The cookies here are fantastic. BUT! On 2 separate but consecutive visits, There was a hair in the cookie.

The first time, I see it as a mistake. But for a SECOND time, it's a problem. It is disgusting and I will not be coming here again.

I asked if it’d be possible to get more ice today (iced americano) as there was barely any in my drink which is fine, but the attitude of the barista was horrible.she also used her bare hands to put in ice after failing with the scooper lol.didn’t even want to bother arguing as I didn’t want to waste my time. No standard of procedure for cleanliness or hygiene I guess:/ Please look into the girl with earbuds in the drink line today

Full size ranger cookies were awesome. Got a dozen of the tiny assorted cookies (smaller version of the big ones) - they were rock hard, no one at the BBQ could get their teeth into them. My guess is the bigger ones a better option as the small ones were way too overcooked?

Yummy, they have custom bagels, coffee is good, cookies are delish and freshly baked. Wish they had more locations.

Blue chip has been a staple in UBC for decades. Now moved to the Nest and with its own quick to go service side. Cookies and other pastry items are great, however the coffee is lacking.

The cookies are famous, but don't sleep on the sandwiches. They're loaded with meat and veg, so I don't feel as guilty as if I were eating straight up fast food. The employees are also mostly students so it's fun to say hi to friends and classmates working there!

The blueberry muffin and tomato foccaccia is my go-to! The muffin isn't too sweet and the focaccia is tasty heated but very salty. The matcha latte is decent and it's better than Starbucks. However, it does have more matcha but not enough and is a little too sweet.
Do NOT get the blueberry scone, it was hard and one of the worst scones I had.

Overall, decent cafe

Best cookies on the UBC campus. Coffee is good, though can be a bit strong. Drip coffee has been lukewarm a rare couple of times, so I usually get an Americano. Bagels are good as well. The wait times can be long during busy hours, but their express counter outside the Nest is quick if you're just grabbing a coffee on the way to class. Limited seating in their area, but plenty in the Nest and surrounding buildings.

The employees are friendly and the options are good, but the coffee prices and non-dairy surcharges are exorbitant—especially for a café and a building ‘designed, built for and run by students’. Asking $6 for a cappuccino with climate-friendly oat milk, only to have the nerve to then request a tip, is utterly absurd. Shouldn’t the AMS be trying to make student life more affordable and sustainable?

This review is solely for the cookies! More than 15 years ago, I found the best cookies in Vancouver from Blue Chip Cafe in the old SUB building. My favorite is the Marbelous cookie. Back then the cookie was huge and chunky (and cheap). They are delicious especially when they’re still warm.

Flash forward to my recent visit to the campus. I was so happy that they still keep Marbelous cookie on their short menu. The cookie menu seems to be slimmed down. Being nostalgic, I ordered 6 of them so I could enjoy it at home too. The cookie seemed to be slightly thinner but the taste was still the same!

- Marbelous cookie: very decadent chocolaty cookie but the white chocolate center gave a sweetness to the cookie. The cookie was slightly crispy on the outside but chewy on the inside
- Smarties: my kid’s fave because it had lots of smarties pieces. The cookie was chewy. It was a bit too sweet for me.

Often pretty busy but the coffee is pretty good. A little on the pricey side but everything is expensive on this campus.

Located in the Nest, very convenient for students to grab a baked good and hot drink in between classes. The lines can get pretty long, but they move pretty quickly in my experience. I love their cookies!

On my journey to find the best cappuccino on UBC I had to give this place Top 2.

The coffee was very good, they maneged to keep it a cappuccino despite the large size.

But the smoked salmon bagel was on another level, definitely something to try out!

I used to love stopping by for a coffee and cookie when attending UBC! Glad the cafe is still popular on campus. Picked up a few cookies (Chunky, Vegan, and of course the Marbelous). The Marbelous was as decadent as I remember, definitely not the healthiest option though! Was a bit disappointed as I didn't see the vegan and gluten free Oatmeal Coconut Cookie available, as advertised on their menu on the AMS website. I will say that it would've been nice if they separately bagged the cookies, or started offering recyclable/compostable boxes for larger orders. I ordered 4 cookies and the 3 chocolate-based cookies were snugly bagged together; the white chocolate top on the Marbelous cookies came out messy and ended up mixed with the Chunky cookie.

