I love Browns. Honestly, eat here about once or twice a week. I enjoy the guildford location as it seems a lot bigger than the other locations in Surrey. Server was nice could have been better but it is what it is. Relaxing environment and busy. Tried the house red wine for the first time - not what I would order again but was curious. Plus can never go wring with the calamari.yum!

Great place for a family night out. You can be assured of good food and a pleasant atmosphere.

Not a lot of vegetarian options. Also the room seemed cold. Service was quick and the sushi was very tasty.

As always, very nice place for a brunch, I love steak and eggs and some times order avocado toast or pouched eggs. We only tried once dinner, but we enjoy more brunch.

Gr8 fish & chips. Not greasy, crisp fish. The in house tarter sauce was the best I've had. Coleslaw, was not slathered in mayo, very good.

Browns has become my go-to. I honestly believe they have found the sweet spot in terms of hospitality. They've perfected the vibe (neither too formal nor too casual), the food is consistently great and the service is always on point. Highly recommend the loaded nachos and the crispy calamari with a pint of pale ale. Cheers

Feb 2 2023 went there again last night, food excellent, server fantastic, music still way too loud for conversation. Food was great! Went for lunch with co-workers on a quiet day.hardly anyone there when we arrived just before noon. We were seated directly under a music speaker which was too loud, I mentioned moving but waitress said she would turn it down. We asked several more times about the loud music and it actually seemed to go up in volume. We noticed on the way out that the area where staff hangs out.on the edge by the kitchen, the music was half the volume. So please, people go out for a nice lunch to chat and enjoy a meal together - not to yell across the table at each other. Music was good btw

Nice place, convenient with a lot of parking space.
Nice quick staff with neatness and professionalism.
Although I wish they kept their outdoor patio in winter time. Would have been a cozy place with some heaters and blankets.

Delicious food, yam fries very good and crunchy well spiced. Dynamite roll was just rice and shrimp tempura so very basic. The atmosphere is kinda loud so a little hard to have conversations.

Service was friendly but kind of slow. They have 3 non alcoholic drinks besides pop. There is a secret kids menu you can order from. My sisters kids got kids Alfredo fettuccine and chicken strips and fries with apple juice. The oreo cookie jar is delicious and filling! It is a simple dessert but it really hits the spot.

My parents ordered the smokehouse burgers and loved it! My husband ordered the butchers block burger and loved it - perfectly juicy with the crispy onion ring in the middle just great!

Overall a good experience. Small serving size though so have to order more plates to really fill up.

High praise to our server/ bartender Matt! He demonstrated outstanding hospitality and made amazing recommendations. His service was efficient yet easy-going, every interaction was awesome. I would highly recommend giving Matt and the team at Browns Guildford a visit. Good and drinks were outstanding. See you soon Matt!

Stood at front desk behind another group, for over 7min and no one walked over or even looked at the front desk area. We even called the restaurant to get someone to the front desk and no one answered.
At least they were busy so they won’t miss us leaving.

Got the dynamite roll and southwest chicken bowl and both were very average taste-wise and the rice bowl was very underwhelming

Browns is always amazing in food and customer service but had a bad experience last visit. This location 30th November closing staff around 9pm was really unprofessional. They didn’t know how to talk say hi. I will not say they were rude but i also work in a restaurant and the customer service was very bad.
Please work on that. Overall you guys are great 8/10

It was my first time visiting browns social house with my friends. Loved the chill vibes and atmosphere. The music sounded so good and casual. We had ordered loaded nachos, butter chicken and as for the lettuce wraps we substituted the kung pao chicken with kung pao cauliflower and it tasted so good that it blew my taste buds. The portion sizes were so big that one or two dishes are more than enough for 4 people. The service was outstanding and the server was so sweet to accommodate are needs. 10/10 for both food and service.

This was my third time here and the food is good, but their service is pathetic, the waitresses don’t know how you can be humble to your clients. They are super rude. They were not serving food, they were just throwing it at our face. That doesn’t make the experience enjoyable at all, when the staff is super rude. They Really need to learn some etiquette’s to deal with people and be nice to them

Alyssa is an amazing manager! It was our first time at this location and the service was amazing. All the servers are cheerful and caring. We will always stop by when we are in Coquitlam, Vancouver.

