Blacksmith Bakery

I ordered the chorizo hash for breakfast and regretted it as soon as I took a bite. My potato’s and eggs were swimming in a bolognese-like sauce. This would be tasty if serving with pasta but not so much when you looking for a breakfast option. Toast was dry and burnt. Eggs Benny were bland and the potato’s served on the side were also completely unseasoned.

I will give credit for the super creamy London Fog.

A huge line formed while we were dining here so it certainly seems like a popular spot. However, we probably ordered wrong as most seemed to be getting pastries to go. Perhaps we would have had a better experience if we had done the same and skipped trying to get an actual meal here. Overall, I would not recommend this spot as my partner and I left feeling extremely disappointed.

Very nice bakery in Fort Langley. Visited here after a weekend bike trip for Coffee and Pastry.

Several options for breakfast, Pizza, Pastry and coffee. Great service with good food.

Reasonable prices with variety of Sandwiches, pastries and coffee options.

Patio dining is also available.
Road side parking option.

Will go back surely to try other pastry options.

This is our favorite bakery stop every time we're in Fort Langley. Delicious pastries, yummy brunch and the best oat milk lattes. It gets busy, but it's fast and wonderful service. So don't be discouraged if there's a line when you show up.

Food and drinks are great. The customer service is awesome, the efficiency and lack of attention the employees have is embarrassing to humanity. I’ve been coming here for over a year regularly and it’s almost a joke to see how horrible the employees are at their job

OMG these guys are the best! They have the best croissants ever. My mom and I always get croissants and coffee when I visit from the Island. But they have amazing baking and great food! Highly recommended ️

I stopped in to blacksmith for a quick bite and I tried their bacon croissant. It was big, flaky and full of bacon and cheese. Very happy with it and would definitely get it again!

The food is very good. We especially enjoyed the croissants. But unfortunately the staff wasn’t exactly warm and inviting. Could be just a one off experience. But it was a bit of a disappointment

Delicious drinks and treats, no wonder they’re always so busy! Always a favourite go to of mine, and a great idea to gift to someone who needs a pick me up!

Very good bakery with a big variety of snacks, drinks and salads. Really recommend to enjoy. Usually with a line, but worth it.

I'm a huge fan of their croissants. They light and flaky with an amazing buttery taste. My favorite kind has to be the bacon cheddar croissant. Three amazing things put together so you know it's incredibly good.
Even though it looked really good, I wasn't a fan of the fruit & nut sticky bun and only ate half of it (and I never waste food).
The iced mocha was good. I like them on the sweeter side and this hit the spot.

Great selection of pastries but more expensive than most cafes. Nice atmosphere and occasional lineups.

Pastries and food are simply amazing and the staff is wonderful.
I highly recommend them if you're in the Fort and looking for coffee and a dessert or something to eat.

Blacksmith Bakery is our go to place in Ft. Langley for coffee and baked goodies. Their breakfasts are good too. If you are a group of more than four, get there early, it fills up fast. In pleasant weather there are tables outside too.
Back to Blacksmith for breakfast today.
Great mochas, breakfast sandwich for DH, clafoutis (GF) for me. Blacksmith is always so good.

If I could, I’d hammer my touchmark of approval on the Blacksmith Bakery. If they have the time and space (which can be tough at times - its that popular) I *cannot* walk by the Blacksmith. At the very least, they’re my community, almost my family actually. Which might seem an odd thing to say, but not for me because I’m a Blacksmith.

Chancing upon this shop on the corner of Church Street was one thing, going inside to try what was appealing to so many people was another. It was to my pleasant surprise that it held the weight it pulled with its hard working staff and dedicated team to the craft of baked goods, generous meal portions, and specialty drinks. The blacksmith bakery has firmly established itself as a staple for the Fort Langley area. There is no doubt about it. Rain or shine. Hot or cold. There is a constant lineup. It's popularity speaks to the masses that gather outside it's doors. Its influence has also spawned a new location. Blacksmith bakery is a force to tango with, and it certainly leads its patrons to a song of a wonderful time.

