There is no accountability through this bank. I call the 1-800 number to clear things up and they tell my to call my local branch. Upon calling the local branch, I waited two weeks for a call back that never happened.
Upon going into the bank and standing in line for over an hour even though I was second person in line, they told me that they can't help me and that I am to call the 1-800 number again.
I have been trying to move an Education fund for a year now.
The only reason it's getting a one star is so I can leave a review.

My employees tried to deposit a cheque but got rejected by the teller because the memo part was left blank. Fire the employee for wasting our time.

Arrived to find line-up of 10 customers in front of me. Only 2 tellers working, with 3 more empty work stations. 1 teller was clearly helping a customer with needs requiring a greater amount of time. That left only 1 teller to help the line-up of customers. I believe I could read "Hugh" of his name tag from the line-up. From what I could hear and see, Hugh was very friendly and working on helping customers as fast as he humanly could. I stood in the line for over 20 minutes and 5 people made it through in front of me. I had to leave to pick up my kids from school before I even get to the counter. Where are the supervisors or managers? If there is a long line of customers why are there any empty counter station? Managers need to monitor the branch, if a long line is forming jumping in and help your staff. And managers wonder why staff burn out and customers get frustrated? Its because you are not supporting your workplace! Hire more staff and schedule more staff to help your customers!

This bank is the slowest service of any bmo or bank I’ve been to. There was a fair size line for a teller which is normal for a bank, however usually a manager would jump on to help. Or have the employees who are already there standing around waiting to start work jump on a few minutes early. Once I got to a teller I realized not only were the people they were assisting in the line dealing with complicated banking items but the employees were extremely unfriendly and very slow. I appreciate accuracy and taking your time however taking sips of your drink and chatting with each other while providing a service is not professional. To top it all off the teller who waassisting me gave me the wrong change

It doesn't matter if there's two people in the lineup or 14 people in the lineup, there will only ever be two tellers working. It takes forever to get anything done at this Bank. Terrible customer service.

They used to have a sign that said ‘be patient, we are training new staff’ which ok, partially justified the 40 minute wait in the lineup- at any time of day. They’ve done away with that sign and still no new employees and no new resolve. Try another branch- Don’t waste your time with this one.

Note to bmo- no, I don’t want to email you so that your manager can call and waste any more of my time.

Worst bank i have ever dealt with over the years.absolutely terrible customer service, and if you have to go to the bank you basically have to take the day off work to stand in the line for a few hours.maybe 2 tellers at a time no matter the line and the manager and assist.manager just close their blinds and door when you look that direction.had fraud charges on my account and before i was even able to make an appointment to discuss it (found out what happened myself) i recieved a letter saying theyre closing my accounts.good riddance and thank you for cancelling it for me.refuse to ever deal with this poorly managed and run bank.highly recommend going to a different bank and save your time from this sad excuse of a bank.dont trust your money with this company.not to mention they locked my money and card 6 times within the first month i signed up and i had to "prove my identity" at the branch everytime, once again waiting over 1.5 hours in line.

Update: I sent an email below to the email in the reply to this review, no response. Clearly this bank doesn’t give two hoots about its customers. I have a mortgage with this bank too. Pitiful. Non existent management.

Waited in line for 20 mins until I got to the teller where they told me they didn’t have any more bank drafts. Almost ruined my whole financial transaction and wasted a bunch of my time. The most ridiculous interaction I’ve ever had at a bank. Will probably switch my accounts after this one. Terrible service.

The single absolute worst banking experience I've ever had. Came in to get a new card and get my online banking fixed since neither of them had worked for well over a month. They asked many security questions almost all pertaining to the recent actions like the balance and recent purchases. We tried to answer them but clarified we didnt know because it hadnt been working for so long. They immediately became visibly angry and slammed their pen on the desk. They told us that if this was a phone call they would have already froze the account and they were doing us a favour by letting us fix it. They never asked our standard security questions and already had our ids.

I went to 3 different locations all of them had 2 tellers only and all of them had waiting of 10-15 people. Just to deposit some cash in the account it took an hour! Managers or other workers were wandering around maybe doing some other stuff! You guys need to hire people

Every time I come in the line is massive and slow to move. Today only half the tellers are at their desks despite the line being literally to the exterior doors. Since it's like this every time I come in, it makes banking a huge ordeal for me as I've got to carve out over half an hour of my day. I'm honestly considering moving to a different bank due to these lines.

Raman was extremely unfriendly with me when in the bank today. Didn't say hi, didn't ask how my day was, didn't make any eye contact when I approached. She stared at her computer screen until I spoke.

It's funny because I've actually had the same experience with your customer service manager/representative in the same location. No greeting, incredibly unfriendly and they really seem to not enjoy their work.

Great example to have since you gave a sign in there saying you're in the process of training new employees and wait times will be longer.

