Dr. Saintonge is absolutely amazing! I have had some pretty bad luck with dentists in my 30+ years and because of them I had lost all faith in dentists and developed a fear for them. I had no insurance for years and had really neglected my teeth so I decided now that I have insurance I really need to face my fear of dentists and get the much needed work done. The hygienist (Jun) was a total sweetheart. She is always smiling and insuring that I was comfortable and relaxed and unlike the dentist and hygienists in my past, Jun, instead of telling me how bad me teeth were, would compliment me and tell me the great things I was doing with my oral hygiene, She's great! When it came time to meet my dentist, my heart pounded with anxiety as I imagine a fire breathing, 9 ft tall, money hungry monster with massive syringes and drills slowly walking towards the room, but then in comes this really nice genuinely caring woman who smiles and laughs with you and makes you feel like an actual person with feelings and BAM, anxiety is gone. I have not had any issues with any of the great work she has done, all the work feels and looks natural and flawless and she is super fast compaired to my previous "dentist". Her assistant (Rachella) is awesome too, she is so kind and obviously she is great at her job, she always knows what Dr. Saintonge is thinking and is always 4 steps ahead which makes for smooth sailing. I actually don't mind going to the dentist now (with insurance of course), I always know I will have a good experience. I see a few bad reviews on here and honestly, I can't believe that they are real. I have never had any problems with this place. My appointments are always on time and the staff are very nice and extremely helpful, especially those mentioned above. I would and do recommend this place to everyone and anyone looking for a new dentist, I ESPECIALLY recommend DR. Saintonge!

Very happy with all aspects of this clinic.
I came to Broadway Dental after a botched repair of a chipped tooth at another clinic (filling fell out while I was eating a PBJ). Dr Tulumello did a nice repair and has done a couple of other minor fillings for me since.
I'm especially pleased with my hygienist Chris who has helped me establish an effective care routine despite multiple complications (chronic acid reflux, mouth breathing/dry mouth, gum recession, tooth grinding). He's very responsive and makes plenty of helpful suggestions for products and techniques. It's way beyond "make sure you're flossing every day and don't press the brush too hard".
The desk staff are also pleasant and helpful.

Kim the hygienist was great. I have dental anxiety, but she kept checking in on how I was doing, letting me know it was okay to take a break if I was getting too freaked out, etc. It felt like she took my anxiety seriously, and that, ironically, made the experience much less anxious than usual. A dental cleaning still isn’t fun, but I wasn’t a nervous wreck by the end like I often am. Only issue was long wait to see the actual dentist. But heck, there’s a pandemic on. I can live with waiting a while. And the whole clinic seemed to be taking COVID very seriously. A significantly less horrible visit to the dentist than expected!

DR. ANIK SAINTONGE was my dentist.

At arrival, you’re greeted with a desk of receptionist. Kinda weird for a dental office.

Dr. SAINTONGE saw me for a person with a dental plan and money to be made. I had silver filling in my mouth that were over 20 years. She recommended that I remove all those filling and replace them with porcelain fillings. Removing them all would mean money from the patient/extended health plan. At the time, I inquired with the plan and they refused to pay for all the filling to be removed. Meaning I would have to pay out of pocket.no way!

I went for a second opinion and another dentist told me that although my fillings were old, he didn’t see the need to replace them all. One or two are rusted, but that’s it.

I stop being a patient in 2017.
My current dentist is says the same thing (after four years of not visiting a dentist), not all my filling needed to be replaced.

So.money is more important than the patient health. No, thanks!

Had my wisdom teeth removed here and didn’t even feel the needle. The dentist used a relatively “new” injection technique called the “hole in one” where the needle is advanced slowly into the gum as lidocaine is injected. Wouldn’t get my teeth done anywhere else

Super dentist (Dr Liu) and hygenists and the staff is all super nice too! I never wait more than 5 mins and there is free parking on the side streets!

I have been going to this dental clinic for about 7 years. My dentist (Dr Tulumello) is fantastic and every hygienist who has ever taken care of my teeth have been excellent. Finally, every single one of the receptionists is so nice and helpful. A great team of professionals! Strongly recommended!

This is a fantastic place to go for your dentistry! Everyone there-from my dentist and hygienist to the front desk staff- is kind, professional and respectful. The dental work my daughter and I have had done there has been top notch and they are helpful and understanding about the enormous financial pressure it is to pay for dentistry. It should be covered by MSP but that’s another review topic lol.

My first appointment at this clinic today. My only complaint is the dental hygienist. A bad attitude would describe her. I do not understand how someone can function as a dental hygienist who consistently deals with the general public and clearly shows the attitude that she does not want to be dealing with people. Especially when you have such a polite and pleasant patient. It left me with a very negative experience as a first-time patient. She was very abrupt and did not want to explain anything and I felt completely left in the dark.it's a true shame to see such a lack of customer service. I'm sorry to say but if you don't want to deal with the general public in a positive fashion then the Broadway subway station A&W is hiring to flip burgers.

