Great food, service and ambiance! My favourite dish there is definitely the potatoes. I recommend going at night when Trounce Alley is lit up.

Great little place with excellent food and drinks. The Ceviche was amazing with their own unique flair on the dish. The watermelon margaritas were great aswell

Second visit.delicious menu with high quality (and great value) food and cocktails, nice wine list, great staff and ambience. Has that rare combination of these things that make a place exceptional.

Food was great. Wine selection was perfect. We sat at the end of the bar near the espresso machine. Best view in the house. Watching the chefs and the hostess in that tiny space. It was like watching a dance. The hostess never stopped. Taking orders, mixing drinks, serving food, always watching to make sure the guests were taken care of. Excellent experience.

Good food, service & atmosphere. We really enjoyed the flavours of all the small tapas dishes we tried. It is in a great district of downtown Victoria. I would recommend you try this place.

Victoria gives a lot of great opportunities to eat, but Bodega is definitely something must to visit. Great stuff - team of young people that definitely love what they do. We were sitting at the bar and observed them working! We tried all their Cold menu, and it was great, delicious to the point we can not say what was the best. We are looking forward to come back and try there Hot menu. Highly recommended!

Like eating in an upscale European restaurant, with fabulous food, fabulous service, and a relaxed but confident atmosphere.

As a frequent visitor to Spain, I can tell you this is not an authentic tapas bar. I'd doubt the chefs or the menu constructors have ever been to Spain. The Papas bravas (I guess meant to be Patatas Bravas) were pretty poor. I can't understand how it gets such high reviews.
On the plus side, service was good and friendly and the Rioja was excellent.

Cute patio and amazing food, but it was the service that topped it off. Our server was on it and was super friendly, could tell she worked there for awhile cause she knew her stuff.will defiently come back next time we’re in Victoria.

Lovely little restaurant. We ate on the patio and with the overhead heater it was perfectly comfortable. Nice selection of tapas, quickly delivered by a friendly wait staff. Good selection of wine. Definitely recommended!

If I could give it 6 stars I would. Female server (apologies I forgot her name) was unreal. Reminded us of being in Spain again. Simply superb!

Delicious cheese board, great wine, and very cozy atmosphere! Also ordered the Zucchini Carpaccio which was flavorful and refreshing!

I was here for a private wedding event. The menu and beverages created were to die for. I had been here a year before and it was amazing that time too.

I had an absolutely fantastic time at Bodega! I travel a lot and dine by myself frequently. I was able to secure a seat at the bar and was served by Alice. What an outstanding bartender and person! I asked her to recommend both drinks and food and everything was fabulous! I can’t say enough about her service and the food. Thank you for a wonderful evening! I’ll be back and always recommend you.

Good happy hour with nice outdoor seating in an alleyway. Got a great.glass.of Spanish red wine, tortilla.espanola and pepper stuffed with tuna and olives.

First come first serve basis. The long wait was worthwhile! Great atmosphere, tasty appies and very friendly servers with great service. Will visit again for sure.

On my most recent visit, I was tickled that the cocktails are all named after Steely Dan songs.

I mean…. Wow! Phenomenal, friendly service…. And…the…. FOOOOOOOD! Jesus! You can’t go wrong with anything. Seriously. And the drinks were also fantastic. Number one must eat at place in Victoria!

A great place to meet up with some friends. Sure it’s busy and loud and it takes too long to get your food at times but isn’t that what you want in a Bodega?
If it was tranquil and stoic and the food came at you like a fast food joint it wouldn’t hold the same appeal, would it?
Having to shout, just a little, to converse with your friends over the hum of the room while enjoying a staggered meal of probably more plates than you realize and of course washed down with many, many glasses of wine or sangria or whatever hipster cocktail just happens to be cool this week.

Great place to go with friends. Food was something I'd never tried before and I was surprised on how much I enjoyed it server was upbeat and quick

We had a variety of tapas and a few drinks. Loved all the items we tried. Special note to the beef carpaccio which was served with a tart apple salad, which worked beautifully with the rich beef. Picture shows the shishito peppers and roasted carrots. We will be back next time we are in Victoria.

Prawns with garlic chili butter and fresh baguette, check. Potatoes with Serrano ham, soft egg and lemon aioli, check. Glasses of chilled rosé and finished with a bourbon cocktail, perfection. Service was delightful. Check in and plan to stroll the neighbourhood while you wait patiently for a table, or arrive early and stay a while. Either way you win.

I liked the vibe here! Always enjoy a restaurant in a cozy alleyway. Friendly staff, good food, good wine. What’s not to like? !

Visited the other day as a party of three and had a great meal and drinks. All the food was excellent, except the beef carpaccio - it wasn't bad, just average - with favorites being the chicken liver mousse and the octopus salad. Service was friendly and prompt - will return.

Nice environment and Professional staff. We sat in the patio section. I enjoyed my sandwich and my husband loved his soup. The portions are small to share. We had local beers which was fine. If you are in downtown Victoria, it is nice place to spend the evening with your friends