I'm a person who won't go to the bank unless I absolutely have to since online is so convenient and every time I do have to go it's a horrendous experience.

The other occasions I've been in for various things it's never ever been pleasant at this branch.

Whether it's applying for a mortgage, new credit card, or even trying to open up a business account best to stay clear. Got my business account started super easy at RBC!

I have been a customer at the Kelowna Dilworth branch for over 2 years. I have been impressed numerous times with BMO. I was offered 500 overdraft about 6 months ago without having to ask. Which has been a tremendous help at times. Due to Covid, a 3 year old son with health issues and being a long hauler myself where I was sick most of the time for 7 months. (I finally broke free 2 months ago). Now at a time when my family needs some financial relief and help with accumulating bills BMO came through yet again. Without having to ask or beg. A line of credit was offered. I am now able to pay off a lot of bills/debt and reduce my monthly bills at a very reasonable rate. I can finally keep my credit cards at a low balance and boost my credit score back up. I intend on using this financial rescue to the best of my ability. I'm able to restructure my debt into manageable monthly bills. So thank you very much BMO. I intend on including BMO in my financial future planning. My family thanks you. Best Regards.

The worse branch I have ever had to work with. Zero customer service. Today a very aggressive man was storming around knocking stuff over and NOT ONE SINGLE EMPLOYEE DID A THING. We was swearing and slamming around. It was so scary. The branch manager closed her door in my face before I even finished saying I had a horrible experience. She didn’t listen to why. Not to mention the line today was over an hour long. To reach a rude teller who couldn’t care to explain a thing clearly or help. Will never go back!

Service gone downhill from what it was during since my account was open there almost 20 years ago. Long line up always been like that but customers service there gotten worst. In experience and less knowledgeable front staff. The investment people don't contact me back when I email them questions or service request. RBC is eager to have my business. I somehow assigned an investment specialist/investor whom I never met

I have used BMO for years and never had a problem at branches in Calgary, Montreal, Vancouver, Edmonton.

The Kelowna branches both Orchard park and Mission have an extremely slow service problem. Also being established with a long positive relationship with the bank since my 1st account in 1986 i have never been treated so poorly.

It is a shame that management refuses to address the poor quality of service they provide.

Now that i received a reply to contact BMO and discuss this further I am less interested and want to keep this public because I am sure others have felt the same. I politely approached a manager and remained respectful just to talk about everything that was bothering me. Like the 4 times i go a month that consumes 5 hours of my time on average do do a 5 min thing or less at the counter. Also to talk about the extremely un-professional teller (the guy with the glasses 2 breathing masks and double layer latex gloves behind the glass guy) who made changes to my account without advising me that in turn caused me issues (that were promptly resolved with a call to another branch) funny enough though the manager chose to respond in an irate manner and refused to help me telling me in could not be fixed. I have a background in Credit management and understand basic banking, he defended the boy in the bubble although they were 1000% wrong. I simply dont get it. Only in Kelowna BMO seems to be inept. Dealing with these branches are causing me a stress I have never seen at any bank ever.

I would like to finish by saying, most of the tellers are amazing knowledgeable people and put a smile on my face. Things are mostly good after my hour wait to get there.

I am sure with proper staffing management they could flow the customers through better and let people get on with their lives. I mean if one is to wait hours on end every month for 20 mins of business put out some drinks and finger sandwiches lol.

However when I wait for an hour and deal with an inept know it all that in turn costs me time and stress and his manager makes the situation worse that costs me more time and time is money. One call to my branch and the issue that was supposed to be impossible to fix turned out to be standard process they just didn't want to admit they were wrong.

Worst experience with mortgage specialist salman khan. Extremely arrogant and rude. I will not recommend him to anyone. Take your money to someone genuine not someone who is only interested in getting his commission.

Bruh this is the worst bank ive ever been too was with td for years no problems this bank holding onto my paycheck for over a month now messing with my money making me run back and forth when i have bills to pay.cant do nothin but tell me to call numbers and come back next week i cant wait for my cheque to clear so i can cancel my bank account and open up somewhere else

Honestly worest bank I have ever been with, stay away from all BMO. Waste of time and money, literally has cost me $100's in time wasting trying to get my busniess account unblocked. How are you going to stay afloat operating like this. 3 hour wait on the phone! Lost my busniess!

What is wrong with canadian banks? They all have terrible reviews clearly they are doing something really wrong! Everyone one in Kelowna is below 2.5 stars hahah my gosh.

Great customer service from some tellers but really long line ups, I don’t want to go out of my way to another branch. But the wait ranges anywhere from 30-45 min.
Some days I just don’t have patience.
I Would like coming here in the future. It’s just feedback I hope you work on the wait times.

