Browns Socialhouse Mission

This Browns Socialhouse is a great place for brunch and dinner. The coffee was good, not the best. However, I really enjoyed their Berries & Cream French toast; it was crunchy, moist, warm and all-around delicious. The Service was courteous to your needs, making sure you are not neglected as a customer. And I always liked their indoor decor with the portraits. I will be coming back there soon.

Mel was a fantastic server! My husband and I came in for our anniversary with our two young children. Our drinks came out right away. Mel even brought out our kiddos meal before ours which was amazing. Our dinners were out shortly after. We both had French dips that were to die for! We will be back!

My friend Bree and I went here on Friday night for a few drinks, our server Sam was quick and super friendly. The grapefruit martini is my favorite <3

I went in for lunch and had the most amazing service! The restaurant was busy busy, but no one seemed stressed. The staff was fluttering around and staying on point. Their communication was stellar and the manager was super upbeat in his leadership style. It was awesome! They all worked hard, and beautifully as a team! The food was great, the service was spotless! Hats off to the Wednesday team at the mission location. You nailed it!

We often order lunch for our team at work and Browns Mission always makes our food exactly how we ordered it and never miss a thing!

I was there for Birthday lunch with a friend, our Server didn't know that.

Stopped by here for a bite after a day at Mission Raceway. Ended up ordering the Butcher's Block Burger with a salad. Pretty good burger. Good flavour. The salad was good too.
Our server was great as well.

Ordered for pick up tonight and they made a mistake with my food. The manager fixed it right away and delivered it herself! I’ve been in the industry for years and really appreciated the extra care that was given.

Great day for lunch at Brown's in Mission. Wasn't too busy at noon, food was delicious and came quickly. Server was great.

The service here is so bad it’s laughable. The pre-prepared, pre-packaged food is dreadful. It really captures everything terrible about Mission all at once. What a meme.

We have never been disappointed with the Browns in Mission. It's our go to for take out and the food is always fresh and the buns/fries stay crispy. Best take out in Mission.

Went for lunch here the other day and ordered the Baja fish tacos. I asked the server if there was any other sauce besides the Chipotle aioli because I felt that it was going to be too spicy and she suggested to me a garlic aioli and I said that would be great thank you very much can I get that instead. So when my food arrived I noticed that the garlic aioli was in a little pot on the side and that my fish tacos still have the Chipotle aioli all over them. I bit into one and it was kind of okay. I didn't want to eat the other taco because the first one was way too spicy and I knew that it was going to make me sick and upset my stomach what should I actually ended up doing later in the day.
I didn't really understand why when I made a request to not have the Chipotle aioli on my tacos they were still drizzled if not even more so all over my tacos and the garlic aioli was on the side. In the future when a customer is asking if something is spicy and something is recommended in its place it should be put onto the taco not onto the side or the item that they're asking unless they actually request to have it on the side. I will not be returning to this location.
I also found that the service was a bit of a letdown for the restaurant not being that busy and wished that our server had been a bit more attentive. Also when I ordered my ginger ale my glass came half full and even though it had ice in it it had minimal ice and was warm so I didn't understand what that was about either. Anyways all in all the food was a letdown and I was hugely disappointed in the service here

Good was good value for money.
Music was a little too loud for easy conversation. Waitress was instructed dairy free needed, salad served with cheese, replaced quickly.

Browns has very consistently good food and service. Portions were adequate but took awhile to get the food.even the appetizer.
A bit noisy as well but they did have a large group celebration.

Delicious food, safe dining experience and friendly staff. Everyone loved their meals. Will be back.

Food tastes as good as it looks

Favourite place in mission for a quick happy hour drink and appetizer. Love the atmosphere and the food. The fire table outdoor seating is the best table in the house.

Reliable, fast, clean and the food is always good. We stop in regularly when we don't feel like cooking for the loaded nachos with mole chicken and fire roasted tomato salsa. Super tasty and filling. This is easily a meal for two people.

Tonight we tried the new carrot cake dessert and it was wild. Almost like a bread pudding version of carrot cake. Not mushy or dense, but crunchy on the edges and fluffy insides. Topped with, Whipped Cream Cheese and a side of butterscotch drizzle. This was decadent AF and whoever thought to whip whipping cream and cream cheese needs a raise.

Had a fantastic server! The service was a little slow but that is probably because it was so busy! Had a great cocktail that was grapefruit hibiscus! Defs recommend.

The food is always great, the service is top notch, friendly and attentive just the right balance. Good selection on the menu. It's a favorite place to go to!

It's a Browns, for the most part what I would expect. My service experience at this particular location was pretty poor. Probably wouldn't return.

Sign on the front door says last call is at 10: 30. We arrived well before that. The group of 3 in front of us was seated. 3 empty tables so no problem.

Hostess takes one look at us and says, "We can't seat you. We are closing in a few minutes. " and kept repeating it until we left.

Why my wife and I weren't welcomed to their restaurant while the group in front of us was seated will remain a mystery. Maybe we look too old to be there. Maybe I wore the wrong colour jacket. Perhaps my breath was off. But it stings after supporting this place with our business for the past couple of years.

