I dropped into Bold hair Salon on Hornby for a blow dry.
I was very happy with Maryan and the style she gave me!
It took less than an hour. I will definitely be going back!

During my visit for a hair service, I encountered Maryam, her communication was quite unprofessional and unfriendly, making the experience disappointing. As a result, I reconsidered my decision and chose to seek service elsewhere.

I went in for a blow out and was extremely happy! Sally did such a beautiful job on my hair, and it lasted all day! I would highly recommend Bold Hair Design for your next style, wedding, prom, anything! =)

I love Maryam! She always does a really good job, had her do my hair for graduation and my birthday too and I wouldn’t doubt that she’d do a great job. Hair cut & styling was amazing!

Maryam is a great stylist. I had a haircut and she did a great job cutting and styling my hair. She made the whole experience very relaxing. She also gave great advice on hair colouring. Sally gave a very pleasant scalp massage. I will definitely go back there.

Sally has been cutting my hair for approx 3 years now. Sally and I discussed changing my hairstyle on our fist visit. I told her to "go for it". I was and am still very happy with my new hairstyle. Very easy for me to maintain. I can go several months without a cut and it always keeps its shape (short hair above my shoulders) which is the ultimate sign of a great cut. I always get lots of compliments on my cut/style. I can always depend on Sally! P.s. She does a great job on my eyebrows too.

The worst haircut i’ve ever had. I asked to thin my hair out in layers. The way the hairdresser did it was by randomly choosing a few spots at the back of my head and cut them right by the roots, the hair in those spots are literally less than 0.4 inches. Imagine when you are mowing a lawn and you pick a few spots and cut the grass there so short that you can almost see the soil, that’s what the back of my head looks like now. Extremely unprofessional. This is more of a damage than a haircut, i don’t know how long it’s gonna take for those hair to grow back to normal length.

I booked online last minute and was worried I'd be disappointed as I'm always paranoid about visiting new salons. Sally has given me the best hair color I've ever had. I had offensive roots from a pre covid salon visit and she's saved me with a stunningly naturaly looking balalyagr that will save me any maintenance for a long time. Thanks Sally!

Had haircut with Maryam. Absolutely the worst experience I ever had. During hair wash, water kept getting into my ears. She said to me “why are you so sensitive to water. Just water” so I just let water get inside my ear canals.she didn’t do much to change the situation. When I asked she if she put heat protection she said “ you didn’t notice because you talk too much”. The haircut turned out very bad. She didn’t dry hair first. Instead she styling the hair directly when hair was wet. Very very very unpleasant experience. Would not recommend to anyone!

Took me in at the last minute for a color rescue. They did a great job on my color and gave me a great haircut as well. I will keep going there.

I found this place while visiting Vancouver and saw they had appointments available for the next day. I was able to easily book an appointment and the service was great - very professional and friendly. My stylist, Maryam, did an amazing job with my hair and made some great recommendations that I plan to follow through on. I haven't felt this great in years!

Owner sally gave me the worst hair cut I’ve ever received. I request bangs and she took a chunk of hair from back, brought it forward and cut extremely short! It looked like a mullet and Willy wonka look. When I expressed my upset she argued that I should have explained how I wanted the bangs! ‍️ You would think she knew what she was doing? Can’t pay me enough to go back!

Sally was beyond amazing! Great service! She has a Monday special which has the best value that I have found in Vancouver! She gave me a haircut and deep conditioning plus hair style afterwards. The haircut was great and she gave me advise in what would work for my hair best. I have curly hair but very thin and not much of it and I think she did an amazing job in the cut! Would be going back for a trim soon without a doubt.

I got a haircut from Maryam at this salon. I am extremely happy with the result. I showed her a picture of what I had in mind, and she did an amazing job. She was professional, on-time and a pleasure to work with.

I went to this salon about 2 weeks ago to get a mani/pedi and balayage. Sally and Maryam did such an amazing job on both my nails and my hair! Im in love with the way my hair looks now, the colour is exactly what I wanted. They were so attentive to detail and were very kind. This is definitely my new hair salon. When I want my hair done again, this is exactly where i'll be going!

I stumbled upon Bold Hair Design a couple of years ago through a Groupon offering - and ever since then Sally has been my go-to stylist. I fully trust Sally's judgment when it comes to my hair (whether it's a a cut, colour, highlights or root touch ups). She works with my ideas and provides her honest guidance about what will be achieved. She is meticulous and always makes sure I am happy throughout the whole process.

I cannot say enough about Sally and her wonderful skillset. She is an amazing stylist, very professional, and just a sweet person. I would highly recommend Bold Hair Design and Sally.

I went there my friend got me groupon. Mariam did a wonderful work with colour, cut and hair style. I was a bit disappointed with mix up of timing, the girl who changed my time of appointment did not communicate or changed it. For that i felt Mariam had to rush my service as she needed to help other client. But i am glad that she was able to do my hair and did very nicely. I would go back to her for sure.

Sally is simply amazing. She knows how to work with curls and gave me the best cut I've ever had. She's also super kind and sweet! Can't wait to go back:)

Sally made sure my brother got exactly the hairstyle he was going for! Extremely attentive to the client’s wishes and very high level of expertise. Gave great advice and gives off a very approachable energy for anyone who is looking for a niche or specific style. Definitely going to be back soon for my own hair!

I went in for balayage with Lucy and she is amazing. She is so detail oriented and meticulous with both the lightening and the colouring – I love my hair! She is also very sweet and nice to talk to. My hair went from a warm brunette with different layers of colour built up to a smooth light ashy blonde balayage. I did not realize that my hair could look so nice and ashy/cool-toned, especially in one single session!

Sally and Lucy seriously know their stuff when it comes to lightening! I had such a nice experience here, I’m so happy I came in and found this salon