Jamie is an amazing server! She’s so sweet and friendly, had a great time in her section 10/10 experience and would come back again.

Browns has kept its prices reasonable, unlike many of the other chains. Lovely patio with a neighbouring fountain to add to the peaceful setting. Food is always good.

I recently had my birthday party at Browns Guildford and it was a wonderful experience. The management was accommodating and went over and above to make sure the evening was great. Service was fantastic, and everyone who works there are kind and friendly.

Upbeat environment, especially Friday and Saturday evenings. Friendly staff and manager, delicious food. I like the fettuccine alfredo with blackened chicken, crispy cauliflower, nachos, Pub and Hollywood burgers. The crispy chicken burger looks amazing! There is a Beyond Burger vegetarian option too. Oh! And the warm brownie? ! YUM! Music is decent, patio is wonderful on a warm afternoon or evening. There are heaters outside in case it gets chilly. Some good deals for social hour and the Caesars (drinks) are delicious! Beer is nice and cold. Plenty of parking available. Great place! 5/5

It was good. The waitress was super good at her job. Sorry I don't remember her name but she has short arms haha. Food was good, nice atmosphere. T.v's above the urinals. Classy joint.

Waited over 35 mins to be served after being seated. Ordered the Impossible Hollywood burger and had regular fries to go with it. The fries were soggy, completely unsalted, and tasted like they’ve been left out for over a week in a hot room. The burger itself was good.

I was there a July 2 and was so sad. I live the Dragon bowl and they have changed it. I was like eating a teriyaki bowl and it wasn't before.

Food was average and pretty expensive for the quantities. We had a number of the happy hour appetizers and everything was just decent. Had the fish n chips, the wait was long and the fries (chips) weren't hot, the fish was tasty though. The staff was nice and friendly and our waitress was great. Overall, just a kind of good/average experience, not sure if I would return.

Met some old friends Saturday Night at Browns Social House Guildford location. It was a central location for our group as we had people coming in from Vancouver, Burnaby, Langley and Mission. There was 8 of us.

We sat out on the patio. Saturday night was beautiful. Patio was spacious, clean and seats were super comfy!

I forgot to take pictures because it was 3 plus years since we last saw everyone. But the food was great, burgers were good size and we had some appies including the full order of nachos to share with the group. Our waitress provided great service and we stayed longer than planned because of the service and atmosphere. Believe we were there for close to 4 hours.

Great times and we'll definitely be back again!

Usually understaffed except for Friday and Saturday. Customers always have to wait at door, food sitting in expo window because they only have 1 server. Also saw a server washing dishes which is kinda gross?

Update. March 16,2022. Amazing service by Sakshi. I've never met a more friendly, efficient and pleasant server. Such a nice young lady. She did a great job!

I am extremely disappointed to be writing this. I had ordered the chicken lettuce wraps, through skip the dishes and found a metal hook like object which was lodged inside the pieces of chicken. The experience was traumatic. I thought it was a piece of bone when I had taken it out of my mouth my girlfriend as witness felt sick right away. The Manager sanjeev was contacted and he said even though it's from the restaraunt I had to call skip the dishes regarding the issue. Browns Head office was contacted the next day promising me a phone call back it has been weeks, an Incident form was filled. All I really got back from browns was an apology email saying sorry. Unfortunately I was eating with a 4 year old and I can't take this as lightly as they are. It seems like the standard of food has dropped dramatically. My legal team was notified.

Skylar was our server tonight and she was AMAZING! Such a sweetheart and made us feel right at home! Super recommend this place!

I had an amazing meal at Browns this past weekend on New Years Eve! The hosts were very welcoming and well organized and the service was prompt. When the food arrived I was a little sceptical of the look but was pleasantly surprised when the fish I had ordered was cooked to perfection with a crisp bite each and every time it touched my mouth. As for the chips they were up to standard; nothing crazy but we’re certainly good. The dark and fancy mood while I was in there made it really feel like New Years and I would highly suggest this restaurant to others in the future!