Cozy little coffee shop/bakery near historic Fort Langley. Had a hazelnut coissant and coffee. The coissant was average, coffee was good, but a little pricey.

Great place! We really enjoyed their White Chocolate and Cranberry Scones. I'll definitely be back.

I'm very disappointed that I got their Victoria sponge cake for take-out today. It is a very dried sponge as a day-old or longer as homemade cake in the fridge for a couple of days. Croissant and sticky bun are good. I won't buy a cake again, though. There's no chance to drive back there on the highway for just a piece of cake. Especially we have an infant baby.

Stopped here for tea/coffee with a friend. Really cute cafe with a nice selection of pastries (some I haven't seen since living in France).
I had the peppermint tea, which was average, and the kouign amann. The kouign amann was so delicious and I felt priced fairly at $4. I will definitely be back for more.

I ordered a sandwhich and a sticky bun. I received a croissant with ham by mistake but they gave it to me for free and brought me a sticky bun too! Thanks!

Wonderful pastries, sandwiches, pizzas, coffees & teas. Inside and patio seating. Sometimes they have long lineups but totally worth it.

The staff were very friendly and the americano misto was great! The Avocado toast that I got to-go was disappointing. The plastic fork broke as I tried to cut the toast and the Avocado spread was very bland with no flavor and to top it off it was loaded with plain leaves of spinach. I have definitely made better Avocado toast at home haha.

Overpriced garbage food. The avocado toast had NO flavour. I love eggs and avocado and I couldn't eat it. What a waste of money

This place is wonderful. I love the atmosphere and the staff were so friendly. I got a medium drip coffee and a bacon cheddar croissant. The croissant was so good! I had to resist the urge to order a second! Awesome place, will definitely come here again.

Quick and helpful service. I was able to get in and out (with a baby and a 2-year-old) within 5 minutes.

Consistently astounding pastries and specialties available.
Enjoyed the Fort Trail Bar made in house. Full of oats, nuts, peanut butter and cranberries.
Ordered an oat milk dirty chai and it was delicious!
The cafe is always clean and has a good energy.

Disappointing!
The coffee is good, but the “breakfast sandwich” is a joke, precooked ingredients that don’t even look or taste like poached eggs and sausage.

One of the baristas, Abi, was super awesome today. I went back 2-3 times to get my latte sweetened and she had no problem helping me out. I felt back having to go back but her exact words were “No worries, I want you to love your drink! ” Excellent service here! Mik at the cash register was also delightful.

Delicious baked goods and pastries - worth every penny! Ordered a Kouign Amann which is one of their best sellers and I can see why - crispy on the outside for texture and soft on the inside. Nothing too special about the coffee but I would come back just for the pastries.

One of the reasons I went out to Fort Langley today was to try Blacksmith Bakery. I ordered 2 butter croissants, 1 pain au chocolat, 1 bacon and cheddar croissant, and 2 Kouign Amanns. However, the order I received was completely wrong and wasn't even the right amount of pastries that I ordered. It is very disappointing as I really wanted to try the butter croissant and there were none in my box of pastries. I would recommend double checking to make sure you receive the right pastries. I have sadly now paid for pastries that I never received.

We come here after dog walks and get the pain au chocolat and ham and Swiss croissants. They are so good that I can't bring myself to try anything new!

Had the kouign amann, which was not what I was expecting. Kouign amanns are supposed to be sweet, buttery, and flaky. Like a sweet croissant, but this one was bready, like it was made with cinnamon bun dough.

Ordered a Benedict for myself and a croissant for my daughter. After waiting 20 minutes for my eggs it arrived cold. I inquired with the server where the croissant was. He nodded and walked away. After couple minutes I inquired at the till. It was sitting on the counter behind her. She offered it to me cold. I asked it to again be warmed up and that we were sitting on the couch. A minute later her and the barista were yelling “CROISSANT” from the behind the counter. I walked over and explained that I had assumed it would be delivered as I was given a number. The male barista (grey/white beard) rudely told me I have to “get it yourself”.

