Great location, many choices to order, the place was too crowded and no staff attending esp the floors were very dirty and tables also as no one to clean those, we had to clear and clean the table and chairs also and sit while lots of rubbish on the floor

We tried the Earl Grey donut, chocolate brownie cheesecake and the Ham and cheese Croissant. Very yummy.would definitely go again.

Not sure if it's a scam. I ordered a strawberry-filled donut and got a totally plain one.

Solid place to get coffee, snacks, quick meal.

One of those rare, unpretentious gems in the West End. Love their coffee and impressive selection of sweet and savoury treats. Plus they're open 24/7!

The pastries and paninis are yummy! So many things to choose from. Only downside is that there is never any room to sit - always super busy

I love breka, the food is so good and also the environment that it has, but specialty the service in this location is not so good, I understand that is busy and can be stressed full, but either that we don't deserve that someone be with bad attitude, yelling you because I couldn't understand. I went to the place 3 times, but everytime same experience, always I left stressed. They have to change that, as a person that work in the customer service too we have to understand that we are not working just for get money, also for give the best experience to the customers.
I wish the service will be as good as the food.

I was excited to visit Breka for the first time, but my experience was a bit disappointing. I struggled to choose what I wanted at the counter, so the employee wasn’t the nicest while waiting for me. I ended up getting the chocolate almond croissant, but it wasn’t great. Maybe it was just me, I’d like to give this place another chance someday.

‘Tis Ok. I mean, it has pastries, paninis and croissants. I ordered the cream-filled chocolate-glazed donut and, well, I always love that type of donut anywhere (gas stations, supermarkets, Tim Hortons, etc.) so I loved it here too. My wife had a chocolate chip and raspberry scone and it was bland, even I didn’t finish it, and I love finishing her leftovers, haha. Americano coffee just mediocre. The breakfast croissant we ordered was like the one from starbucks, and that’s low standard for a fancy bakery. I guess all I loved was the donut because I just love donuts.

Ordered on UberEats, that was perfect! You should try the chocolate & nuts muffin and the Copenhagen!

I had a very disappointing experience at this location. I ordered a ham and cheese Cretzel, tiramisu cake, and tuxedo truffle. The cashier was extremely flustered and she messed up our order and MISSED the tuxedo cake but charged us for it.

Imagine making a 40 minute round trip and realizing that your order was messed up.

Bad customer service.

The floors were also extremely dirty with tons of leaves and dirt.

Everything is on the standard. Just I ordered a strawberry doughnut, but I found I got apple pie when I got home.

My favorite cafe in all of Vancouver! Nothing like their dark chocolate mocha and Belgian cookies.

I really like the baked goods at Breka, but unfortunately, I had a really awful service experience here today, I don't think I've ever been treated so poorly. One of the employee's spent a good 5-10 minutes accusing me of lying and costing her money when I visited the store to replace my dessert after I was given the wrong item. I used to buy food here quite often, but I would never want anyone to experience what I did today. Terrible.

24 hours cafe perfect for studying! So many baked goods to choose from. The green onion cheddar scone and pumpkin cheesecake were very good! Nice selection of teas and coffees.

Coconut Mango Mousse was really great and their coffee was good too. They also have milk substitutes for tea/coffee. A lot of variety for baked goods. All in all excellent café.

Apple fritter is huge and delicious! Americano coffee was good, normally i have sugar in my coffee but this was good without. Breakfast croissant and breakfast cretzul was great. This place was bumping as soon as we stepped in and left. Prepare for a line but it is worth it.

Our dining experience was good.not too crowded and there's outside seating.the staff were nice and the pastries taste delicious.would definitely come back.

Breka has some of the best desserts around. Their cakes, pies, pastries, donuts are the bomb! They have good sandwiches and would be a ideal spot for those working close by for a lunch break. The staff are friendly and the prices are very fair. I prefer my coffee from a established, well-known Canadian franchise and find myself going for coffee often but fortunately Breka is close to the two franchise locations I frequent so I usually get my donuts or pastries from Breka since they're just so much better. If you've never been here I would highly recommend you checking it out and trying some of their totally delicious, yummy treats. They have a heated patio at this location also so you can pretty much enjoy eating or having coffee or tea comfortably on the patio year-round.

Came here with a group of friends late at night to enjoy some rightfully deserved sweet and creamy treats. Everything seems fresh and two drinks were well made.

Pendant notre voyage, c'était notre boulangerie matinale pour le déjeuner. Tout est très bon. Toute la famille a appréciée.

Great vibe, fast and courteous service, delicious pastries and donuts, good coffee, and decent prices when compared to other coffee and pastry shops. Love that you don't have to worry if they're open or not (they're always open!). The chocolate mousse was delicious, and their strawberry filled donut really hit the spot.

Well I can’t ever enjoy a Tim Hortons dough nut ever again after eating here. Absolutely amazing coffee and doughnut. Friendly staff and a warm environment.

Good place for late night studying because the food selection is great plus the workers are the nicest people ever. However, it's ridiculously crowded all the time with no room for social distancing or any type of safety precautions since everyone seems to sit together at a table and there's not much air flow. Also lacks plugs for those who come to do some work or studying.

I like their business. I like what they do over there. But it was the second time i order something through the uber eat application and a part of my order was missing and it wasn't the delivery guy's fault. To me it seems they don't value their customer because after i called them, all they said was, we can not do anything about your problem. So there is no customer service, which means they don't care about the customer complaints. Although you have to pay more for every single item when u orde through the app, you won't get the service u deserve. I was extremely obsessed with Breka, but now i don't trust them any more. And i will never ever be a Breka customer again.

Beautiful setup in the middle of busy Vancouver city. Indoor and outdoor seating, delicious pastries to choose from. We ordered hot chocolate, latte and a caramel macchiato praline crunch cake - yumm!

