I’ve got LASIK eye surgery at BoydVision recently, and I’ve had the absolute best experience. They appear to be busy all the time, but each staff member I communicated with remained friendly, focused and attentive. They walked me through everything and made sure that all my questions are cleared up before the procedure. Dr Boyd was also very friendly and professional. The surgery itself is obviously a bit uncomfortable, but I knew I was in good hands, and it was over before I knew it. The recovery was also very fast, and I couldn’t be happier to see without glasses for the first time in nearly 3 decades. Thank you, BoydVision!

Dr Boyd has been my eye specialist since when I was a teenager. Could Weekes ago had Cataract surgery on my left eye. Did it without any discomfort or pain. Finished quickly. Even at doctors office to check if the lens is sitting in correct spot was efficient. Came home still no pain. After 5 days of rest. I was missing out seeing clearly. Color was so vibrant and sharp like I was looking at 480p or lower quality and got 4k quality pictures now. It's bee. Awesome. Waiting to get second eye done. I recommend Dr Boyd. He is busy so have patience when visiting at office.

My eye surgery was very successful, Dr Boyd is very professional. The staff is amazing, they are kind and patient!

Rather disappointed with my experiences with Boyd Vision. In 2005, I had laser surgery on both eyes. ($2000) It lasted a year before I needed to use reading glasses again. In 2015, Dr. Boyd told me that if he knew then what we knows now, he never would have done LASIK for my type of eyes. That was a waste of money. I decided at 60, I would consider a lens exchange. Last week after 2 hours of testing, I was sent on my way with no solutions or suggestions on a future plan. The assistant couldn’t get a good reading as I had dry eyes. Dr. Boyd said that he could send me downtown where they have more accurate equipment. As I didn’t hear from Dr. Boyd’s office, I requested a phone call from Dr. Boyd to discuss my options. His assistant returned the call. I could not understand a word she said as she has a strong accent. She mentioned laser? Wth? I was left feeling very disheartened and frustrated.
I think this office has taken on too many patients and can not give quality care to all. Time to find a new specialist and get a second opinion.

My peripheral iridotomy went well. Dr. Boyd is very skilled with a laser. He also took the time to explain to me why I was needing this eye procedure. Positive experience all around.

Very positive 5-year update below. Original review: I had PRK done by Dr. Boyd on pretty severe astigmatism and myopia. Before booking, I had spoken with other clinics, and only Dr. Boyd made an effort to address all of my questions. In addition to being pretty thrilled with the outcome (OS 20/25, OD 20/20) after one month, I've been consistently impressive with Dr. Boyd's level of care and attentiveness. Staff at the office are all very helpful and friendly.

I would not hesitate to recommend Boyd Vision to everyone I know, and I've been doing just that. For only $2,000, my vision is great and I am happy I made the decision to trust such an excellent eye surgeon.

Also, as an FYI, the website doesn't mention, but Dr. Boyd performs transepithelial PRK (touchless, all lasers), which was a major selling point for me. Recovery wasn't a walk in the park, but for what I hope is decades of good vision it was entirely worth it.

5-year update: I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Boyd to everyone I meet who expresses interest in vision correction surgery. I had a case of severe myopia and astigmatism. Without any exaggeration, I was disabled without my glasses, not being able to see much beyond 4-5 inches in front of me. Getting PRK surgery with Dr. Boyd is one of the best decisions I have ever made for my health, happiness, and wellbeing - and even appearance! A whole new world opened up when I could see without correction.

Given how high my prescription was to start with, we knew that re-treatment was likely going to be needed. In June 2023, I finished re-treatment and have now healed from it. Along the entire journey, Dr. Boyd, Candy, and the entire BoydVision team attentively answered all of my questions, provided me with quality follow-up care, and helped me manage my medical anxiety. The result is that now I can legally drive without glasses - and do amazing things like swim, snorkel, walk in the rain, enjoy the pristine detail of far away signs and scenery, and even wear 3D glasses at the movies. It has been five years of living without the persistent worry of "what if my glasses break or I lose them? What if there is an emergency and I can't see? "

Dr Boyd is a really good one. He is very attentive to your needs. View went from -9 to a perfect 20/20 after the surgery! His team is excellent as well. Would recommend over and over!

I had an amazing experience at BoydVision Centre. From the moment I went in for my initial consult, to the procedure itself, to the follow up appointments, I felt completely taken care of. All the staff helped answer all my questions about the procedure and post op care and I felt in great hands. Plus, everyone remembered my name every time I came back I had LASIK done and my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner - I've worn glasses for 23 years and having freedom from them now is such a game changer.

The staff has poor time management and time schedules. My first experience to get doctor opinion. Appointment 9: 30am and by 10: 30 still waiting. See doctor for less than 5 minutes then schedule to see him in December. OMG! The office is small crowded with lots of patients waiting some are kneeling some are standing there already 10 chairs sitting with patients. This office has old technology equipments. The doctor is tired and not young any more. I will not risk my eyes vision. Hopefully.

I would like to thank Dr. Boyd and his team. The staff are very professional, kind, friendly, organized and above all knowledgeable. They make you feel so at ease.
My Surgery was quick, Dr. Boyd was reassuring during both procedures. The procedure were painless, and quick. Best decision I have ever made. I am very happy with the results.

I can not tell you how pleased I am with the result of my cataract surgery. My vision is better than it has been for a very long time. The procedure was fast and efficient and entirely painless. Dr. Boyd was incredibly professional but also calm and kind. I found that comforting. I would be very pleased to recommend him to my friends and my family.

Rent the office to another partner. Doesn't care how the partner runs the business. The response from the owner proved my comments are right. DOESN'T CARE HOW THE PARTNER RUNS THE BUSINESS.

If you wish to know how Dr. Boyd is truly like in his craft, do yourself a favor and first read up on the negative reviews. His support staff are all pleasant but he and his specialists are very dismissive. I had my vision destroyed worse than how it was prior to the procedure and follow ups can take up to half a year at a time! Now I have to live with frequent headaches, dry eyes, daily eye drop applications, blurry vision, pain and the sensation of having something stuck in my eye forever. I should have gone with my better judgement and forked over the extra cash to see someone else, such as Lasik MD. Don't make the same mistake as I did and be the next victim just to save a bit of money - you only get a pair, so it's worthwhile to pay for higher quality surgery!

Had cataract surgery done by Dr. Boyd about a year ago now and am very pleased with the results. As a pilot I was weary of any surgeries around my vision, but he is the one other physicians use for themselves which says something. Known as being an excellent surgeon, I would recommend him to anyone.

The only reason I agreed to lens replacement surgery was because I had cataracts and therefore needed surgery regardless. I never felt I would agree to have my eyes operated on. I am so glad that I did! For the first time in 58 years I no longer wear glasses. Everything went so smooth. I had both eyes done. No pain AT ALL. The biggest complaint is having to use eye drops for 4 weeks after surgery. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Boyd to anyone. He and his staff were great. Just wish I had this surgery done earlier in life. I wasn't in a rush so I waited for the procedure to be done in the hospital. My son-in-law however had his surgery done in Dr. Boyd's office and he too is just as happy as I am.

Dr. Boyd is an excellent ophthalmologist, caring and effective, we couldn't ask for a better doctor. My Mom needed a cataract surgery on both eyes, so dr. Boyd did a great job. The staff is very frendly, professional and extremely helpful. THANK YOU!
