Broadway Camera

I bought my first Nikon camera Z6II and prime lens 35mm f/1.8 at the Broadway location. I visited and spoke to the sales representatives at both the Broadway and Richmond locations. They are both knowledgeable and patient in answering my newbie questions. I visited the Broadway location again the next day and had the opportunity to meet and speak to Henry Wong - like other sales representative he is very knowledge and patience. What set him apart is his genuine and practical approach - instead of just asking what I want or need, he offers a practical and honest recommendations. For example, I did not know until he advised that the camera body can become obsolete over time, but the lenses would not. So it’s more important to invest in good lenses as compared to the body. As he heard that I’m new to pick up the photography as my hobby and just learned about the photography terms the last four days, he anticipated the knowledge that seems obvious to others is not to me. And he did not try to recommend higher price model, and found his recommendation very genuine and honest. I feel this is how to retain and attract customer loyalty to continue to seek for his advice when I’m ready to get my second lens in the future. In any event, as I spoke to another sales representative the day before speaking to Henry, my sales went to the other sales representative. However Henry still offers his help and advice without concerning his commissions. Definitely 5 stars rating for Henry! Thank you.

For the first time, I wanted to have information about buying a Nikon Z9 camera, so I went to the Broadway Camera store in Vancouver with my friend. English is not good, but Mr. Peter Lan patiently gave me the explanations I needed and helped me get to know the camera I wanted better. I am very happy that I was able to buy some products that were on sale with a 15% off, and this purchase is my appreciation for Peter's honesty. I will definitely buy my camera and lenses from this store because sellers who respect the customer and their needs deserve respect and the best.

Fantastic experience with this camera store. Ordered billingham bag online and it was shipped within hrs of me ordering. Delivery was quick and item was well packaged and in perfect shape. Updated tracking as well. Great experience, will order again.

Yes I have come to this store to buy a camera bag, atomos battery and a cleaning gel. So they approached to me very kindly and professionally. They treated me so good and I thought that I should post something about it.

Since I entered the store they welcomed me as it supposed to be, they explained everything very well, and compared other stuff eventhough I didnt excited at all. And at the another time, I had an issue with my gimbal+lidar combo. So they generously let me use their own gimbal to understand where did I make a mistake. And they made no profit on me at that time. So thank you for your gorgeous help.

To sum up, if you are looking for camera or something related cameras or you need help about your gear, this is the correct address in Vancouver! Hope they will continue the way they do.

I came in with my dad’s old canon AL-1 having no idea what to do with it and Henry took the time to walk me through the basics free of charge. He’s clearly passionate about photography and I would trust the team with any/all questions and future photography purchases.

Extremely poor customer relations. Ordered camera chatted with sales person who new we are temporarily out if country on mission trip. Placed oder cc was approved then they said we cannot ship the camera to a relative who would then send it us. They must be doing so much business they don't care. Surely would never recommend anyone shop with a company thar treats people like dirt even after the cc confirmation they guaranteed payment to them

I always have good experiences here. Everyone is friendly, extremely knowledgable and loves photography. I was helped by Henry who provided all the information I needed to enjoy my new Sony 85mm lens. He also volunteered as a model to help me test the lens! Thanks Henry and team!

I was helped quickly and the staff member I dealt with was friendly and knowledgeable. It didn't feel like they were trying to push me into buying anything and helped me pick out some equipment that was cheaper, and in their opinion, better than the stuff I was looking at.

Had a really fantastic experience here buying my first camera. Had a lot of (probably annoying) questions and Steve provided some very helpful information that made the decision making process easier. It can be really intimidating getting into photography but the expert advice and great service definitely put me at ease. Great to have a local shop that gives that extra bit of care you just can't get through large retailers!

One of the BEST customer experiences I've ever had shopping retail. Regardless if you're in there buying low-priced items, or a high-priced items, the staff will educate you on what you should buy for the set up you have or are getting. Peter is one of the most genuine sales representatives I've ever met and happily helped to get my new set-up in order. I'd recommend anyone to shop here– from beginners, to pros, he'll level with you and ensure you walk out with the right equipment that suits your budget.

Had a great first experience at Broadway Camera. While I didn't buy anything this time, Steve was nonetheless very helpful and pointed me toward learning resources to better my photography.
I was very impressed at the quality of service, and how he went above and beyond to figure out what I needed instead of trying to sell me something I thought I needed (based on reviews online).

