My cat Mittens, was vomiting since one month every early in the morning. There was hair balls in his vomit. Dr. Nurez Kassam inspected and requested linear foreign body check by X-ray. Observed constipation and hair balls in Mittens' intestines. Treated by laxatives. He is very knowledgeable, frendly and experienced veterinarian doctor, and staff were also very friendly and professional. Thanks to Veterinarian Assistant Evan for very informative advices. Absolutely recommended hospital.
UPDATE AFTER 3 DAYS LATER: Mittens is very happy and treatment is very successful at the third day.

Our usual vet was fully booked for the week so we decided to bring our dog here for a potentially urgent appointment.

The experience compared to our usual vet clinic was extremely poor. The staff really need to work on their communication skills and client service. Also the vet is pretty old school and does not seem to be up to date on compassionate animal care. He man handled our very nervous dog.

I recommend using another clinic in the area.

My cat wasn’t feeling good with crystals and they took him right away. The doctor was so nice and the lady at the front desk was so kind. She answered all my questions and was very patient.

Wasted our time. Rescheduled our appointment and when we showed up they couldn’t accommodate

I took my 8 year old Dachshund here to get these lumps on his underside checked out and the staff and doctors were incredibly caring and informative. They let me know everything that was going on and proceeded to help and treat Loki

He usually gets shy around people but I after I got him back he was quite a bit more sociable around people haha, he's been getting better since:)

This review is long overdue, but I would like to thank the entire staff at Boundary Animal Hospital. A few months ago, they saved the life of our cat, Shylo, when she couldn’t eat or drink for nearly two days and our regular vet couldn’t accommodate us. Upon taking her home from Boundary clinic, she was back to her usual (and feisty!) self. This is our new vet moving forward. Thank you!

Been taking our fur babies here for years, absolutely love the staff and the service. The Dr is extremely accommodating and a very great vet. The staff is super nice and you can tell this is a vet practice that is not just in it for the money. They really take good care of your pets ️

Dr Kassam and crew are fantastic! He genuinely cares about the animals, they are just dollar symbols to him. I have been seeing him with my many fur babies over the past 10 years, and hope he never retires.

We have been taking our cat here for a while. Our cat is not an easy patient, but the staff ensured that he got the same level of care. They saved his life!

Great team working here. Always get prompt responses for bookings of appointments. My poor pup got vaccinated on her first visit, and then had blood taken on the second. But when we went back to drop off a sample she was still eager to go back! So that says something. Dental cleanings are reasonably priced, and they provide transparent quotes up front.

Amazing staff. Very helpful and will explain everything in details. Prices are fair vs the competition (mind that vet service is expensive no matter what in this country). To me this is the best vet on the lower mainland hands down. Thank you to all the staff for your great service.

Got quoted at a different vet in the area $2000 for my dogs operation, went to boundary animal hospital is was $600. Easy to book and good prices.

I have been bringing my cat here for almost three years and have received nothing but amazing service. You can really tell everyone on staff cares about and loves animals! The vet techs are all very nice and friendly, they are always on time, and the Vet always explains everything they are doing and why:) The price is very reasonable and they take such great care of my cat. I am so happy I found this place.

Terrible experience for our cat. We went just for the Rabies shot. Shortly our cat started walking with difficulties, no playing, not eating and drinking. We paid CAD 1300 for 4 hours of hospitalisation and when he got back home it was worse than the first time, floppy, absent, worse and worse day by day. The clinic did not give me a treatment, just recommendation to spend more money for additional xrays. I was lucky to have a friend who is a Romanian Vet doctor, sent him the xray and blood results by email and he advised what to do at home. After 7 terrible days, I managed to help our cat be better, eat and drink water. It was a nightmare.