Had a great experience, the server was friendly. The service in general was great. The food was delicious. We got mostly things from the happy hour menu as we didn't make it in until late and they have the deals on from like 930 til they close, the parmesan fries where awesome I also tried the fried chicken and pickles they where good as well. In the end the total bill for three people and a pitcher of beer was a little high but I didn't mind since the food was good and service was great the calamari my wife picked from the regular menu is what drove the price up a bit lol and wasn't the largest portion for the fact it was in a section of menu titled shareable but it was done really well so even that was acceptable. All and all for my first time going it was great. If I ever make it back I will definitely try to make sure it's during the happy hour to keep the price reasonable. Also a big thank you to our server who did a fantastic job.

This was a great place to bring friends or family! The menu offers a range of different cuisines in it. I am normally a picky eater so this place was great for me, especially since I am pescatarian. Food was delicious and came quickly. I recommend the ahi tuna poke. The service was absolutely phenomenonal. Jeannine was my server for the night and was helpful in deciding what I wanted to eat. She was bubbly and seemed to genuinely care about our table. Never had to raise my hand to call for service and water was always topped up. I've been to many of their locations but this is my absolute favourite! Def would recommend this place, much better than their langley location!

We order from here almost weekly and it's always yummy I appreciate the quick friendly service and the nice notes on my order, it's a sweet personal touch.

Service was horrible. Had to wait for the server to return and ask us if we needed another drink or anything else. Disappointing experience.

Went with hubby for my birthday dinner. Our server after she brought the food. Never once came by to ask how our food tasted or if we needed anything and left so quick my hubby couldn't ask her for ketchup for his yam fries. What a disappointment and difference in service compared to my lunch earlier today at Earls across the street. I guess maybe we didn't order any alcoholic beverages so she just abandons us as lost cause for extra tips. The calamari was way too salty this time too. Which is a shame cuz it was our favourite appitizer to order from them too every time. I had to wave down the hostess that seated us when we needed the bill because our server is nowhere to be seen.

Used to be so so good. We used to come here almost everyday last year. Happy Social appies such as the dry ribs, calamari, and Korean chicken nuggets are now replace with cauliflower bites and gyozas and deep fried pickle. Portion are way smaller too now stuffed in small cups than a plate: (not gonna come back anymore.

Came here on Friday. We asked to move to sit by fire place and were told the manager said no. It wasn’t even busy and no one was sitting there. Aren’t customers always first. Debating on coming back if Friday night manager isnt going to be rude again.

We ordered a salad and asked for dressing on the side, we picked up the order and there was no dressing. This is not the first time our orders have been messed up. This has happened multiple times. We called to complain and when the hostess called the manager to come to the phone she didn't put us on hold or anything, we heard her yell "angry customer! " to the manager. So unprofessional and they haven't done anything to fix our problem whenever they mess up!

Patio is open, good service and it was pretty quiet and well spaced out. Only issue is they don't have proper covers, only umbrellas so if it is raining it wouldn't be that great.

We went there for a business meeting and got the random patio seats. While waiting for the others to join we requested the server for the other spot. She asked us to wait couple of minutes as the guys on requested spot were just paying off there bill and were about to leave. After 10 mins a group of girls walked in and asked the supervisor (TODD) for that particular spot (the we were waiting for) and he made it available for them right away. When I walked up to him (Supervisor *TODD*) to let him know in a super polite manner that Sir we've been waiting for that spot for like 15 mins, instead of apologizing that guy's reply was "I can't ask them to switch now. This is all we have here, if you don't like it you can leave. '' Basically he sounded like Just be happy with what you got otherwise, F off! " It was the first time I've visited this place and for sure it would be the last. Boston Pizza across the street is much respectful place and customer oriented place then this.

I wish I could give 0 stars they wasted our time we booked for 5 people but when we got there they said there’s no reservations.they screwed our weekend

Been here a few times before I could give an honest review. Great place for a hangout spot, amazing house beers, and appies. Some menu iteams are a bit of a miss, and a few are a nice surprise. The spicy tuna sushi roll, cauliflower bites, and spicy chicken and pickles are absolutely delicious. The spicy chicken burger, beef dip, and nachos are a bit of a disappoint. Also an amazing happy hour and amazing friendly staff.

