I purchased a sound barrier for a standby generator from a manufacturer in the United States, it was shipped by ground transport and required Customs clearance. I found BoderBuddy's online application and payment system easy to navigate. They communicated the status of the shipment on a regular basis and work with the carrier once the shipment was cleared. I highly recommend BorderBuddy for any Customs needs you may have.

We've been using BorderBuddy for a while now. They make incoming shipments easy for us to manage for customs and duties. It's always been a smooth process. Friendly people and well organized.

If I could give a no star rating, I would give it. This company just about caused my 9 week puppy not being released when it had come on a nonstop 9 hour flight from Finland to Seattle, Washington, USA because this company failed to file the USA Customs Clearance document in a timely fashion. USA Customs Officer told me they should have filed this document for live animal cargo a minimum 24 hours prior to the flight and they still had not filed it less than 1 hour prior to the flight arriving and the USA Customs office closing for the day. The cargo officer phoned them as did I and let them know they just had 60 minutes to file the Clearance letter before USA Customs closed. Without this clearance letter the puppy would not have been released to me. I was notified by BorderBuddy personnel that this had not been done as "they had been busy all day with staff in meetings" and so this was just missed but they would do it right away. I ended up going to the Customs office with all the paperwork and clearing the puppy myself by begging the Customs Office to remain open for a couple of minutes to process the puppy because I got to their office 1 minute before they closed for the day.

BorderBuddy gave wrong information on (1) where cargo was picked up and (2) where USA Customs office was located and (3) Consignee and Buyer. They stated to me both were located inside the airport and both cargo arrivals and USA Customs offices for cargo are located outside of the SeaTac airport about 10 minutes away from each other. The USA Customs Officer stated to me the Consignee is who must present identification and collect the cargo but given the service I had received from this company that he would allow the puppy to clear in this situation as he could see I had tried my best to make sure all paperwork was correct.

One of their personnel was quite rude every time I spoke with her on the phone.

I do not recommend this company.

BorderBuddy has been a fantastic company to work with. I had the difficult task of trying to import a car that I purchased in the United Sates to Canada. Without the help of BorderBuddy, importing my car would have been nearly impossible. BorderBuddy provided prompt, reliable service and took the time to answer all of my questions. Additionally, the representative I worked with (Brady) went above and beyond to ensure that I had all of the correct documents to ensure that I didn’t run into any unexpected surprises when I arrived at the border. I would not hesitate to reach out to BorderBuddy again for all of my import needs, and I would encourage anyone else in a similar position to do the same. The modest fees that are charged by BorderBuddy are a small price to pay for quality service and complete peace of mind.

Generally speaking, Border Buddy was very helpful. They answered many questions and guided me through the process of exporting / importing a US vehicle into Canada. However, there was some incorrect information shared by them, they charged 30% higher than quoted, and there were mistakes on the exporting documents. All this delayed the process by a week, added an additional trip to the border that was not necessary, and had me waiting at the export office for an additional two hours while they fixed the export documents. In the end, after a couple of requests, they did refund me part of the cost, about the same as the 30% increase from the original quote. The lesson learned: triple check all your documents, and get the broker to fix mistakes immediately.

My dealings with Border Buddy have been increasing of late and in every case the service is amazing! I highly recommend this organization.

This was my first time attempting to purchase a vehicle from the US and drive it in to Canada and Border Buddy was by far the easiest part of the process and made driving the vehicle over the border a breeze. I was even told by the border guard that I made things much easier on myself by using Border Buddy. Price was totally reasonable for the service provide, money well spent!

M always a bit hesitant working with a company I have never heard of, or used before. If you feel the same, I can assure you that Border Buddy is excellent. They guided me through the vehicle import process and my crossing the border was seamless. Be aware that they collect the fees that are paid at the border. So these are paid to Border Buddy and the company then submits and pays the dues required at the border. All you need to do is show up with your paper work and you are through. Very easy. Totally would recommend this service.

She facilitated shipping 30 tractor trailers consisting of nearly 750,000Lbs of tower crane parts from two locations in the USA, (Fontana, CA & Tacoma, WA) to British Columbia, Canada.