I brought my dog in for teeth extraction and I was extremely nervous as his old and I was stressed about putting him on anesthesia. I called the hospital and asked a ton of questions. The nurse was very patient, they're assuring, and answered all my questions. They also gave me a rough quote over the phone which I requested. When I called to book the appointment, another nurse picked up, but she was also very friendly and upfront with the costs and things. The day I brought my dog in I was pretty nervous and anxious, however everything went fine. I like how the nurses were very friendly and assuring. They had many staff though, which is good, however if you deal with different stuff they might tell you slightly different things which is what happened to me. It wasn't a huge deal but it would be nice if maybe a main nurse dealt with a client the whole time, that way everything is consistent. I think the doctor was nice, although the costs include a consult, it wasn't really much of a consult because the surgery was already done and the doctor basically said your dog is great. I wasn't able to interact with him too much. Overall I had a great experience here. What I was very very impressed with is that when I first came in they gave me a quote, but when I paid the amount was less than the quote! This means they were honest in their fees, because they could have just charged me the original quote as I had already signed for it. But I guess my dog didn't take as long as they had quoted, so the amount was less when I actually paid. I am very impressed with that!

Dr Kassam has been Kona’s vet for the past 15 years and has been great. He is very detailed with providing us with information on any procedures that we have done and we have always felt that he has taken good care of Kona. The staff are all friendly and helpful.

Walked in for some flea and tick medication for my dogs and the only complaint I had is the staircase leading to the back parking lot. It is severely broken and needs to be repaired ASAP! I can’t imagine taking my dogs up those. The vet seems great though

My experience was great with them. I brought them my sick puppy who suddenly stopped eating, drinking and even wasn’t moving around much. They were able to accommodate him right away despite their very tight schedule. My puppy is feeling great now from the medications the Dr. Prescribed! They were very upfront about prices right and I ended up paying less than what I was quoted. Great people and great place.

Dr. Kassam has always treated our animals with the utmost respect and care, and the team at Boundary could not have been more supportive when we had to say goodbye to our cat last year. Cannot imagine ever working with another clinic or doctor!

Brought my dog billie in for teeth cleaning/extraction and he was taken care of very well. He’s having a speedy recovery thanks to the doctor and staff that treated him.

All of my critters go to see Dr Kassam and his team. They have helped us with with neutering, dental work, skin problems.all with fair and upfront pricing. They have a lot of compassion for their patients.

Took my cat in because of blood in urine. They did not take a urine sample but instead ran other unnecessary tests. The whole experience was unsettling because they were not following covid procedures (no social distancing measures) and they were exaggerating my cat's symptoms.

The lady that was explaining the treatment plans to me was pressuring me to choose the more expensive treatment plan. The overall experience was unsettling and felt like they were taking advantage of my emotions & money. Would not recommend going here.

Not professional.lied to the cause of my pets distress gave wrong reasons to the root of my cats distress.overcharged by hundreds.

I’ve been going to Dr Kassam since 2013 when I was travelling across the border and needed the proper paper work to cross with my papillon. Since then, Villy, has been going to the clinic for everything from nail trimming to emergency surgery. Villy is turning 11 this year and I owe Dr. Kassam and his staff all the credit for my healthy dog. He is excited to see the staff every time we go. Thank you boundary animal hospital!

Dr. Kassam has given outstanding care for our four cats. For the past 20 years his deep compassion and professionalism always gave us great comfort and reassurance.
Boundary Animal Hospital is impeccably clean and tidy from the front office to the treatment rooms in the back.
We lost our last two cats this year one almost 21 years and the other almost 20 years. With guidance from Dr. Kassam we believe we were fortunate enough to have them for so long.
Dr. Kassam will always be our veterinarian as long as we have furry four legged children. If you are looking for a trustworthy veterinarian who believes in quality of life for all animals first, this the veterinarian for you.

They are so good with my dog even after all the times we have been my dog is always so happy to go into the vet because of the great Staff. The doctor is quite personable and treats all the animals like they are family so I know he's going to be well cared for when I need to take him in for any procedure or even just his vaccines