I've been to this office a couple times now and have had great experiences both times. Really friendly and professional staff who are very willing to talk through things with their patients. I ask a lot of questions, and they were awesome about explaining stuff.

The standard of care is extremely high as well. As an example, I've had procedures involving anesthetics many times, and this was definitely the most painless experience I've had.

Had the left side of my wisdom teeth pulled here. I don’t know what the dentist did but I was left with a blood clot the size of a damn golf ball on my jaw. He said it was completely normal (WHICH IT WAS NOT).

Not to mention, every time I call the office trying to see if I can come in. I have ministry coverage, they tell me I have no coverage. I think I’ll just find a new dentists. They’re so ridiculous on the phone, constantly being transferred. Like just answer my question without asking 5 other assistants.

I am always impressed with the level of customer care and professionalism. Great staff all around. Keep up the great work everyone!

This has got to be the best Dental office in the lower mainland, all the staff are very friendly. Dr. Liu is awesome!

Best dentist ever! Had Dr. Cheevers for over 35 years, and he has always been efficient, professional, and did an amazing job on my teeth.

I have recently had two appointments so far with the incredible DR. DOUG LIU and will have several more in my future as I haven’t been to the dentist in a while and it was a little difficult to finding an honest dentist and not someone who views your teeth as money making for their pockets. I’m certainly not saying all dentist are like this, yet I’ve heard many stories from friends along these lines as to them feeling that it was money and expensive dental bills.

NOT the case at all at BROADWAY STATION DENTAL CENTRE! Actually the complete opposite at this centre. From the moment I walked into the dental office, the friendly receptionist greeted me and welcomed me on my first visit to Broadway Station. She was professional, polite and asked me how my day was going. Handed me a questionnaire to fill out and if I had any questions to not hesitate to ask her and to take my time. Now I ask anyone, how many times have you gone to an appointment and made to feel you’re being rushed? NOT here and all the receptionist, as there is 6 Doctors at this office, were all super friendly and nice.

When I went to dental room, noticed right away how “airy” it was and not a dark room and even had a window in it which the patients chair was facing and framed cute photos of the Doctors adorable girls. The dental assistant was equally as friendly as the receptionist and ever so polite while explaining the process to taking photo x-rays of my teeth. And after taking them showed me some of the priority problems that the Doctor will go over with me in better details.

To be honest, I’ve known Dr. Liu for many years and we are friends. Over these years, Dr. Liu has never solicited me or questioned as to why I am not a client of his since we are friends.
He has never discussed about any of his patients or the countless dental problems he sees daily and has ALWAYS been professional about his business; only to say of how much he loves being a Doctor and helping people and the personal rewards he feels to making all his clients feel proud and happy about their teeth!

So when I was sitting in his chair, felt a little nervous and embarrassed about how bad my teeth were and to Dr. Liu seeing them.
Well as I should have known, Dr. Liu was of course professional and with honesty to explaining my priority problems and the sequences for my following appointments.
He fixed my immediate tooth problem and scheduled me in for a longer time to continuing to working on my teeth.

My second visit with Dr. Liu was more intense as he now had a better picture of my teeth and my problems. I appreciated him explaining everything he was doing and for his reasonings.
He walked me through with kindness, patience and consideration as to what was best for me.
After just a little over two hours, actually not feeling much pain as everyone fears, Dr. Liu repaired three major teeth and build them to looking new!

It’s my belief that not very many Dentist as high regarded as Dr. Liu, would be so honest and genuine to take the time as he did with me.
In my honest opinion, he is the BEST in his profession and I would have NO hesitation to referring Dr. Liu to everyone and anyone who wants the best to be working on their teeth to a brighter happier healthier smile!

What was even an extra incredible surprise, four days after my appointment with Dr. Liu texted me to find out how I was doing and if I was feeling any discomfort! How amazing is he and again ask yourself, does your Dentist text you days later to find out your well being?

This place ripped off a senior he payed 29,000 for a broken piece. Terrible smile. How could someone be proud of this work. Really disappointimg will not be coming here after seeing what happened to my neighbor. Dr. Douglas Liu Alias Doug Liu is horrible

Dr Shew is a great dentist I saw him for yrs and spent thousands in cash
The reason I give only two stars are you are only as good as you weakest link
I had an implant fall out after a couple years of use that Dr shew put in
When I called to have it reattached the receptionist said that Dr shew was booked for 3 weeks
I then asked if another dentist in the office could reattach it
She said no it had to be Dr shew
Ended up losing the tooth so they charged me another 900 cash to remake the tooth
I asked Dr. Shew why only he could put it back he sAid anyone in the office could have done it
I was and am very upset with that service I received for the receptionist so I have to find a new dentist
Shame on you guys making me spend all that extra money

I've gone here since 1972; Dr. L Cheevers is a fantastic dentist. The whole team is great and Kim is a lovely hygienist. I would highly recommend them.
