I went there on Thursday august 10th around 2pm. The front desk guy who was wearing OVO, when I asked him to help me with new credit card he sighed. He then told me I have to call the company and that he could not. When I asked him if he could do it as the last baker did it for me, he sighed and said “we are short staffed and etc” giving me excuses of why he can’t do it. It’s so unprofessional to be lied to in first place about what bank can or cannot do, and his constant sighing and attitude of how he doesn’t seem to want to help customers out was just disheartening

This is not directed to this branch in particular but more so for the entire BMO Customer Service section.
Whenever you try to call BMO there is a minimum of 2 - 4 hour wait before you can speak to someone.
Who can sit on hold for 4 hours? This is rediculous and needs to be addressed. No other bank has a wait time of that magnitude. It is insulting that BMO feels that their customers have nothing better to do other than wait on hold to speak to someone about their banking needs. Hire more staff or whatever it is you need to do to be on par with other institutions.

I was on hold 40 minutes! Then they claimed to not hear me. This is why my main financial institution is credit union. Terrible customer service!

Why does Lily Chan work here? She could not put together a mortgage in 17 days (July 1st to July 17th), and decided to get an appraisal scheduled a day before completion on the 16th, this of course is not a enough time. At this point the deal is about to fall though and my client will potentially lose 10K (deposit amount). Everything was so stressful, we had to figure out finance alternatives for my client 3 days before completion. Luckily this time around the real estate deal was relatively a small amount (180K) but if we were talking about a deal in the greater Vancouver area (1 mil on avg) you have the potential to lose 50K when working with Lily Chan. Please do not use her, she is incompetent in her work and like I mentioned you'll be scrambling to find funds hoping not to lose the deposit money (5% of purchase price) on the property.

I have found the service level at this and all other BMO branches to be exceptional. Always seem to be met with a smiling face. I am giving only 4 stars because of my experience with Lily Chan though. I didn’t feel like she explained this well, and also felt rushed through the meeting when we met. I have also dealt with Eldon Frost who is a great financial advisor, and really does the BMO brand credit.

This is the worst BMO location of them all. Lily Chan is by my experience the most incompetent financial banker in the city. Her rude demeanor and less than basic command of the English language will undoubtedly cost you in every direction. Dealing with Lily Chan will plague you with misunderstandings that will cost you a mortgage renewal, interest percentage, even your home. Stay away from this BMO and especially Lily Chan.

The teller asked for my id twice and want to charge me $7.5 for a cheque. I know I’m not a regular customer at this brunch, but the attitude from the teller made me want to stay way from this brunch.

I was extremely disappointed at not only the incompetency of the bank teller, Aaron, to complete my transaction but also at the rudeness and insulting demeanor of the branch manager, Aaron.
I could not believe it when I asked Aaron to speak to his manager and he replied that he was the manager. BMO, I feel like you failed me by not properly training your staff at this location.
To the lady handing out candy at the entrance, you were very nice.
