Blo Blow Dry Bar

Booked an appointment for hair and makeup day before, hair looked amazing in the studio but the hair did not hold at all. Was completely flat 2 hours later. Also got charged a $25 cancellation fee for cancelling 1 of the 2 services. I cancelled 1 of the services very soon after I made the appointment, which was not taken into consideration at all. The staff apologized while continuing to charge me $25, that is not an apology. Felt like more of a money grab at that point. They conveniently ignored my email until the last minute and never warned me about a cancellation fee over the phone.

I've been here multiple times for hair and makeup. Every time, I'm prepared for the appointments to run late as they are always late to start.
This past weekend, my mom had booked two makeup and hair appointments for her and myself. The makeup artist was 45 minutes late so we could not get both our makeups done that day, as then we would be late for our event. The makeup artist kept saying "I'm known for being fast. I can do it. I'm really fast" which isn't exactly something you want to hear from someone working on your face. (She also wasnt actually any faster than anyone else who has done my makeup. Not sure what I was supposed to expect)

I'm usually happy with my hair when it's done here so 2 stars for quality I guess. But don't come here expecting them to keep your appointment time.

Honestly, I probably won't be coming back. I've chosen Blo in the past for location convenience. But if they can't learn to manage time better, I can't risk booking with them for future events.

Really nice blowout experience. My stylist was lovely and my hair turned out great. Was also able to make a same day appointment!

Maddy is terrific. Not only did she style my hair beautifully, she also recommended a coffee shop!

I got my hair and makeup done before my engagement photos and it turned out SO well! The stylists did a wonderful job and were fun to spend time with. They did exactly what I wanted and made a few suggestions that I am really happy I listened to. Highly recommend.

I had such a great experience for my wedding hair consultation. Giulia was quick to answer any of my questions, and was clear on setting expectations prior to my appointment. In addition, I felt so at ease during my appointment with Madeline. She took the proper time to look at photos or discuss any preferences I had before getting started on my hairstyle. The result looked fabulous and exceeded my expectations!
I have no concerns going into my big day, knowing that Blo Bar is taking care of my hair!

Haven't been to Blo in years, and my recent service was as amazing as it was years ago - love the consistency! Sam was wonderful, friendly and skilled - my service was wash and dry, curling hair, adding extensions than styling for final, cohesive look. Loved my look and will be back to see Sam soon!

I have been at the 14 th street location several times and the service was good. Recently went and had a stylist unable to blow dry hair with the styling i had asked for. I hope the manager spends a day here and can see the stylists who dont have a repeat customer business to style and how awful they are both in technique and attitude.

I used to love Blo. I used them for every special occasion. However, I recently booked an appointment at 6: 40am before the location was open and then realized I needed to cancel and called them at 7: 45am and left a voicemail to cancel. Further, when I received a text message in response to my phone call, I selected “cancel” and the automated system told me I did not have any bookings. When I received an email saying I had no showed, I called to tell them that I had attempted to cancel and had been notified that I had no bookings. The person I spoke to was very rude and was completely unwilling to help despite the fact that I am a regular customer. I will be disputing the charge with my credit card and never using Blo again.

I did my bridal hair and makeup trial and day-of here and it was so well done and long lasting! No amount of dancing and moving around taking out the hair or makeup but yet both looked so soft and natural!

I’ve been here multiple times, and usually it’s a nice experience with great stylists who have amazing technique and energy, so so chose to come here to get my hair done before an important photo shoot. Unfortunately, today I was unfortunate enough to get a stylist who gave me the worst hair of my life. I clearly informed her what I was looking for at the beginning, and the whole time she worked very hard but ended up doing exactly the opposite of what I meant. After she was already overtime, her colleague came to help, and she still wasn’t really listening to me. The 2 sides were uneven at that point, and I wanted the right side to look like the left. She then proceeded to waste even more time by continuing to work on the left. By the end, I basically left with half done hair because I was running late.

My first time here & these wonderful ladies made me feel and look like a million bucks! I’m so grateful to you-

I LOVE this spot. Karly, Helen, Chancy are my faves but everyone is great. The environment is fun, cozy, warm. It feels like the best treat for me and to give as a gift. The experience is so relaxing and healing and then you leave there with amazing hair! Highly recommend

Chancey did my make up glam for my birthday. I love her talent, her enthusiasm, and her sense of humor. She made my face look fresh, glow, but not heavy or cakey at all. Barely any touch ups throughout the night! I highly recommend Chancey!

Been a couple times and my hair has always turned out amazing. Note that the Cancellation Policy you get in the confirmation email when you book is from Corporate and not relevant to this location.

I have gone to blo south Granville many times and had my makeup done by Chancey, she kills it every time! She’s done my makeup for both of my maternity shoots, baby showers, etc and I have never been disappointed. My makeup always lasts so long after. I would recommend her to anyone and I have to many of my friends. Now I have to make sure I book her first before they do!

They used to be great but the last two times was not the greatest even after requesting to be with a senior tech the last time. The curls and the blow out style has been uneven. Some hair pieces are flat n some are curled but not even good pieces. When I complained the first time that the hair was totally uneven and even sent photos of it being flat, they offered to do a hair treatment for the next visit. I decided to try them again as I’ve had great results the other times I’ve been in and understand sometimes it happens. I booked the next visit on my birthday However during second visit, I wasn’t offered the treatment as promised (she said a note would be put into my file), the hair honestly looked ok but when I got home n took a closer look it was still uneven.

Horrible experience. Took so long I was almost late to my friend's wedding ceremony, my stylist was rude and hostile, and my hair was damaged. Never again.
