Very bad experience. As per there website office will be open on Christmas but it was closed. We have wasted our 1 hour. They should update working hours accordingly. Second issue is there working shift timing. They should start working at 8 am as per there schedule but all employees came after 8 and they called first person near about 8.30. Everyone was waiting on the stairs. That's so unprofessional that no one cares about about that how many people are waiting in the lines.

Save yourself $12 by taking a copy of below two documents:
1) Proof of current Address-self attested
2) Status in Canada (self-attested Copy) PR-copy & Landing
paper/ Work permit/Study permit/Visitor permit

OR else they will charge $6 per photocopy (black & white) without even asking you once. Highly unprofessional typical Indian mindset they have.

I tried to book online but all slots were unavailable for whole month, I can’t understand what reason, their website had some glitches?
So I have to go walk in. The office have enough sitting space but security did not allow people in lane outside the main entrance to sit in. Instead of leaving all people outside they can give a token to applicants and follow first come first served.
However staff inside office was efficient, working with good pace.

I had a very bad exp with bls.i will suggest dont relay on them after submitting application we had to remind them to start and update the status. I submitted my pcc by postal and it has been more than three weeks when i call them today they say it still in their mail room and didn’t start the process ……

I had an amazing experience at the BLS visa office in Surrey. Kiman was very efficient, helpful and kind. She processed everything so quickly-Her smile was so genuine- she made me feel good.
I had a lovely photo taken -the photographer was lovely.
Special thanks to your security guard outside who helped me a lot and to Manita-operations manager who gave me special authority to get my visa. She understood my position as a nurse to escort a patient back to India!

We had a good experience at BLS services. The staff was very helpful, patient, friendly and well spoken.

Service: Passport renewal for minor without any changes

Help provided: Went for Tatkal, the Surry center does not support the same. They gave us a token number and suggested we fill the application for normal processing while waiting.

Speed: The staff was fast and very patient.

We were worried after going over other reviews. We had a smooth experience with the security, at the reception and the final counter.

I sent a postal application for renewing my passport and was not able to check my application status online. After repeated efforts I was finally able to get hold of someone over the phone today and the representative told me that my application is missing some information and that they are going to send back my application.
Its been approximately 3 weeks I have not got my application back. On asking when will I get it back, I was told she had no idea about the date (but it will be sent between 3 and 5 pm)
I have to fly out for a medical emergency in January but have no idea when my application will be sent back to me. Please improve your services

I received a very good service at this location recently when I had visited to apply for my OCI, have been to this office a few times in the past and their customer service is very exceptional, I never had a bad experience despite many reviewers leaving negative reviews. Every time I had to submit my application I felt the staff very accommodating and responsive whenever I had any questions and had the chance to resubmit my application in case of minor corrections the same day without having to book another in person appointment. Thank you all representatives at BLS Surrey!

BLS International Surrey Office, Even though I had to make a few trips to this office to clarify the process for an OCI application but it was all worth it in the end. The clerk who sits in the front is super helpful as well as the girl with the name Preeti Verma who was also professional and very helpful in answering all my questions and processing my OCI application. Sure, the wait here can be long even if you have an appointment but if you have all your ducks in a row and all your documents as per their requirements, then there should not be any issues. Preeti was calm and collective, knowledgeable and extremely pleasant to deal with. I would also like to put in a good word for the security guard who works tirelessly to give as much as information to people that show up with no appointments. He is going above and beyond and I hope the security company recognizes this. I believe his name is (Prajwal) - Keep up the good work

Myself Ravinder, I submitted my and my family OCI application today at Surrey location. My recent and past experience while surrender of passport was amazing. Staff is very polite and supporting and very professional as well. My application was today is submitted by
Ms. Ramneek Kaur, she is very polite and very cooperative, including the receptionist. Ramneek answered all queries very well and asked me to re- upload some document and send email which i did after reaching home. She replied back once received. So overall 10 out of 10. Really appreciate for great service. Keep it up!

