Blo Blow Dry Bar

First time getting a blow dry at this location and it will be my last.

I came here for a nice pick me up prior to wedding dress shopping and was met with a stylist that didn’t introduce herself and didn’t talk to me the entire time of my service.

I had asked to switch my service to a custom hair style (half up), and I was told it was more money and probably not worth it? Money wasn’t an issue, I just wanted to look good trying on dresses.

I settled for loose beach wave curls and what I got was nothing close to that. When I asked her to brush out the curls, I was told she could not do that because she put in “Sticky” hairspray and that I could just run my hands through my hair myself after the hairspray dried.

I don’t have time to drive home and fix the hair myself and I’m extremely disappointed.

There is a general lack of consistency between staff members. I had just subscribed to monthly service after having the best blowout of my life through classpass, but left feeling like I could achieve the same result at home, I've had a total of 4 blowouts now, but only left satisfied with one. This latest one was flat within an hour and just generally does not give me hope for future services.

Fast service. Kind ladies, make sure you book online! For some reason, my GPS took me to the wrong place.

I came here on a whim during a recent vacation in Vancouver when I realized i left my hot tools at home! Eek.the staff was so gracious in not only rescheduling when i needed to but also using my own allergy-friendly shampoo and conditioner.my stylist was warm and friendly and did an incredible job giving me a beachy blowout.the salon itself is sleek and gorgeous and in a great location.i hope to return to another blo location closer to home or on my travels very soon!

I had a really nice time there but I was really disappointed that my 'style' had completely fallen down/out within an hour of leaving. I know I have thick and heavy hair, but I booked the extra time and also described and kept describing how thick my hair was throughtout.

I experienced severe hair loss after my recent appointment here in June. I asked the stylist 3-4 separate times to stop yanking on my hair, he was pulling so hard that my head kept snapping back, over and over and over. I kept asking him to stop and he just kept apologizing and pulling just as hard if not harder. Giant clumps of hair were being pulled out of my head…And my scalp is still trying to recover. The salon was also quite obviously overbooked. I used to love coming here for a pick-me-up but I sadly won’t be returning.

Nice people work here but after a couple of bad experiences and a non compliance with an expectation guaranteed to have a more senior stylist, I was provided with an individual that was just starting. They are not trustworthy.

Definitely not good at doing hair. Asked for old Hollywood curls and it looked nothing like it. And the curls fell out within 30 minutes. I was disappointed as I could of curled my hair myself at home better. I also booked a head massage but the hair wash was like 1 minute long and I asked about the head massage and the girl said she doesn’t have time. Like not good….

I have a toddler and infant and work full time. This is how I treat myself for important meetings because I have no time in the mornings. The ladies always do a great job. I'm in and out within 45 mins and the blo out lasts all day.

I visit Blo Yaletown location approx twice a month and I always leave feeling fab. My girl is Jaclyn she does such an awesome job. Not only does she do my hair just the way I like, she makes me feel really special and we always have a laugh. I would recommend Blo and Jaclyn to anyone. Always a good time to get a Blo.

Wow! What service. Helen did an incredible job giving me a classic blow out. She was so kind, and made me feel like a queen! I kid you not, when waiting for my Uber out front - I was stopped by another woman who complimented my fantastic hair. It felt like a movie. In a time when we easily forget how cute we are because of all the sweats and messy buns, getting an appointment at Blo is one of the most uplifting forms of self care. Can’t say enough good things about this simple luxury of a service!

Service was great, loved my hair when it was done! It was quick and relaxing. A bit on the pricier side but worth it!

Receptionist at Yaletown was rude. Hairstylists are very nice and accommodating. They listen to what you want. Price is fair.

I love Blo! Have been going for 8+ years and will not go anywhere else! R’s my go-to girl but everyone there is so great! Such a friendly, fun environment & my blow outs last a full week! Highly recommend it & I buy gift cards for my girlfriends!

Love this place. My go to girls are Jazmira and Leticia, no one knows how to blow out my hair like they do! <3
