Went to Bliss after first going to a different bridal shop, and Bliss just could not meet my expectations based off of my first experience. I felt it was more transactional than personal, the dress quality didn't seem as good, and the lighting was just awful. It's possible that my experience would have been better had I only come to Bliss, but it didn't hold a candle to the other shop.

I recently had two separate bridal appointments with Holly at Bliss, and I am just so happy with the care and customer service we received! I specifically came to Bliss for my “dream” dress (which is the dress I ended up purchasing!), but Holly was able to nail down my style and present me with some fantastic options other than the dress I ended up purchasing. She was respectful of my budget, she listened to my requests, and she didn’t make me feel any pressure to buy the dress during my first appointment. We ended up back at Bliss 3 weeks later for a follow up appointment to try the dress on one last time before purchasing, and Holly just helped to make the appointment feel so special. I am so thankful to Holly and the rest of the Bliss team for helping me say yes to my dream wedding dress!

I just said yes to the dress at Bliss bridal, I had the best experience! Amazing staff, I had Amethyst and I can’t say enough good things about her! She definitely knows her stuff!

We went to Bliss Bridal the other day for bridesmaid dress shopping and it was such a fun and incredible experience thanks to our helper, Holly! She was so incredible and brought so many dresses for my girls to try on, and gave incredible suggestions and advice! The prices for the dresses plus alterations were reasonable too. Biggest thank you to Holly for helping my bridesmaids!

I said yes to my dress today!
Holly made me feel absolutely stunning and I was so worried about my appointment beforehand but she made me feel gorgeous.

An amazing experience and I’m so glad I got to spend this special event with someone as fantastic as Holly!

I have to say I’m shocked. I didn’t plan on leaving a review back in March because I wasn’t overly pleased with the lady helping me. I was constantly calling her to help zip and clip up the dress. She would just walk away. That isn’t the part that I’m shocked about though. I told her I was willing to buy a dress off the rack and get it altered back in my small community. I found the perfect dress, I thought. It was all clipped so I had no idea how much it needed to be altered, nor did I realize what a job it would be. I said, and she heard me, I’m sure a couple hundred dollars will cover alterations and it will still be in budget. Not a word from her about sizing or the lace. To say the least I’m at approximately $800 in alterations and that’s not even fitting it to my chest yet! To say the least, she made a sale alright, to an obviously gullible customer. If they’re experts then why wasn’t it mentioned that this specific dress would be a lot of work and a whole lot of money.

I had an amazing experience at Bliss Bridal this past June. My consultant was Holly and she made my dress shopping experience perfect and was able to help me find my dream dress. Definitely recommend shopping at Bliss Bridal.

I booked a last minute appointment after several disappointing appointments at other bridal stores, I wasn't really expecting much to come from it. My consultant Amethyst was amazing and blew me away from the start. She took the time to listen to me, to understand what I was looking for, she was so sweet and made me feel like a million bucks in every dress. She absolutely nailed my requests as the dress I fell in love with ended up being the first dress she brought me. That was such an incredible experience, and I felt so gorgeous and amazing. I cannot wait to pick up my dress and now have to resist showing everyone how gorgeous it is before my wedding. 10 out of 10 recommend

My family and I had a wonderful experience here. I ended up finding my dream dress even though my style was pretty niche. Holly was so incredibly sweet and so fun and made me feel incredibly comfortable!

The staff here are experts and it shows!

Holly was absolutely amazing! She was able to find everything I was looking for (& in my price range - even better!). She helped me find my absolute dream dress. I couldn’t say better things about her and recommend her more. It was truly such a great experience to have with my mom, MIL, best friend and 3 month old daughter. I really can’t thank Holly enough, and I can’t stop thinking about my dress all thanks to her!

My daughter and I had a wonderful day in Kelowna shopping for her grade 12 prom dress, it was a special event that we made the day of. We made an appointment at Bliss Bridal and the session went really well; the clerk was attentive and professional, and my daughter was thrilled with how all seven of the dresses she tried on looked. It was almost impossible for her to decide which one to buy. The one she chose needed 'minor alterations' that we would get done in our hometown (2.5 hours away). The Bliss Bridal clerk assured us multiple times that it would be no problem for our seamstress to make the needed alterations. We chose Bliss because we are not well versed in sewing or formal wear. We valued their professional opinion and guidance. Sadly it turned out that the alteration was NOT minor in any way. My daughter is a size two and the dress we bought was a size 0 that required major alterations that took well over two hours. Our seamstress, who has been doing prom dress alterations for over two decades, felt terrible for us but in the end took just over two hours of her time. She explained that she would need to add a panel at the back and that the fabric is fragile to work with. The seamstress also went on to say that she sees this all the time from formal wear shops; the lack of knowledge on what can and cannot be done with ease to a dress that doesn't fit at the time of purchase. I contacted Bliss Bridal and explained the situation with pictures from the time of purchase and the alteration. I asked Bliss Bridal to reimburse us for the $150 that the alteration cost, but they refused and took absolutely no responsibility for the poor advice that we were given. We were disappointed that such a high end specialty show would give poor advice in the first place, and then that they would not take responsibility was the icing on the cake. I would not recommend this business. Mistakes can happen, but to call themselves a professional establishment and not take any responsibility is unacceptable. In our email exchanges they went as far as to question my honesty about when my daughter's prom was taking place and tried to blame the seamstress for not knowing what she was doing.