1 star for lack of empathy or sympathy toward the seniors or kids. Everyone has been waiting/standing outside (cold/rainy weather) for 1-2 hrs for a token (no online token) for submitting a paperwork. As of all, it is just a courier company takes paperwork to consulate. And Consulate never involve in any of this? Pretty sure the employee’s parents or kids never had to be in these line up early morning!

I want to give a 0 but unfortunately that's not an option.writing this review to bring to everyone's notice the way the applicants are treated at BLS location so that others don't face similar issues

After waiting a month-long for an appointment I went to BLS Surrey, today to surrender my passport. I had gone through the checklist and documents multiple times as I was told by others that reps there look for a way to reject applications and not to help.

I reached the front counter after 1.5 hrs of waiting even though I had an appointment and to my surprise some walk-ins were allowed at first.

When I submitted my application, the lady at the counter did not accept it as both in my passport surrender and OCI l have written I am married (which I am).

I asked her why and she said because in the Indian passport the wife's name is blank. I said I know and I have a copy of the marriage certificate which I can submit along with the application and let the government of India decide on it. To my surprise she said no and asked me to fill in a fresh application as "single".

I asked her "Are you asking me to lie on my application? " when I have to sign it taking the responsibility that the information that I am providing is true.and she said that's the way to do it

I tried to argue with her that it sounded ridiculous that I am submitting two applications, one says I am single and the other says I am married, but it seems that logic is not even a distant relative.

I even asked her to submit my application and I was willing to take the risk if it gets rejected by GOI but she didn't allow me to do so. I asked her to call CGI Vancouver and clarify but she did not, instead she gave me an email with a smirk on her face and asked to get approval.

I didn't want to put false information on my application so I did not submit it.

While OCI checklist states that "If spouse name is not entered in the respective partner’s Indian passports, please provide a copy of marriage certificate" there is nothing written on passport surrender application and unprofessional reps are making a mockery by stalling people because of petty reasons.so beware when you walk in through that doors that they might ask you to provide false info on your form and if you don't concur they will reject your application.

The reps behave like they are IAS working for GOI, while they lack basic sense of logic and reasoning.

They forget that they are just the middleman and their responsibility is to take documents on behalf of GOI do a basic sanity check and let GOI make decision, but they think as they are no less than external affair minister.

I am downgrading the review to just one star (from an earlier 3). The reason is that it is impossible to get through to someone on the phone or even after filling an online contact form. BLS's appointment scheduling tool is appalling. Even after trying several times as per the guidelines i am not yet able to book a slot. I am not sure WHY IS THE INDIAN FOREIGN MISSION NOT LOOKING INTO THIS PATHETIC SERVICE PROVIDER AND REPLACING IT WITH SOMETHING THAT IS MORE SERVICE ORIENTED!

The service once inside is very good. They are very helpful and answered all questions with utmost clarity. The place is clean and organized. The staff is all women and quite friendly. If you have missed any photocopy of document they will take care of it for you.

Only three thing one needs to be aware of:
- debit card or cash only (highly suggest carrying cash)
- atleast 2 extra photos (just in case)
- queue up super early, place opens at 8am. Make sure you are in the queue by 7am (only if you have NOT booked an appointment) — main reason it’s 4 stars and not 5 stars

Corrupt. Disgusting. Horrible. Terrible. Ridiculous.
This is what BLS stands for, in terms of service standards.

Applied for a visa to get medical treatment. Was told to submit an important document. Mailed it immediately. More than 3 weeks holding my Canadian passport. Application status remains unchanged. Leave has started, going to be a waste of time. Air tickets purchased already, tickets will NOT be refunded. Sent several emails, all unanswered.

I would be happy to see BLS out of business.
The service standards are nothing but cancerous per se.

It is no wonder that corruption is paramount in India.
BLS perfectly exemplified this notion when delivering services.

A worse experience i have ever had with them. I submitted the pcc application and there was a document missing. I have been calling from 2 months and everything they told “it will take 72 hours”. I have already sent them the missing document on their both email but still they are saying that “it will take 72 hours”.