Worst customer service phone call from a Pamela in Investments today. I called this branch to set up a meeting with someone in investments to discuss my husband's passing thinking he took out the investment at this branch and I would be treated with an empathetic ear. Pamela was not helpful or showed any compassion whatsoever towards my situation. I tried to explain the situation and she made me feel worse than I already do since he has passed. When you lose someone the last thing you expect from a bank representative is not wanting to help you resolve the situation at hand. Pamela has made my situation worse and I wish I never called the Dilworth branch to seek help. She showed no empathy and obviously didn't want to find solutions for me.

7 teller windows and two tellers. Been in line for half an hour. Same everytime I need to see a teller. Record profits for BMO last year and you don't want to pay more employees to work. I am ready to switch banks. Shame I do alot of my banking with them. The employees are always great to deal with but the waits are horrible.

Long wait. Lots of teller windows, no tellers. Ended up leaving and went to another bank. First time I went to this branch. Most likely will avoid it. I see from alot of responses below, a fair number of people are not happy with this branch and with their interactions. When I got the branch downtown, I never have had an issue. This bank is located across from orchard park facing the east side. Another small strip mall beside this building. Not a bad location.

It's been a struggle to get this branch to help me with my growing business.
They don't take the time to make me feel like a valued customer or to try and help me in anyway, instead they tell me to call the 1-800 number.
Would not recommend this bank for business or personal use.

Very slow & poor service. Staff just stay in back rooms & there are always only 2 tellers which are also not willing to help at all. Everybody has to wait for hrs in line outside because staff doesn't feel urgency of the clients. I did wire transfer. Even after 7 days it is not transferred yet. I went to bank twice they are saying we will find out. It is like they don't know anything. No reply yet. My money is stuck & bank has no answer.

I've banked with BMO close to 25 years, and the last two years (specifically this branch) has been terrible. The customer service is appalling, there is no PR whatsoever, and the only reason I've stayed was because of Allana, the Branch Manager, rectifying previous mistakes. This branch has now misplaced a large sum of my money and nobody has returned my calls regarding any answers. To say I'm fed up, annoyed, disgruntled would be an understatement. I HIGHLY recommend you taking your baking business elsewhere.

Unfortunate experience per my last appointment. I went in to end an automatic transfer that had ran for the last 12 months. I was assured by the associate that the work was complete several times. It was not. I have now been charged several times since then with no one even attempting to reach out. Unpleasant experience all around and would not recommend.

We have been to this branch "three" times for one simple issue. No resolve! Each time we head home and believe our request has been taken care of, we learn that we need to go back in AGAIN.
We're now headed back a FOURTH time. The passive aggressive behaviour that we were shown, didn't help. Neither does having to do through the whole separation thing doesn't help either. Also.the gloves? What bodily fluids are you going to be touching?

Terrible customer service at least from the guy with the golden round glasses and long wait times. This teller seemed completely uninterested in helping me and lied about a a service he said he couldn't do for me when another teller had helped me just a week before with what I needed help with again that day but didn't receive. Instead urging me to go online and figure it out myself when I obviously came in because I needed help in person. So glad I recently switched to TD being fed up with these bad BMO experiences and what seems to be a lack of training and hiring helpful employee's in general. Amazing customer service at every TD branch I've visited so far as opposed to BMO's inconsistency, never going back!

The staff has been really friendly and helpful. However apparently you are not able to have two credit accounts on your online banking at the same time for business accounts. I had to chose between making payments on my credit card by calling in for the balance, or accessing my LOC by going into the branch, as I couldn't have both options online for some unexplained reason. My appointment went over an hour to get this resolved with no success. The financial agent helping me was very apologetic, but when I asked to speak to the bank manager I was told she was busy on a phone call and she would call me back. This was 5 days ago and I never got a call back. Clearly no interest in keeping their clients happy, and unnecessary technical complications is leading me to start looking for new banks. I explained that I was considering moving banks because of this when I asked for the call back, but I guess they don't care.

The staff are friendly but there is absolutely zero sense of urgency. Everything is done at a snail's pace. Just wish there was a smoother process when working with this bank. Other BMO banks never had this issue.

In Jan 16, I was planning to transfer money from my redeemable short term account to another BMO saving account. Although I inform them that I need to get this transfer done as fast as possible, the employee said I have to wait for at least 9 days to get the transfer done. Today I contact with my financial support assistant in Surrey, and she gets it done in one hour. Thank you for wasting my time, I will never come back to this bench.

If i could give 0 stars i would! Worst bank ever. Switched over to BMO b/c i had a credit card from them but now I regret it. I’m totally going to switch back to my other bank.
You wait so long in line and the line up section is the worst. There are couches in the way so that you can’t even form a line. Very slow staff.

To start the location is awful. If this branch is expected to serve 2/3 of Kelowna's BMO customers they couldn't have picked a worse location. Customer service is also poor here. Banking at this branch is motivation enough to leave BMO.

Lineups all the time. Very hard to find anyone at the front desk to get help with a problem even when the sign is up saying so and so is helping at this desk today.