I shopped around and this place had the best deal in town on Canon M50s; free 64gb SD card and Canon strap, plus two free photography lessons which I thought was a really nice touch. I'm really happy with my camera. Thanks Ricky M for your help.

I've been looking for an alternative camera shop that appreciates my business. Toronto camera shops leave me cold for inflated pricing and poor customer experience. During the holiday season, I bought a Sony RX100vii from Broadway Camera in Vancouver. Customer support was nothing short of stellar. My first conversation with them pretty well convinced me that my search for a one-stop camera shop was over. The staff helped me make good choices by giving me good advice and they made it very easy to shop online. As a bonus, with my purchase, Broadway Camera includes a 128gb SanDisk Extreme pro flash card, extra battery and charger (as advertised). With the purchase of the identical camera at any Toronto camera shop you can name, no offers were included. By the way, the camera arrived quickly.

Ended up finding Broadway Camera online after they offered the best price + package on a camera I had been researching for a while.

Upon arriving at the store I ended up having a fantastic conversation with Peter, one of the managers; having experienced other "pro-shops" in various industries I immediately knew I was in the right hands.

This is the kind of store one would continuously visit as you dive into the rabbit hole that is photography. I'm no professional, but I imagine someone of any skill level can benefit from chatting with these guys.

Before I went to Canada, I was looking for a zoom lens, Broadway had the one I was looking for and even on discount.although the offer expired before I got there, they put it aside for my, for the same price. Amazing service and very friendly staff.
(PS. I got some amazing photos with the new lens, among others some of the Spirit bear)

These guys sell great cameras and have great prices. Just don't go there for the new Olympus cameras. They don't carry them.

Very helpful staff. Great selection of cameras and equipment. Nothing is cheap here, but the quality is without question.

Broadway Camera has been my go-to for their expertise. Peter Lan provided excellent service, helping me upgrade to a mirrorless camera and getting exactly what I was looking for. He's also incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the camera's function and potential, able to speak to the advances in technology and translate it to how the images are benefited in a meaningful way.

I’ve been dealing with Broadway camera for almost 10 years now with Paola (when he was in Surrey) now managing Coquitlam and Jasna at the Broadway store. They have both guided me through my Nikon purchases and now my Fujifilm gear. Always informed and knowledge guidance in a very friendly and helpful manner. Prices are always competitive. You can buy online or from other stores but establishing a relationship is much more important to me.

Not a very good store.

They refuse to sell Canon 15-85 Lens just like any other camera store in Canada. This is one of the best lens for any camera that is not full frame. What do they have against this lens?

Don't waste your money! I spent $8000 here rather than spending $7500 on Amazon as the guy told me that they look after their customers and they're all about customer service. I broke the UV filter and didn't want to touch anything - I took it in, the guy says "We don't service anything here, we don't have a service department! " WTF! They are just a seller no different than Amazon. They make you believe they are a full-service shop to get the business of people who want to have someone locally in case of problems, but surprise! They don't even do it!

They sold me a dud. The camera was in open package. They said they need to check everything before they give it to me. But they did not do it with me in front of my eyes. The Nikon package had a big dent on its side. They told me it's OK. Later on Nikon told me the camera has been dropped. They convinced me to buy their extended warranty. They declined to cover the damage. They kept saying I was the one who damaged it.
These guys are not professional businessmen and lack of integrity. Aoid at all costs.

I have been a customer of the store since 2010. Lots of my friends tell me to shop online to get a better price however, for me it is more about a relationship. Henry always treats me like I am the only customer of the day! He has shared many shooting tips and photo sites with me from his personal experience.you'll never get that online. Broadway Camera understands the value of customer service!

Been coming to Broadway Camera for a number of years now, with Peter helping me out for most of my camera and photographic needs. Peter Is always super helpful providing knowledgeable advice. He's also pretty easy going and sociable, super easy to deal with.

Customer service is absolutely remarkable! This is the best help I have gotten in long time! I went in there to buy a simple CF card reader and ended up talking to Peter Lan for 30 mins and he had the ability to answer every pending question I had! I have not be able to get that kind of customer service & information in many other camera shops! This is the main store I shop at for camera equipment even though they have a smaller store than the neighbouring photography stores but some how they always seem to have what I am looking for where as the others lack. The sales staff (especially Peter) are by far more knowledgeable than other locations which seem to employ students or bran new to sales staff, and are more than happy to sit there with you while you bounce back and forth during big purchase decisions.

Save yourself time and go here.
