Boston Pizza

This place is really bad. I found a hair in the food. They didn't let us dine in cuz we had coupons.

Arrived with group of 10. Place was half full at best. They told us they could not accommodate the group. We said, ok, can we break into 2 groups? They said no at first (because we arrived together?). It was surreal. Eventually they "got it" - we had to say "pretend you never saw us come in, now, pretend 2 different groups of 5 showed up at different times. ". Lol. They still warned us that service would be very slow because they were so busy (again, half full maybe, empty tables everywhere!). So, we left. Yikes.

Best part of this visit was the company I had, lovely generous friends that invited me for dinner. The server was kind, but slow, Restaurant was not in the least bit busy. Nor was it understaffed.
My vegan friend ordered what she could from the few choices, and what she got was very poorly done. My beef dip was dry, and came out cold, probably the worst one I’ve ever had.
Server did not do a quality check so there was no opportunity to reorder. Honestly is this day and age when eating out is a very special treat for most people, one should at expect a decent meal for that price!
Place was practically empty, so I can’t be the only one.

Great lasagna! The bar is much quieter than the dining area, although nonscreens were turned up loud.

So disappointed. Decided to come in for hot pizza since this location will no longer deliver to my address near Quadra / Hillside (?). First, was brought a Pepsi that was flat. Was then brought another from a differnt machine, was a little better. We had an appetizer first and when the server brought out the pizza, it looked s though it had been sitting for a long time. The cheese already had that hardened look to it. Not what you expect or want when you're dining in. I don't think I'll come back and since I can't get delivery, they'll be going without my business in the future. I'm sure that's no big loss for them, but I'm sad to see what used to be one of my favourite restaurants go downhill like that.

I wish they didn’t close the other Boston Pizza because we honestly need 2. If you come to this location be prepared to wait to be seated for like 15 mins. They need to hire more staff and a host! Come on BP!

Edit: two weeks ago I gave this Boston Pizza location a 2 star rating. I am now changing it to 1 star. As stated in my previous review they need to hire more staff adding onto this I went to this BP again tonight and was turned away an hour before close because they only had “1 server and no kitchen staff”. It is almost October many students are now living in Victoria and looking for work… please just hire more staff!

Came at a later hour with a very large group on a weekday, but our server hannah did an excellent job with so many things to handle and everyone loved their time!

My family and I went there for dinner.
We ordered we all got our food, mine was wrong so I sent it back. Food came back wrong again. Now I'm getting upset. I sent it back for a second time. So now everyone is done eating waited an extra 10 mins for my food and nothing. So I asked for my bill cause now we are leaving and it's taking 15 mins atheist for my sandwich to be made. And wasn't very busy iside

I will not be going back there.

You're gonna wait 5-10 minutes before they seat you in a restaurant that is about 1/4-1/3 full

Not good. In pretty much all aspects. Very disjointed and very slow service. Took close to 15 min from the time the first entree was served to to the last person.and the last person's entree was missing their side of mashed potatoes. That came out about 5 min later and were cold and inedible. Didnt go in with high expectations but was still disappointed.

A really nice place to go to, very friendly service and really good food. If you haven't yet you should definitely stop by and check it out!

Nashville chicken - stale bun, wilted brown lettuce, and very overcooked chicken.

My guess is nobody is checking orders before they go out.

Overall, pretty terrible food experience for Boston Pizza.

I will always give a Boston pizza five stars for food because I only go there for the pierogi pizza.

We were truly satisfied with quality and delicious meals. My suggestion would be to try the Barbecue Chicken Pizza that is absolutely fantastic. Staff and way behave is just professional and friendly.

When I brought this up to the "manager" she simply laughed it off and even had the audacity to mock me. We've gone to the Hillside Boston Pizza regularly for the last 20 years and have never seen such rude behaviour. No one apologized or attempted to rectify the situation.

The management of the restaurant is in shambles. Guests were left stranded at the entrance, and the staff were visibly confused.

The food was also extremely disappointing. The quality has notably declined. The pizza was undercooked and soggy.

Do not waste your time coming here!

To say our time was lovely is an understatement and it’s all thanks to our lovely server, Alicia. She went above, beyond, and over the moon to make sure we had a good time. She was extremely accommodating and made us feel so welcome. She kept her cheery attitude even though it was after a long day. Without her we couldn’t have had indulged in bugs and cheese. It was the perfect comfort food after a VERY long day. We will be returning, for the food and the service!

One of the apps came cold and one of the entree as well, server was professional and was quick to replace or reheat items but overall not a great time, would not recommend

I don't like to leave bad reviews (I hardly place reviews at all), but after the two awful experiences I've had at this location, I think it warrants a 1 star review.

Went about 6 months ago, and the service we received was just awful. The host and waitress we had hardly said anything to us, we were sat at a table and forgotten, and it took ages for our waitress to even acknowledge that we were finished. Food was bland, which I get its a chain restaurant, but a little flavour would have been nice.overall felt unwelcome.

Decided to give this location another chance. While the service we received was fast and awesome, the food was absolutely horrid. I had the beef antojitos (which by the way look a LOT larger on the menu than you actually get for $15) and while the ends were warm, the insides were freezing cold. Almost like it was not microwaved all the way. My partner got the spaghetti ($24.) and it was also freezing cold. The kitchen reheated it, and it came out tasting like mush.

Our waitress was super apologetic and took the cold food off our bill, but this location is clearly not what it used to be.

June 20,2023 Update.
I ordered pasta for Pasta Tuesday this week and both meals were served without any meat in them. The chicken, mushroom fettuccine had no chicken and the jambalaya had no shrimp, chicken or sausage.
What I got was one pasta with cream sauce and one pasta with red sauce. I believe there is a new owner at this place and I am now not very happy after going to this place twice.
The two people before me waited more than 40 minutes after arriving when they ordered for pickup and I also had to wait an additional 30 minutes for my pickup order even though I was told to come 30 minutes later and there was very few people in the restaurant.

We use Boston Pizza for the Pasta Tuesdays every second week for years and now that Covid-19 is running the show we are using BP's every week. They have been friendly and the quality is always good - We would like to thank Winter which has been taking care of us every week since February.thanks again

Terrible service. Let the waitress know it was my bday and didn't get the free desert.

I will never go back

Dined in and had a wonderful experience. I tried the new buffalo chicken Mac and cheese and it came out bubbling hot and was really delicious. I really appreciated how many TVs they had with various channels playing - it kept me entertained while dining alone. I’m sure the gigantic TV on one wall of the restaurant is fantastic for viewing popular sports games. Staff were friendly and the service was quick.

We’ve been sitting at our table for at least half an hour, and our food (we ordered just 2 plates of food) hasn’t arrived. The service is awfully slow and when we asked the server how much longer it’d take, she said she had no idea and walked away. Now the same server is arguing with another customer and is threatening to call the cops. The pasta is not fully cooked and there is barely any cheese.

Ordered pizza for co-workers, and for the price, its better to spend half and go to Dominos or pizza hut.