Great location, food was delicious. There was a small error with my meal but they made me a new dish and comped the item anyways so we didn't have to pay for the corrected meal. We would have been fine doing so as I did end up getting the corrected dish so this was a very nice move on their part. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal once corrected and we will definitely be back when we are in the area again.

Good attentive service right from the hostess seating us to the server getting us the bill. Had the calamari and it was delicious, well spiced and not too greasy or overbreaded. The burger was well presented and delicious. I would have liked a broader beer selection on tap since it's got a pub vibe but the one rotating tap was a good one.

Super refreshing! I usually don't like to go out to eat at franchise restaurants, But my first experience with Browns Social was awesome. The beef dip with onion bacon jam and a roasted garlic aioli, was amazing! Au jus was served hot and full flavored not watered down, and the fries were fresh, crispy and well seaoned! I hope the Browns Social in my city is as good as this location.

We went to brown social house today and before ordering the Caesar salad we asked the server is there any meat. He said no. When it came there was bacon in it. Really disappointed. Server should be aware of it that we wanted the salad without any meat.

The ambience is very warm and cosy. However my pasta dish chicken Alfredo had a tiny piece of chicken for a full order it wasn't really in portion to the dish.

Service and covid protocol were excellent

Not the nicest options for kid friendly appetizers I enjoyed my burger my daughter liked her pasta my son didn't enjoy his taco to much but wasnt so bad the waitress was super nice

Place felt to nice for the clientele that were in there. We had a drunk at the end of the bar arguing with the bartender and the management staff continued to serve him more alcohol. He was loud, swearing and threw his phone on the ground to make a point to something no one new of. Wont be going back anytime soon.

I love this location! If you want quality food and quality service, come to this restaurant! Staff is always super welcoming, especially the hosts. I came in last Saturday night, ordered their social lager and french dip with onions and mushrooms. Delish. Will be back soon!

Staff members are very slow not much knowledge of the menu, small portions and high prices, maybe one more try, if I'm not paying

We had a great time, arrived after 9 and got the happy hour drinks and appetizers. Everything was delicious and servers were great!

Great food. Usually good service. We've waited quite a while to get a bill at the end of a meal more than once and it's always freezing in there.

First time at this location as we normally go to the one closer to our house. Food was as expected but the service was absolutely horrid. The restaurant could not have been more than half full and it still felt as if we were being ignored. We had to constantly flag down our server and other staff for small things like water refills and napkins.

Food was great! Service was rough.
The servers would group up at the bar or in front of the kitchen and chat. We had to flag someone down every time we wanted something, from water to ordering our food. I saw two tables actually stand up and walk over to get attention. Something that left a sour taste in our table's mouth though was when we saw the same servers who had been standing around for the last 10 minutes turn to a busser/hostess (not sure) and flatly say "there are a bunch of tables that need cleaning back there" waving further into the restaurant.
At every restaurant I've worked at this would have been unacceptable behaviour. Standing around then ordering someone to clean up a mess? It's extremely rude and lazy.

Hats off to the kitchen though! Saved our meal delicious food. +2 stars for the food.

Friendly service food was ok. I ordered the wings. They were warm but not hot so I asked to have them microwaved. Server was very friendly and helpful.

I'll start with something that I really liked - the music. It's the first place we went out in a while that doesn't have the music blasting, which was great. We were able to have a conversation! And the music was good, so extra points for that. Food was good too, very tasty - appetizers and mains.
Was disappointed though that when I got my hamburger, which I asked for in a lettuce wrap (I'm on Keto), it came on a slim bed of julienned lettuce, which forced me to eat a yummy hamburger with a fork and a knife. Which is so wrong, lol. I would go there again but I would make sure to be very clear about what I'm ordering.

Food was ok but fairly bad service. The servers would huddle up near the kitchen and chit chat for 70% of the time I was there. Was never asked if my food was ok, among other normal courtesy items. After reading some of the recent reviews, I completely understand what other customers must have felt. Seemed like immature and untrained staff.

