One of the worst banks I’ve ever had the displeasure of using. Wait times are unusually and consistently long. I get asked what I’m using my money for. They hire security because of how sketchy their users are. Only 1 location in Vernon… will certainly be changing banks.

Loooooooong wait times. 1 teller assisting customers. Another overseeing, maybe training. You'd think for a place that literally makes money on our money they'd have a few tellers on at key times. Not to mention the average reviews definitely have merit with the 1-2 star average. Very glad this isn't my main bank!

Convinced that this is the worst bank in Vernon. Very bad management, homies everywhere, constantly have to watch you back and your car or you might be stabbed or jacked, huge line ups that don’t move. Only reason I’m in the branch is because I can’t get through to talk to anyone on the phone. Pretty sure this bank is run by 3 people alone. Do yourself a favour and don’t bank with BMO Vernon.

They’re strangely rude to their customers. Today their machines were down, and they couldn’t serve anyone. Normally that’s not a big deal, but the woman who cut me off at the front door told me the bad news in a really flat and rude tone. It’s almost like she was annoyed that I expected to do banking at 1pm on a Friday. The least they could do is be pleasant about it, maybe slightly apologetic? I seriously hate visiting this bank in person.

Terrible communications. No acknowledgement on inquiries, unless you leave several voice or email messages.

For example, I sent an email, followed by a phone call a week later. Still no response. A second email had then been sent and finally heard back from that request two weeks after that. A simple, "thanks, we've received your request but are quite busy at the moment, please allow us a week or two to respond" would be great.

Always slow and nearly every bank employee needs another worker to assist them. Obviously this is slowing everything down even more tremendously. Bank elsewhere. I've been using BMO 25+ years, trust me when I say their service is poor.

About 3 weeks ago, I went to the local Vernon branch. I saw a large placard was at the front door. No signs were visible that wearing a mask was mandatory. I walked in and a female employee from behind the counter, in a loud voice, calls out telling me to wear a mask. I put on my mask. I then went back outside to find that mask sign.

Guess where I found it? - hidden behind their large free standing placard. I moved the placard out of the way of that sign and that is when the same loud female employee comes out to grab the placard away from me. I had to tell her in a stern voice, pointing to the sign telling her to never block or hide this sign.

Not once did she apologize for the error. Then she said the inside gate was closed. I again told her it was not, it was open. She was really rude.

I did not interact with any of the other employees, so this comment is only about that one female employee.