I bought a gift card from them but it took them very long to load it because their machine was not charged so I had to wait almost 20 minutes to get it done!

I really like this branch because staff are very friendly. They take time to warm your sandwich properly. It's a great location too

We came here on a late windy night. There is a large selection of pastries and they all look very fresh, and the prices were fair too.
I bought some cookies and granola, which all tasted good, and not too sweet.
There is patio seating, but it closes at 11PM. However, there are tables and chairs for public use right outside, a great place to enjoy a cool night and under the beautiful trees with decorative lights.
If you like to hang out with friends or just come here to enjoy a beautiful night, this it the perfect place to be.

Their food and drinks are so good. They’re really good at working with busy crowds and getting everyone in and out as fast as possible. With COVID I was a little stressed trying to navigate and figure out where to stand and where to enter, they could use someone working the door but other than that it’s amazing

Get the chocolate hazelnut donut. Seriously, the chocolate hazelnut donut. A coffee order can take a while.

The WORST experience ever, I wish I could rate this place with 10 negative stars. Today, December 10th at about 7 pm, we had been doing homework at this location, we had purchased coffees, cookies and pastries. My friend had to get some sushi for herself because her health won’t allow her to have much sugar. So this blonde European woman came to us, and extremely aggressive and rude started yelling at us that we weren’t allowed to bring food from outside.
1. We didn’t know (IM SORRY!)
2. Your sign is quite small. (Make sure to replace it for a bigger one).
We had spent money here. All of us, no exceptions. We weren’t just using one of their tables. When o say she was extremely rude and aggressive I mean it.
Girl, customers don’t care if you absolutely hate your job that makes your so unhappy and awful.
My advice, go online and start applying for a new job, but let me tell you, with your nasty attitude you will have a HARD time getting hired.
Then I went and purchased a second latte, which was cold, not even full enough and there was not coffee flavour. I asked them to make me a decent drink, so this brown woman started arguing sign me and soon, yelling at me. What the heck. “Now you’re gonna be difficult with us? ” “This drink is hot””what is wrong with you girl? ”. Oh my god, I had received bad customer service in the past, but this was a complete different level of awfulness. These women have NO IDEA what customer service is.
And you guys, OWNERS AND MANAGEMENT, you have to realize how awful your customers are being treated by your employers, don’t forget to thank us because WE generate YOUR revenue and keep YOUR business going.
Now you have lost 4 customers, and by the way we were treated you will for sure lose many more. GUARANTEED not only by a very upset person, but also by someone who has been a diploma in hospitality management.
So you better train these gals properly, get rid of the ones who aren’t willing to do their job properly and make your business grow. Or increase their job to make them a bit happy and less nasty.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.

I got very disappointed with the service. Usually my friends and I go there for studying;however we will not go there ever again. Today we had a very bad experience. We brought some food from outside and to be honest we didn’t know we weren’t allow to do so and we sorry for that. But one blond European employee came to us aggressively and almost yelling to us whe she saw us with the food. Instead for asking us politely to keep away the food she literally talked to us in a very rude way. Moreover, one of my friends got some coffee and pastries and another employee started to argue with her because my friend didn’t like the drink and she kindly ask for a new one. However the employee started to argue with her and almost yelling too. All of us are extremely disappointed, all the employees don’t know anything about “costumer services”. Instead of feeling comfortable at Breka we felt scolded. For sure we are not gonna go back ever again. Honestly you have to improve your service;otherwise you are gonna loose many costumers very soon.

Sitting is comfortable. The only thing I found annoying is the noise. You cannot hear your Friends' voice.

One of the best coffee places in town. Just a shame there's always a lot of students doing whatever using all the tables, it's hard to get one.

Open all throughout the holidays 24/7, even on christmas day! I love coming here for the chocolate mousse, passionfruit mousse, and german chocolate cake.excellent service, even when working a night shift on christmas eve.thank you breka!

This is one of my favorite coffee shop chains. The bakery section is something you would see straight out of the Great British Bakeoff! (My go-to favorite is the breakfast croissant.)

The downside is the place was pretty busy and it can be hard to find a table. Also the lobby is a little tight when waiting for your coffee at the location.

Would have rated 4 stars but they are going to have to figure something out to remove the coffee stink. It makes you and your cloths smell like year old coffee dust.

So delicious and lots of seating. Hard to find at first because it’s off the main road. This is as close as you’ll get to a German bakery!

Overall awesome place with great energy. The food is very good. This is now my favorite lunch place.

Was a 5/5 last time I came here 18months ago but seems the service and food quality has gone down hill. A real shame.

Coffee is the best, better than Starbucks. A medium size Americano is only $2.75, it’s freshly brewed and pipping hot. The panini was so delicious and the double chocolate muffin was heavenly. And the price is so much cheaper than Granville Island, the vibe of this bakery coffee house is so cosy, you don’t want to leave. You can spend the whole afternoon sitting there chatting away. Highly recommend this place!

Good drinks and baked goods. Nice atmosphere for sitting outside. Service has always been the worst thing about this cafe. Not once have I experienced "good service". Always bare minimum. If they mess up your order or overfill your drink they dont apologize. Smiling once in awhile and saying thank you goes a long way.

Update: past 3 times I've gotten a dark mocha and 1) it has tasted like hot water and 2) they have filled in so full it spills everywhere trying to get the lid on. Past 3 times.thinking I should stop coming here

The bread selection is nice and they even slice it for you, if you need. I particulatly love their Bauerbrot. It is also very convenient that they are always open; they have saved me from emergencies (such as finding a birthday cake on boxing day).

Open 24 hours. Great customer service when I come here at 3 am. Lovely cakes and drinks. What else do you really need.
