Breka Bakery & Café (Kitsilano)

Wide variety of pastries and hot beverages. I’ll give 10/10 to red velvet pastry that we got. Their mocha is a must try.

A beautiful place to visit with amazing atmosphere, service was excellent and a variety to choose from. Pastries, muffins, donuts, plus soup and sandwiches, hot and cold drinks

I really love the environment here. It's very cozy. Fast service and incredibly good food. I definitely would love to visit here again.

We bought a birthday cake for our daughter who is a a UBC student student. It was her first birthday away from home and i wanted to make it special. We got the red velvet truffle and she said she and her friends loved it. Brekka is definitely a place to go if you have something to celebrate.

Great service, one thing I don't understand, why do they need 8 people working? I work at a restaurant and we only need 3-4 people and it is much busier then Breka. Half of them are just standing around! Sometimes service is slow, probably because there are way too many people in the back, they can't move around anywhere.

Whoever the owner is has done a fantastic job in creating an affordable chain with high quality goods. I haven't seen anything like it anywhere else. And the staff are awesome too.

Many of the baked goods are tasty, but that's about all I can recommend. The lines are long (it can take 25 minutes to get an Americano, the hot food and baked goods and coffee all have to be collected at different stations despite paying in one place, there are rarely empty tables to sit at, and the breakfast croissant is one of the most foul-tasting things I've eaten.

Great baked goods! The scone with green onions. The cheddar and butter as well as the white chocolate and blueberry scone were excellent! The coffee is excellent!
But maybe it would be better to clean the floors outside of the main visiting hours: dust thrown up by the broom trickled down the stairs - not very hygienic in the otherwise so clean cafe!

Very good espresso. I like their banana walnut muffins, vegan.

When someone says they want their order “for here” that means in a mug, and not in a paper cup.

A second time, they put my espresso to go after I asked for it for here in a mug. I asked a second time after I noticed it to go on the screen, they said sorry, and they still put my coffee and water in paper cups. Maybe they don’t like doing dishes.

Great place to just chill in, Breka is nice to just go and grab coffee

Saw this on the way to the beach briefly and it looked so cute we had to go in the morning.this place is SO PRETTY.the perfect spot for a sweet treat or a savoury sandwich.all the goodies were fresh and decadent, i got the the matcha cream puff, nutella donut, pesto and cheese sandwich, and a london fog. EVERYTHING was delicious.the prices are not bad AT ALL for the quantity and quality.definitely a must try.

Got a chocolate almond croissant and, a matcha! So good! Open 24/7 - will definitely be back.

Breka is so lovely! It's a busy place, and for good reason - they have an excellent selection of cakes, pastries and the like, and their drinks are great too. While finding seating can be a challenge, once you're there it's a wonderful place to study, with lots of outlets and a good vibe. I've spent many late nights studying here, and I'm sure I'll spend many more.

Hi I had been there several times trying to find my beloved banoffee tart but it seems Breka has stopped selling it since then. Is it gone forever? When will it be back?

I drove by those place for 5 years before going in because I thought it was just a normal cafe instead of the best pastry place ever

Love that there is no charge for plant milk but was disappointed with the lack of vegan treats.
