Blenz Coffee

My friends and I dined in today and we had been sitting at our table for 10 minutes before one of the workers came to us and said “tables are only for customers. ” Meanwhile there was 2 other parties in the store, and it was 6pm. It was not busy at all. We were discussing at our table what to order because we did not want to stand in line for 10 minutes and be in the way of others. Why are we being rushed? Extremely unwelcoming. I’ve been to many blenz locations before and have done the exact same thing during non busy times. Why is the staff in a rush to close the store down at 6pm?

Quiet spacious and lots of smiles from gracious staff. And the coffee was great. And that cinnamon bun? Stratospheric comes to mind.

I go to Blenz often as I am always on the go between jobs and take my break at coffee shops. Today I rushed in because my 5 year old had to use the bathroom and the barista told me bathrooms are for customers only. I asked my older daughter to choose something while I take my son to the bathroom because there was a lineup and I didn’t want him to have an accident. The barista rudely told me that I have to pay for something first before she lets me use the bathroom. I left … I wasn’t going to waste my money at a place with such horrendous service. I have NEVER had this happen to me before. I stop at different coffee shops on a daily basis and most of the time I need to use the bathroom before I order and have never been told to pay for my drink first.
You have just lost a customer!

First day of Autumn! Celebrate with pumpkin spice latte

Place was dead on a sat morning at 8am but Ashley was super upbeat and friendly. Warmed up my food and make me a great late quickly.

Amazing customer service. I overheard the woman employee helping; going above and beyond to help a vegan customer alter a drink to make it to her lifestyle choice. Both ladies on shift today were so accommodating. Definitely coming back again and again

I love their beverages. I Especially love how they prepare matcha lattes. Way better then Starbucks from my experience. It's properly mixed in and not all sunken to the bottom!

Their sizes are also great! They have non dairy options for drinks. I just wish they had some more vegan food options. They do have an amazing vegan brownie though!

To Kaitlyn Gresham, it is THEIR JOB to close the store and it is you that are wrong for coming in and having a fit over what they are told and assigned to do. Get over yourself

Went in to grab a drink 17 min Till closing, and these 2 girls look depressed as I'm ordering something, then proceed to tell me that they cleaned the machines out and can't serve me basically. Super ridiculous. Also considering I am reading comments and it seems to be happening often. Won't be going back

Just walked in at 6: 40pm to get a blended drink, barista said no because they close in “15 minutes” while it was actually 20. Starbucks would never do that. It’s not that hard to re-clean a blender. I’ve done it before. Very lazy employee.

The hand-drawn signage on the wall is welcoming and also serves to highlight some interesting menu choices. It's a nice touch.

The menu itself is positioned oddly - you have to stand right in front of the till to actually see it, so you can't look it over before it's your time to order unless you leave the line and go stand in the middle of the seating area. Quite unusual.

Staff were very friendly, helpful with suggestions, and took care in preparing everything. I was delighted to see the oat fudge bar and give it a try; it was a disappointing experience of dry 'oat' and almost tasteless chocolate - not worth the $5.65 they charge for it.

Overall a great place to grab a drink but would probably take a few experimental visits to find the gems on the menu.

Been going here more recently every morning to get a nice warm drink, the staff that are in at the start of the morning has been real friendly and helpful when suggesting new drinks for me to try when I want something different and so far I’ve enjoyed all the suggestions. Great place, great staff and great drinks

Although I did prefer the older seating arrangements, the staff of the store now are equally wonderful. Thank you!

Great staff and enjoyable experience. Hasnt changed always love visiting and enjoying a nice cup of coffee, or now my new favorite London fog. The ladies always make it enjoyable and pleasant

I love going to Blendz. It's so close to home. I bring my son and my sister here. Normally we go 2-3 x a week. Sometimes less. It's a lovely atmosphere. Tonight after a long day at work, I was really looking forward to going. My sister and I left immediately. We were told that the bathrooms are closed from now on from 6 till close. Why? We asked if something was wrong with the bathroom. The barrista is like nope. They're just closed from 6 to close. They have been for November and December. My sister and I went to Blendz several times during November and December after 6pm and not once were the bathrooms closed. What kind of policy is this? What am I supposed to do if I need the bathroom? Run around to one of the other stores and hope that they'll let me use their bathroom without purchasing something first.
I won't be going back. It's too bad. I really loved going.

I've been going to this Blenz for several years and typically I've found it to be a very welcoming place with a nice ambiance and for the most part friendly staff. I've never had an issue with my drinks or the food. Many good reasons to return. However I'm posting this review because the last few times that I've gone in I've noticed that the staff have been mopping the floors and deep cleaning during operating hours that typically should be done once a coffee shop/restaurant has closed. For example I was in last week and it was 6: 20 pm (closing is 8: 00 pm) and while myself and other customers were trying to chat/relax and enjoy our coffees/snacks, a staff member was mopping the floor with a large heavy wet mop and bucket, moving tables loudly etc. Also the cleaner they have been using is extremely strong smelling and again it makes the whole experience not very enjoyable. It feels a little like we are being a sent a message to "please leave". As this is not the first time this has happened recently I now have to ask - is this management's decision/instruction to do this? Or is it staff who are hoping to duck out quickly as soon as the "CLOSED" sign goes on the door at 8: 00 pm? I have never had this happen at any other coffee shop or restaurant. I said to a friend of mine "can you imagine going to say The Keg or White Spot and having a person with a large bucket and mop go by your table with the strong smell of ammonia while you're trying to eat your lunch or dinner? ". I'm not certain why the staff would think this is acceptable?

Sweetest set of people, I tried Pumpkin spice latte for the first time and the staff knew about it to be my first time and like many people I couldn’t develop a taste for it and didn’t like it. The staff (I remember one name -Ashley) replaced my drink with any other I like for no charge:) loved the gesture and service by them. I wish I could also get the name of the other lady that made me the delicious Hazelnut mocha in replacement. Thank you very much:)