We used to go here weekly.

Server was awesome even though they were out of noodles for my noodle bowl. Clean restaurant and tasty food. Would go back again.

My husband and I and a good buddie went out for a steak dinner and chose this place!
What a great steak!
Perfect size, cooked med rare the way I like it.

The servers were nice/friendly but it took a while to get everything we ordered. Friend's salad came out missing all the things in it that make it special (dates, corn, edamame, black beans, walnuts, etc). Other friend ordered a side blackened chicken breast but it came out when he was almost finished his meal, at least 20 minutes later. Some other patrons seated over 10 feet away were extremely loud at times making it difficult to hear people sitting across the table.

Drove in from Maple Ridge after calling about how busy they were and if after 8 looks good, get told no problem. Drive there only to be told we close early today so basically get lost.
Apparently restaurants do not need business or support form local loyal customers.
Times must not be as difficult as they cry.
Scott Morrison whom I know since his days in Calgary at a certain restaurant on McLeod Trail.would be appalled by this non character attitude of staff and management.
Restaurant was still half full btw at 840.

I don’t know what is in their gravy but I look forward to it every time. I even dream about it in between.

Not many places can serve a steak properly cooked at the temp you want. At least this time and only time I've been there it was cooked as I asked and wanted.

Staff accommodating friendly. Food arrived quickly. Drinks are good. Food is very good you have to try the ramien soup!

Very quick efficient service, happy hour prices and times (3-6) are the best in the area and very reasonable definitely a good option for after work appies and beverages.

Was OK overall:) It's much like other chains, cactus club, Browns tap & grill, etc.
Great highlights: Food support staff were excellent, on point, attentive and even masked I could see a smile:)
Food for money: Calamari appy, Cowboy salad, blackened chicken on the fettuccine Alfredo, all great!
Improvements: Sauce was bland on the fettuccine Alfredo and the bread was unedible aka rock hard and wouldn't even soak up any sauce: (Cauliflower appy has great spices/flavour but they were too rubbery so not pleasant to eat, and tried as they might fell very short on a good tasting Amaretto sour.
All that said I'd still give them another try and perhaps they'll have read this by then ;)

Great atmosphere, excellent staff and great patio during lockdown. Delicious food every time. Will return.

Browns SocialHouse goes above & beyond for people with dietary/allergenic needs. Just about every restaurant cross contaminates by only using one frier for everything, which would have killed me. They broke out an iron pan just to accommodate me, Shelby is an amazing hostess & the owner saw to it personally that I didn't leave with an empty belly. Professionalism in every aspect, Great food, clean place

During COVID I strongly recommend against visiting this establishment. Personal visit aside (food was not bad, service was not great and borderline rude) - there are little to no COVID protocols being enforced.

- No contact tracing for people who enter their establishment (give name and number of someone from your party)
- out of the ~30-40 clients in their, not a single one wore a mask outside to in (not sure if it is mandatory for people to wear a mask coming in?)
- tables very close together, in some cases not meeting minimum space - even though some are "blocked off as reserved"

My group felt very uncomfortable, and will not be attending again due to lack of consideration and care for others during this time.

2020-10-26: The Manager/Owner has followed up very promptly and directly. I appreciate and respect the thorough review he had performed and the fact that they accepted the issues and identified the cause as being due to being short staffed, which they are correcting. I appreciate the personal response, and will try them again once I receive confirmation the protocols are being enforced and identified issues addressed.

Food is hit and miss, same with the service. Went here a few years ago and waited almost an hour for our food. It has gotten better, but I always remember that experience when I'm deciding where to dine out in Mission.

Great food and service. Calamari were awesome with the halapenos. Love the sauce on the dynamite roll and the prawn throughout the WHOLE roll. AWESOME!

This is my new favourite local. My go to when I want good food and great service. So nice to have a good go to restaurant where the food is fantastic every time

Service was slow. Server didn't remove the menus or the used plates. We had to put them on the table beside us. We were sitting with empty drinks even though the restaurant was only half full. It seemed the servers were more interested in chatting with each other, rather than serving us. The food was ok but nothing to write home about.

Safe bet for a lunch with a group of business associates who would otherwise never find a place to eat. Esthetically pleasing decor; a nice option in Mission.

First time at browns. Our server was amazing. The sound system had a horrible ringing that we couldn't escape. My dinner was a dragon rice bowl. Carrots were way under cooked. The dish was drenched in sauce. Service was a 4 star. Food and atmosphere were a one star.

They had a few ups and downs like all restaurants do, had an experience where the waitress wasnt all too attentive but management was and quickly corrected the behaviour and next time was better, good ambiance and food specials during happy hour

Candace and Courtney! Two great gals who made our experience special. We stopped in on Nov. 14 before the John Mellencamp concert. They were unbelievably busy, but they took the time to chat and welcome us. Professionals in every way and I wanted to thank them for the great service they provided. Hope your boss knows what wonderful staff they have representing the restaurant!
