this location numerous times since it opened, as we live close by. The food is fantastic and for a long time the drinks were great, too. However, the past few weeks we've been going, the drinks have been incredibly inconsistent.

My partner got a mocha latte and said it tasted like hot chocolate. I had the chai latte and it tasted more akin to a steamed milk than an actual chai latte (which I had one day prior and it was made properly). I don't understand the reasoning for the inconsistency, but it would be nice to go in expecting a consistent experience no matter the day, time or staff.

I have to emphasize that the food is incredible though, and when they're made properly, the drinks are great too. We won't stop coming here, and I recommend it for the food and atmosphere alone.

Just some slight criticisms on an otherwise wonderful experience.

I like the ambiance and environment but unfortunately the food is not good. We ordered egg Benedict and it tasted very weird. Very disappointing. Won’t come back.

Come here all the time. Service is great. Food is pretty solid, way more options than you’d think. Coffee is fantastic. Baked goods are solid. Layout is so good. Great place for a meeting.

Some hopefully constructive feedback. You serve booze, you have dinner-like food, why not open past 7? Would be great to have a beer and a pizza a little later on.

Have Victoria sponge cake and apple crumble cheesecake, the cashier explain what it is when I ask her what’s Victoria sponge cake, thank you for her patient:) I liked the cakes

This review is only for their baked goods like the pan au chocolat I got today. I think it needs to be baked longer.you can see this is still raw inside.

Have been to this place a few times and brunch has always been good that gets a good rating. Like I said this review is only for the baked stuff I got.

So aesthetic. Every location is so pretty but the one at Latimer village is huge and more sitting area. Food was fresh and so good.

Anything less than 3 stars is coming from a hater that maybe had a bad one off experience. Place is a lock at 5 Stars. Been 3 times, great food, drinks and hospitality is sufficient. Ambience is great and prime location.

Had a quick brunch with the family. Very nice staff! Great cafe atmosphere with great dishes such as the avocado toast and bread and butter pudding! Food came out hot and quick. Excellently priced kids menu. Son had the pepperoni pizza and loved it! Will definitely be in the rotation.

A really well thought out and designed area. Parking my seem a nightmare, but there is also an underground parking area. Great coffee, great food, great people.

Have visited their langley airport location before. This one was very busy and the atmosphere seemed very trendy and happening. They had lots of custom coffee drinks to choose from as well as alcohol and other beverages. They make fresh pizzas in front of you and of course their delicious pastries and cake slices. Had a great time. I will definitely be back. If you are around stop by and check it out.

One of my favorite cafe in Vancouver. The Benny was fantastic! I ordered the short rib mushroom Benny that was really tender and flavorful;) Now I don’t need to drive to fort Langley anymore.

6 dollars for a regular coffee. Long wait due to only one till. While other staff watches. No parking. Don't go here if u want a quick coffee to go.

Was recommended as one of the best bakeries in the Lower Mainland. Can't say for sure but definitely the best in the surrounding area. Will need to come back and try a bit more.

Amazing food and coffee etc. But. NO PARKING. There is 1.5 parking spaces for each company, in this lot. Such a shame.

Had a BAD experience there.
First, the cashier didn’t even greet and ask, “Ready to order? Name? Here? ” (I remember his name but don’t wanna mention)
Second, ordered White chocolate cranberry scone, it was awful. Taste like a flour itself.

I was stratified this cafe in Fort langley, and happy to be there BUT NOT HERE.

Love it! Since it opened a few months ago, we have been visiting it frequently and always have a great experience. I absolutely love the décor and the overall atmosphere, and the music is very relaxing! It's one of those places where you want to hang out for hours! The brunch food we tried was ok and the pizza was good. We also tried the cheesecake and the chocolate cake which were delicious! The coffee is great! The only thing we didn't enjoy was the gluten-free blueberry-or-something bar, which was very weird in terms of taste and texture. Their pastries, on the other hand, are absolutely perfect! The croissants, the pan au chocolat, hazelnut croissant and the kouign amann are to die for!
I'm so glad we have such a great place in Willoughby! Having moved from Downtown we were definitely missing places like this in Langley! Can't wait to enjoy their patio in the summer!

Great place, usually quite busy. Would love to see some blended cold drinks added to the menu so I don't need to hit Starbucks for a frappachino style beverage. Pizza here is fantastic.
Only gripe is it's not open too late so order early.

Nice and spacious are to grab breakfast and lunch if you're in the Langley area. We actually visit their Fort Langley location pretty frequent whenever we have a craving for some croissants and don't wanna make the trek all the way to downtown Vancouver. They certainly have some of the best selections in the Fraser Valley area.

The Langley locations is much bigger than the Fort Langley one. We showed up here at around 9: 30AM on a Saturday and the place was practically empty. But not long after people are coming in non-stop and the place was full in less than an hour. So come early!

Their price was somewhat on the higher end but everything these days are expensive. I'd say their pricing are similar that you'll find at other higher quality bakeries. And that's what they are, higher quality bakery. Just to give you an idea, 2 x 16oz latte, an egg Benny, French toast, and a sticky bun will ring you maybe close to ~$50ish

We've never tried their lunch menu, but their pizza and other bowls look good. Definitely would stop by and try out their lunch menu next time.

What a super little hideaway. This will be my new hangout for sure.
Any special coffee you wish, large menu of great food. The broccoli and garlic soup is awesome.

We are probably Blacksmith’s Bakery newest fans! Everything we tried at both their Langley and Fort Langley locations was delicious.

My favourite bakery! The service is friendly, the environment is beautiful and their food is incredible! Try their carbonara pizza if you haven’t already, it’s a foodgasm in your mouth

The people working are lovely and the cafe is very clean and nice looking. The coffee was good but the bakedgoods we had were not. We had the apple crumble cheesecake and it had a weird texture (like it was somehow separating?) and the apple was very crunchy and hard.