For one and half month my status for pcc was keep saying ready for collection. I have called them more than 10 times and they were keep saying they will update it within 48 hours nothing changed even for once. I travelled so far just to receive it from their office and they said that I gave them wrong phone number and email. It was completely wrong as I have the photos of my form and everything I have entered was correct. No greeting for the customers. This whole PCC thing was supposed to-be costing me 70 dollars max and ended up costing 200 dollars including my time to travel.haven’t had such experience after being in canada for two years. Really disappointed.

Went at 6 AM for passport renewal. Only 15 people were ahead of me in the queue. The center opened at 8 AM and we were immediately a given token and after that the experience was pretty good. I was inside the center for document verification at around 8: 30 and finished my appointment by 9: 15. For any documentation error they allow people to go out, resubmit and get a new printout without having to stand in the queue again. I noticed many people had to go out to get a 2’ in x 2 in pic. Also note that they accept debit card or cash. All the staffs I met are very courteous and cooperative! Overall it was a pleasant experience!

The last experience I have in office is not good. The person at the front need to be little more trained. But when I past front counter everything go so smoothly. Lady at counter 1 help me a lot help me patiently even I have badly organised file. Just plz focus to trained more person at reception. H 3 stars because the problem I faced last two time and because of helpline number which is almost impossible to reach.

(Since yesterday I thought that USA immigration officers are rudest but that crown now goes to bls staff. They are rudest I ever encountered. I used to heard that nobody ever get information in one piece from bls and that also come as true to me. Same thing happing with their phone line. I can understand they can be super busy and they are trying their best to reach everyone but I wait in line 4 times approx half hours and then some body pick my call and I only get chance to say hi and hear greeting from other side afterwards every time they disconnect my line. When first time this happen I thought it might be a technical problem but this happens 4 times in row.)

We submitted an application for passport renewal on feb 12,2021. At the time all quality check was done at the counter, all documents were well submitted.however, upon tracking later we were notified that the application was missing the IRB letter on feb 19' 2021. The letter was already provided, yet there is no update on the application since feb 19.

Latest review- Mar 2021. This time I went for entry visa for me and my baby, as visitor visa was closed at the moment. I didnt know I need a number from security guard. I waited in line for 20 mins before getting a number (my mistake). I went back because wait was longer and I live nearby anyways. When I came back it was my turn. Receptionist took “unwanted documents” out of my application which as per document checklist were required. I didn’t notice in my application I put wrong passport number. She advised me if I can come back before 2 with new application, I can submit it. It was already 1: 10 but I managed to come back and submitted my application. Total process took only 5 days from submission to delivery.

After reading the reviews I was scared to get their services to renew passport, but when I went there it was not that awful. My all documents were good and I submitted, the official told me it can take 4-6 weeks but now a days many people are getting their passports in 10 days. I was SURPRISED I submitted my file on may 2nd and got my passport on may 10th.

Don't go with the Postal Service. There is no way to contact them to get an update on your application. Submitted applications since Nov 16,2020. Upon asking resent new application forms but no update at all.the tracking shows my documents are delivered to a long back but there is no updates on my application. I am trying to track my application on their website but that also shows no record found. Sent bunch of emails but no reply at all.

I am trying to connect on their contact number but none of there contact numbers are in service. I don't think so they pay telephone bill at all. I tried all zones phone number of Canada but same message. Not in service. I raised the support ticket as well but there is no update on that.

We really need our new passports back. I was not expecting this kind of worst service.

I hope BLS will treat my feedback as important and try to improve their service in terms of Postal application at-least applicant should be able to connect with BLS over phone, support system or email to get an update about application.

I’ve visited BLS on several occasions to obtain Indian visa services. BLS made a mistake in processing my application and I was quickly contacted by Employee Sonia who learned of the mistake and wanted to rectify the situation immediately. Sonia was a great help and ensured that my new application was processed immediately as it was urgent. Furthermore, she continued to follow up to ensure that I received the refund for the initial application. BLS needs to hire more employees like Sonia who genuinely care about clients.

