Brickyard Community Park

Special place for our family. Was our grandparents favorite swimming hole.

Less bricks than I remember.
Please don't take them home with you

If you want some peace, quiet and why not a nap. This park is where I'd love to take a nap. The views here are incredibly beautiful! Even with "Whiskey Golf" right there in the winchelsea islands that you can see from the benches on the slopey and smooth granite rocks. I felt like I was on the granite rocks in Killbear provincial park - granite saddle beach and the secret beach. But no I'm in beautiful Pacific waters. Me and my dad definitely had an excellent short visit. But one I will definitely visit again when I come back to the magnificent Vancouver island.

One of my favourite spots in Nanoose! Great little walking trail down to a swim destination in the summertime. A number of benches create a peaceful atmosphere for a sunrise or tranquil evening.

After a short walk through the trees, where you can see scattered bricks and remains of the original brickyard, you come into view of gorgeously clear water, mountains, and rocky islands. We came to see the sea lions during herring spawn. While there were no fish, there were barking sea lions lounging on the islands. There was also a raft of them in the water circling and eating. Bring your binoculars. Great experience!

Came for the fish siemens was not disappointed with the view. Cannot recommend the smell

Wow! Expansive views of the Straight of Georgia, great sitting areas with easy access from the parking lot. A+!