Went here with my mom for dinner. We were seated at a table beside the bar and the bartender was supposedly our server. He came and asked us for our order and we were indecisive at that point so he said he would come back in a few minutes. We took a couple minutes to decide but our server was behind the bar, serving drinks and talking to people at the bar so we couldn't get his attention. 5 min passed and we flagged down a hostess asking if we could order, and she said she would tell our server, but I saw that she didn't actually approach him and went back to the front of the restaurant as new patrons were entering. 15 minutes total had passed and finally our server came and took our order. When our food came I received the wrong order. Our server was yet again behind the bar and was not paying attention to us. I tried to get other people's attention but they would all avoid eye contact. Finally I had someone else come and they apologized and took the dish away. Another 15 minutes of waiting for the correct food and watching my mom eat, and by the time I received it my mom was already done hers. Not once did our "server" come by to ask us how we were doing or to refill our water. He didn't say anything about the wrong food order nor did he even make the effort to make conversation. Needless to say our night was ruined and we wont be back.

Good food. Friendly staff. Awesome bar to drink and watch sports. The price for their food is fair. Atmosphere is amazing and felt warm. This is not a family friendly restaurant so i do not advise bringing children with you as there are no kids menu.

It was okay that night (food, customer service). Service could have been better. Felt like she was in a rush. But overall it was not bad.

Steak and sushi? Bizzaro combo but steak was perfect and sushi was good. Not a very large portion but good. The server I had was super friendly and the coffee was great.

Warm and welcoming, with great drinks, great food and absolutely fantastic staff. Recommended for a fun and quick bite if you're in the area.

Somehow my phone gave the wrong rating by itself! I didn't even think of rating this place. However, it is a great occasion to say that I enjoyed the ambiance, the service was fabulous and people who served me were very nice. It is a great place, please keep us the great work;)

Great food! But VERY noisy! We came with a large group and hardly could have a word.
Way too loud music and everyone has to talk loud to compete.

My partner and I chose Browns on a whim for a casual date night and, bar the fact no one in the place joined me in yelling, "Opa! " when a server dropped a tray, we had a great experience.

Atmosphere and cliental were eclectic, which I really appreciate. The tables across from us featured, from left to right, what looked like a Bible study date, a Duck Dynasty convention, and a Jersey Shore reunion. Great for people watching, and for keeping the vibe comfortable. I also love the dark setting, and the bright bathrooms were a clean contrast.

Drinks were decent, and decently priced but nothing to write home about. Nothing excited us on that end but it wasn't a negative experience. The Cucumber Mint Moscow Mule was a really watery disappointment, the Guinness well poured, the Peach (? I was a bit intoxicated by this point aha) Stanley Park Wheat Ale was lovely, and whatever raspberry sugary thing I started with was fine enough. The drink menu isn't small and yet it feels limiting in its sweet and unimaginative offers, but Browns gets points for how they handled my boyfriend's Whiskey Sour. Patrick took into account my partner's preferences and not only customised it to his taste, he and the bartender taste tested the palate before serving. Super happy with that.

Patrick himself was a delight, letting us throw quips at him before he returned his own. We're not hard to please, service wise, but we are extremely discerning, and he more than fit the bill. The hostesses (petite blonde, tall brunette with a braided top to her pony tail) were also kind and bubbly. A good trio of faces for the company. Great attitudes, attentive service.

Food leaves me with little to note but we (drunkenly) stuck to the starters so it doesn't feel as though we actually got a proper look at the menu. We enjoyed what we ordered (Nachos, Salt and Pepper Dry Ribs, Korean Fried Chicken), and the kitchen handled our requests via Patrick very well. It also was served very quickly.

We were already having a lovely day, and the positive vibe at Browns really added to it. Good time all around. Thank you.

Great experience, the food was real tasty the atmosphere was nice not to loud. Pub style food and craft beers. The staff were super kind and made sure to check in with us on the regular. Keep up the good work!

Christmas celebration with friends. Great atmosphere, excellent service. I ordered the garlic shrimp fettuccine half sauce. Good but skimpy with the shrimp. My husband ordered the 28 dragon bowl. Said it was very good but again they were skimpy with the chicken portion. Presentation of the food was very nice. Alcohol drinks are a bit pricey.