Answers calls, helpful but no one has update on my application. It is an emergency I need to visit India. My son needs a Indian entry visa which embassy has already considered and requested to make application through BLS.passport received by BLS on tuesday 15th and they are not sure it has been sent to embassy or not. I was given the supervisors email whom I informed the scenario and requested to send the passport. He is not bothered to reply, may be busy I can understand but there should be an update in file since today is Saturday. I called on Thursday Friday and again today hearing the same thing there is no update, processing centre is closed we cannot call them we are in call centre. Well, I understand but what happened on Thursday and Friday I believe you could have contacted them.
Please understand the urgency, and atleast provide information or updates on the file so it helps us to know what is going on and we can plan accordingly. Appreciate you all working during the pandemic but does not give you the liberty to work without any information and sound so casual.the supervisor was on floor today and didnot take the call as he will say the same thing, then I believe you guys dont need a supervisor who will have the same answer as associates. Do not take any names at this times, hope you understand the urgency and help in this matter.waiting for a call back on monday as informed by them.

Worst service on this planet. I had to come here 6 times to get a simple OCI renewal done. First time, they didn't recognize my appointment. Second time, they said I filled out the wrong form which I was told to fill by their employee. Third time they said I needed my parents OCI even though there it doesn't say that any where in their website or forms. The fourth time they said I need to upload my OCI online even though there were no instructions online or the last time I asked them to tell me if I was missing anything.

The phone line is out of service, the email address is also out of service so you can't ask questions unless you drive all the way here. By far, the worst service you can find.

I don’t know if this is an issue for everyone or just me. I have been trying to call BLS for 3 days right around 3-4pm. Each time the call just repeats this lady’s voicemail and then eventually just ends the call and hangs up. I have no way of contacting them and I need to contact them to make an application. I haven’t just tried the Surrey location but even the Vancouver location does this. HELP

Don't go with the Postal Service. There is no way to contact them to get an update on your application.

I have submitted my Passport renewal application through Postal for surrey location and the tracking shows my documents are delivered to a long back but there is no updates on my application. I don't know when they will start to process my application. I didn't receive any email or notification from them and even if I am trying to track my application on their website but that also shows no record found.

I am trying to connect on their contact number but it just say stay online and after wasting 10 mins the call disconnect automatically. I raised the support ticket as well but there is no update on that.

If you would go with the walking application with appointment I think you will get the application reference number at the same time so you can at-least track your application but for postal I don't know how long they will take to start with your application and the worst part is that you will not get any update about it.

I hope BLS will treat my feedback as important and try to improve their service in terms of Postal application at-least applicant should be able to connect with BLS over phone, support system or email to get an update about application.

- Tried calling, online tracking, embassy tracking: shows no record.
- JAN 12,2021Decided to visit personally took off from work (lost a pay day)
- Front staff listen me, searched my application through computer cannot track.
- Details handed over to someone else. She looked for another 20 minutes.

- Came with my application, We will process it today
: Reason: why it was not processed?
- Response: we have full buckets of applications, we were thinking to do it today.we are over loaded with applications.she promised it will be in processing JAN 13,2021.

I'll keep posting

- I don't care bucket of other applicants, I care for my application. 2 person serving 500 a day.
PlEASE WAlK IN, DON't go with postal service,
otherwise your application will be in the bucket sorry over loaded bucket

BLS MIGHT THINK TO process if they FEEL LIKE.

Edit: The ladies at this place are so nice and kind and speak so gently, first I was mad that they didn't pick up calls and I was in a hurry but if you go to the office then you will see how busy they are. The Costumers are very aggressive towards these ladies and don't listen, I feel bad for them. To me and my family they helped us so much and are so sweet. Most people that go there haven't filled there paper right and get mad at the ladies, so before going in, double check your papers and check the checklist on the website.

I have put my wife's passport renewal 2.5 motnhs ago. When I track: status says submission form submitted nothing else. Try to reach them every single day phone is not available.sent an email and even put the written paper if they need anything they can email or call me. My travel date is soon. Attaching the proof of calls of everyday.

Very bad service. They don't pick up the phone and also they don't update information on their website regularly eg now (Dec. 5,2020 onwards) they open only Mon-Fri but their site says they open on Saturday. They should update the information on their site.