Great coffee house/artisan bakery with a nice refined menu. Serving up awesome local ingredients with a Parisian flare! Kid friendly play area too!

Amazing baked goods here and the coffee is really well-made. They make all the bakery items in the back, the fruits cheesecake and the croissants are both amazing

Always fresh bakery nice variety of pastries. They have a large assortment of coffee beverages and also do a really great looking pizza which I have yet to try.

A cute cafe and bakery we visit everytime we go to Fort Langley! This time we had the early grey eclair (4/5 stars) and bread pudding (3/5 stars)

Shared 2 sweets with a glass of wine while we relaxed on sofas in the cafe. It was a great start to the stroll through Fort Langley.

$16 for the blacksmith Benedict, you are paying the tourist premium here. The taste is nothing much to write home about. Mediocre at best.

Nice location.also has kids corner me and my wife can enjoy some quiet time while keeping my LO occupied. Guinness and Bailey's cake and brownie taste good

Great poached eggs. I told tried the pain au chocolat and cheese croissant and they were really good too.

The Butterfly Blue Matcha Latte doesn't really taste like matcha. There is a wired herbal taste which I assume is coming from whatever that makes it blue. After finishing half of the latte then I can start to taste some matcha but the taste is still quite weak. I wouldn't recommend it.

Yes to all the other great reviews on the food and drinks here! Yes, some of the food is (a little too) pricey, and yes, sometimes it's super busy, but worth the wait. Perhaps that's why (in 2019!) there is no WiFi here, to encourage people not to camp out, but with all the other great options in town, I unfortunately skip this cafe now. Sometimes we want to disconnect by connecting, or at least have that option.

Great hangout in Fort Langley! Baked goods are my go to (the pan au chocolat) to accompany a tasty Americano but I’m not sure you can make a bad choice here.

I really love this place but wish there was wifi so I could work while eating and enjoying my coffee. Everything seems a tiny bit overpriced too, but I guess because it's such a touristy area. The food is yummy and pretty healthy.

Went today and it was a nice location and scenery, however food was pricey for what you get. My wife and I went to have lunch, we ordered together and got our food about 10 mins apart. She got her eggs while waited an additional 10 mins for my calzone. Better time management is needed for this so that people can eat together and food is served at the same time.

This bakery has quickly become my favourite local European style Cafe. I make a point of trying the croissant everywhere I go since I am from Europe myself and seek a certain taste, quality and texture in this artisan pastry delight. The croissants here are hands down the best I have had in the lower mainland and I've tried a few. The coffee doesn't quite hit the sweetspot as I enjoy a perfectly brewed Cafe con Leche like in Spain or France. The brunches are very good though with local ingredients which is important to me. The Victoria sponge is a little too dense and too sweet compared to the ones in UK.

Went here for the first time and oh boy it was good. Got a London fog and a slice of Guinness and Bailey's cake. Phenomenal. 10/10 would come back and eat more baked goods.

I had the absolute worst Margherita pizza I've ever had. Crust was like cardboard, and for whatever reason, we kept getting a hint of blue cheese after taste, like the ingredients used to make the pizza were off. The pizza also seemed like it was under-baked all throughout, which was odd considering how paper thin the crust was. The place had a very stuffy smell, like the central air system was inadequate.

To boot, the "clean" cutlery had food stuck on it. The whole place seemed dirty, not well maintained, and we did not enjoy anything about it. We tried to branch out and ended up going back to Wendels right after and had a wonderful meal for less cost. Makes me realize how well Wendels does it.

I love the Guiness and Bailys chocolate cake! 5 stars for the cake. Pure happiness! Had the Pizza too. Loved that they could do half and half. My pizza was so good I ate the whole
thing!

Great place for pastries and coffee but the service is not well focused as the young staff do not seem to approach their duties with a caring or efficient approach to the customer. Better staff training on these points would go a long way to having a loyal return clientele.