Best chocolate chip cookies in town Will make special trips to campus for this treat. Friendly and polite student staff.

I went in to buy a ham and cheese croissant and was stunned when after eating half the sandwich I found a dead fly inside the mayo before I took my next bite. Greatly disappointed as this is a popular on campus food place.

First of all, as a daily customer such as myself, I think deserve some sort of customer loyalty gift card or something haha

I remember I used to order a large cup of Chai/Earl Grey tea and a Trial Mix Muffin combo everyday for several months.the combo is cheap, conveniently on the way to class, quickly delivered and most importantly, a nice substitute for coffee.

This summer, I’ve switched to loving their Matcha latte and Ham & Swiss. Despite being a more pricey option, I’d definitely recommend these two!

In terms of customer service, everyone is generally nice and quick. They did get my order for Matcha latte wrong once, so the latte I got ended up in the fridge instead because, sadly, I’m not quite a coffee person…

All in all though, I love the place. My only wish is for them to fix the sockets underneath the desks… most of them are loose and useless…

Overall overpriced and too sweet. Long line up during lunch. Workers not happy. Give you one extra star for the vegan banana bread.

This is a nice little coffee shop on campus. Service is pretty fast and the coffee is good. I always get a mocha and they add whipped cream on top for free If you ask for it:) I heard this place is famous for their cookies but I didn't find them that great.

Tasty cookies, and good reusable cup usage system - you give them a $2 deposit, they give you a cup to use, and when you return the cup, you get your $2 back.

The only thing: I didn't see any sleeves and the cup was so hot.

This barista, Sahil, knows his coffee.he makes it with passion and serves it with a smile that makes your day.

There are so many better options on campus for coffee. Loafe right next door has better coffee and baked goods in my opinion.

I visit Blue Chip almost daily! It is well known for its cookies and its bagels that are always piled high with their various cream cheeses. I believe that they make one of the best Chai Lattes in Vancouver.

Decent coffee. And bagels are good. Some bagel preppers understand more than others what an appropriate east coast schmear is though.

On a good day, Blue Chip serves good coffee and good cookies. However, every once in a while, either the coffee or the cookies end up tasting extremely burnt. Even with the consistency issues, it's one of my favourite places for sweets at UBC

I've tried quite a few items here, the bagels are okay. The highlight of the Cafe are the cookies, all of them are great with a reasonable price and big enough to be satisfying. My personal favourite is the Marbelous cookie it's a chocolate cookie with a slab of white chocolate. They also have a vegan option the vegan fruit and nut cookie. Getting a warm cookie is the highlight of my day.

Amazing cookies! Really good beverages as well, they also have a moderate selection sandwiches and bagels. People working there are usually reasonably quick and friendly.

Extremely disappointed to say that the quality of their London Fog has drastically decreased ever since a new team of baristas got hired. When I first went to this cafe when it's name was still Uppercase, the London Fog was amazing -just the right amount of sweetness and the exact ratio of milk. However, this past year I've noticed that it's always the luck of the draw if I get a perfect tasting London Fog. Today my whole drink was watered down with milk, I could not taste the tea or the vanilla at all. Maybe it's worth training the baristas a little better to keep the same quality drinks each time?

Delicious food and amazing workers. I came in very tired and when the cashier handed me my change, I thought I owed her more money. The lovely cashier didn't mind my scatterbrain at all.

Hope I'm referring to the right place after the name changes - jokes aside a solid place for my morning coffee with a good variety of things to eat for the mildly starved student

I usually come here in the morning, and get breakfast on Fridays. Given I am a broke student (actually) I have change so I don’t use my card. I did have a lot of change for my purchase, and the man that helped me was more then helpful and understanding. Then, this women comes and is very rude about the fact that I have change.there were only 2 people in line and 2 people working. She was running around in the background. I thought she could have been more polite and not so rude about the fact that I have to pay in change.this turned me off the idea of going there as all I have sometimes is change.this could have been handled in a much better way. Then again, I could just be having a weird morning, but nevertheless, did not need to treated that rudely.:)

Mmmm the cookies are absolutely delicious! They have three kinds - macadamia nuts, chocolate chip, and marbelous cookies. I got a chance to try the chocolate chip and it's almost like a lava cake where the middle of the cookie is partially melted. It does quiet a little sweet towards the end, but overall very good cookies. I ordered a latte with it and it was a perfect match!