I had an amazing experience at Bliss, all thanks to Holly! She was patient, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to help me find my dream wedding dress and make me sparkle. She made the entire process comfortable and enjoyable, and I cannot thank her enough for her dedication and hard work.

Amethyst assisted me in finding my gown. She listened to my concerns, likes and dislikes and brought me gowns that fit what I was looking for. The experience was very professional and fun. The dresses are great quality as well!

The ladies working here are snobby and unhelpful. Definitely did not like the way we felt in here compared to other shops in town. Definitely would not recommend shopping here unless you like when people treat you poorly.

In a word, disappointed. At first, The stylist was lovely listening to my ideas and looking at my inspiration pictures. I had wanted whimsical, and she said that she had a gown in mind but it was $2,500 and my budget was $2000. After some discussion I decided I could go above, IF it was the absolute right dress.
While she pulled some beautiful gowns, I felt the experience was significantly decreased by the fact that we were not allowed to view any dresses in the gallery. I also would have found it helpful as a customer instead of being asked what I don't like about dresses to instead be given some prompts by someone who knows the industry well such as "Is it the lace, the neckline, the sparkle, the etc etc etc. That doesn't seem right? ". It can be hard to pinpoint what isn't right when this isn't what we do every day as clients.
I tried on one solid white dress that was not what I had envisioned at all, but loved regardless. In the end, my decision came down to this plain dress vs the over budget dress. I asked if I could try both on again and we started with the one over budget. It was nearing the end of the day and I definitely felt things shift from helpful consultant to "car salesman" and felt very pushed in the end. I walked down the gallery to the large mirror but still wasn't sure. So I specifically asked if I could take a day to think about it (This dress is over budget, no returns. No exchanges. No going back. This is a huge purchase.) and my request was not respected. With a scoff I was asked What would change over night. This felt very challenging and disrespectful. I had asked to think on it, I clearly wasn't 100% sure it was my dress. I expressed this, to which she said "It's okay not to have an emotional attachment to an article of clothing". As if it was just some winter jacket. She asked what i would change and I couldnt pick anything, so I was pressed harder. I said i liked the sleeves, but it seemed weird to pick a dress over budget just based on a sleeve and she said "Not at all, we get that often". Learning later, I could have added sleeves to nearly any dress. The vibe radiated that they were seeing dollar signs instead of an unsure, deflated bride to be.
Under the pressure, staring at myself and the eyes of the stylist with her arms crossed, I said "I guess" to the dress- Paying $2800 + after taxes.
Further disappointment came at pick up when there was another girl with my name waiting to look at gowns. The employee was advised to call by my last name and didn't, which resulted in the other girl following her, and the employee not listening to me saying it was my dress that had arrived, she had the wrong girl. Had it not been for the receptionist, she would have put a different girl in my nearly $3000 gown. I tried it on, and she did not fluff my dress on the podium, and after one turn she said "I can get you out of it now". I had further questions about potentially ordering longer sleeves so she grabbed a manager, who asked when my wedding would be. She said there likely wouldn't be time because it takes 3-4 months, and there wasn't time to discuss it today, and sleeves would be $500-900. I found this dismissive and rude, first of all as my wedding was 5 months out and the cost part was very snippy. I took a picture in my dress and was again told that she can get me out of it. Extremely rushed, I hardly had any time to really look at the dress I was pressured to purchase.
Reading others reviews, this was not a unique, unfortunate, one time situation.
This team clearly has a tendency to miss the mark on client care and instead focuses on cutting people short, stretching their budget, and pressuring to put more in their pockets.
I will say after going home and trying it on in my own time, the dress is pretty, and i think i will be happy with it. They have a nice selection and the stylist pulled beautiful gowns, but that didn't make up for the rest of my experience