Her clear and detailed instructions in the beginning and support throughout the process was exceptional! This was our first time shipping these types of volumes together and I truly feel it could not have been any smoother. Trying to export my vehicle from the USA (I’m a new permanent resident moving to Canada) on my own was nightmarish. BorderBuddy is well worth the money just for the sake of your sanity! They were super fast and efficient and made the process so much easier! I was almost in shock at how much their help relieved the stress of my move!

Did exactly as they said they would. Ordered my hood from California and BorderBuddy got it across the border to Ontario Canada with no effort on my end. Worked perfectly, couldn't be happier.

First time had BorderBuddy as my broker. They are professional and efficient. Even though I was mistakenly charged twice but they sort out the issue promptly thus I would go to them again for the broker service in the future.

We exported two cars from the US to Canada sequentially. The first one went well, the second not at all. The sales person was responsive and largely helpful (the initial response was a cut-and-paste that ignored the specific questions I initially asked. When I responded with confusion, an actual response came.) The first car was processed properly and on time. The second car, however, was a disaster that cost us hundreds of extra dollars for hotels. The long and short of it is that they did NOT submit our paperwork to US Customs when they said they did. And they lied about it. I called Customs to ask for the received date (not the accepted date) of the paperwork of our second vehicle. It was THREE DAYS after Border Buddy claimed to have submitted it. I asked the Customs person the likelihood that they had a system snafu that caused it to be received late. She said, "It's extremely unlikely because of the way the system works. " As a result of this, we had to be in the US an extra five days, get another covid test for crossing the border, and waste literally hundreds of dollars on food and hotels. In addition to this, the logistics person who lied about submitting our paperwork became uncommunicative. She had been good on the first car, but it's like she was MIA on the second one. I don't know what the problem was, but I would never recommend this company and I will certainly never use them again. If I could get my money back from them, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Our company Black Circle Technologies Inc had a shipment of electronic components from Hong Kong. Destined for a customer in Vancouver and we had not done a Canadian customs clearance prior. I give a rating of 3. The reason for this is that it is the first time I have used your services and have no similar experience to use as comparison so used 3 as default. So after a somewhat Rocky start things went well. In the end I was quite satisfied, especially when dealing with the border bureaucratic processes. I have done exports/imports before not using a broker but none went as smoothly as this one. And for that I am very pleased. I will certainly use your services again should the need arise. I will also speak favourably of Border Buddy if ever I'm asked who to use for broker services.

We could not have enuogh good things to say about Brittany at Border Buddy. We managed to screw up exporting our vehicle when we moved to Canada a year ago. We tried to manage the correction ourselves and between COVID and bueraucratic red tape we were in a "catch-22" loop that was keeping us up nights. Great service. I didn't know what I was getting into when ordering from the US. When I received a call from Customs I had no idea what to do. After some research, I contacted Border Buddy and they took care of everything.

I imported a large item into Canada. I choose BoarderBuddy as my broker. At first they were helpful and great but then half way through the shipment they stopped responding to me and left me in the dark.

I will not be using them again for my next import.

I sent them a full invoice, they only apparently billed me on one part. Then after I saw my credit card charged twice I am currently reviewing this with them and will remove once they explain it further. Not transparent. Sneaky billing. Very dissatisfied as I never write these types of reviews.

Good people to deal with. Everything was taken care of. The only complaint was that we had to keep reaching out to them to find out where it stood and didn’t receive our ok until just before we reached the border. Easter weekend may have had something todo with it.

Absolutely disappointed of your service. After not less than thirty (¡30!) emails about a single shipment, I was told I do not need your services, since my shipment is carried by USPS in to Canada. I asked my account to be canceled, but I realized today that you charged me, even though I am not using your service.

Guess what! Two weeks after I asked for it, I haven´t seen my refund. Summarizing, I was charged for a service I was told I did not need, using an account I asked to be cancelled.

Now I am waiting for an answer from a person that says he can not do anything else but wait to hear from another person that maybe have to hear from another one. You are a nightmare.

Imported/exported a Truck from the states to Canada and Border Buddy took care of all the paper work making my stressful trip across the border a seamless experience. 100% would use this service again!

BorderBuddy has been pretty helpful, the paperwork was done well and I have no issue doing my auto export (from US) and import (into Canada). They also give clear instructions on inspection and insurance/registration process.