I’ve waited to post this cause I really wanted to digest my experience.
I booked an appt with bliss bridal, showed up early as requested. When I entered the shop the lady at the desk did not acknowledge my mom and I. I checked in and she never looked up from the computer screen, she pointed and said, “you can sit there and we will be right with you. ” After about 10 mins another lady walked up to us. Introduced herself to me and started walking. She never acknowledged my mom at all. I felt like that was very rude. The whole appointment I never felt welcomed or
that the lady helping me truly knew what I was looking for. I’m just very disappointed in this experience. This is suppose to be an amazing experience and I almost feel like it was taken away. The staff did not seem

Amazing! Seriously. I went to a couple stores before this and tried on a million different dresses. I was so overwhelmed by all of the choices. When I got to Bliss Bridal, they really listened to what I wanted and made it so, so easy. They also stuck to my budget. I didn’t feel pressured into buying something. They asked how I was doing/feeling and made me feel relaxed and a lot less overwhelmed. I can’t remember my stylists name, but she had a very calming way about her. She asked a lot of questions about what I did or didn’t like. I was so relieved and excited and happy when I said yes to the dress!

Bliss is a beautiful shop and some of their dresses are lovely but my experience was not lovely. The woman who was helping me pick out dresses seemed polite when I was telling her about what I wanted from a dress but then immediately seemed annoyed and tired when I told her my budget and that I was possibly interested in a black dress.from that point in the appointment on she was annoyed with myself, my fiance and my maid of honor when we asked questions about alterations or details of the dresses. She seemed very rude and she wanted to pressure me into buying a dress that day and in the end I just felt bad about taking up time and left feeling insecure. I’ve found my dream dress elsewhere but the atmosphere at bliss was just not great and I wouldn’t recommend it to my friends, unfortunately.

Huge rave for Bliss bridal! Amethyst was more than amazing! I told her what a iwanted and she went above and beyond, in fact the very first dress she pulled was the one I ended up picking! She was so accommodating to myself and my bridal party:)
100/10 reccomend! Can't wait to wear my dress this summer!

I had such a great experience here! I am a pretty easy going bride (far from a bridezilla lol) but that being said when I first walked in I felt super intimidated as it is out of my comfort zone but I quickly felt at ease and had so much fun. I had the stylist Laura (laura’s unite!) ;) and she was super great. They are so professional and the whole experience is everything one would want and hope for in bridal dress shopping. The private area and podium you get to share with your friends and family while you try the gowns on is so great! Laura was super helpful and asked me my budget and asked if I had any photos I had saved of dresses/styles that I like which I did and showed her. By the time I got to my 4th or 5th dress I found the one! Another great thing Laura told me was she would never bring me anything to try on that’s out of my budget which was really nice. I did not feel pressured at all. I found the whole process really great and I love the sign you get to pose with after) If you’re wondering where you should go bridal shopping, don’t look any further, book an appointment, this is the place!

I was very disappointed at my experience. This was the first bridal store I visited and unfortunately, they did not let me browse at their collection. For me at least, they had strict rules that we (friends and I) were not allowed to walk around the main hall area where all the dresses are displayed. I was forced to describe dresses that I wanted, which was impossible because at this point, I didn’t even know anything about wedding dresses. And if I didn’t like a dress, the sales consultant keep trying to ask me again why I didn’t like the dress. Sometimes it’s just a feeling, it’s hard to say it’s the neckline or the lace. And since we were not allowed to even look at options ourselves, we could effectively shop. What’s the point of having a beautiful hall full of dresses, that people can see from the street if we are not even allowed to see and touch them?

Also…. I got “scolded” from leaving my first dress that I tried on the floor. The sales consultant seem to be very unhappy that I didn’t hang them properly. Maybe try to give instructions at the beginning? Also wedding dresses are extremely difficult to hang, with the strap etc. (Other stores I visited later were all helpful with taking care of dresses. They simple told me to either put it on the chair, or to hand it to them. I did not have to struggle to put a dress back into a hanger) ”.)

To make things worse, the sales consultant was very unhappy that I wanted to try on a dress with the heels I brought. The dress had a high slit, so in my mind, I had to put on my shoes to get the whole picture. The consultant was worried I would rip the dress. I understand that point, but for a dress that is $2500, there is no mistake to be made. I had to insist that I needed to see the full slit to shoe look.

I went to 4 more bridal stores after this horrible experience. And all of them were 100% more pleasant. I felt the freedom and joy of shopping for an important dress. I was not going to write such negative review, however I felt obligated to share. Every bride should feel more appreciated. I am hoping other brides find either a better consultant or a different place to shop.

Unfortunately Bliss failed to provide a comfortable, welcoming, and enjoyable experience.

There was one dress I was interested in, but out of principle, I could not get myself to return to the store to make an order.
