Broyé Cafe & Bakery (The Owner of Baker and Table)

Unfortunately my Latte was jus so so. It was weak and I was hoping for a real cup for dine in. I like trying the independent coffee shops over chains.
The croissant was delicious! Ambiance was nice and there are several tables suited for 2 to 4 people.
$14 for Late, Croissant and a tip

I'm in love with their decorations as well as the food. Croissant and breads don't really taste like Viet but it doesn't matter at all.
The beverage's sweetness (tried a few kinds except coffee) is perfectly balanced to me but if you're a sweet lover, consider asking for more sugar.

I tried the banh Mi combo which is $11.95 before tax. The quality is good and the price is reasonable. One thing to pay attention to is that when you purchase anything from this store, the POS machine by default selects 20% of tips, if you just tap and go, you are paying 20% extra.

The food and coffee are delicious, with a tranquil atmosphere. A good place to can talk and share

Ordered mochi-croissants on delivery, and the flavours are beautiful. I got salted egg yolk, Vietnamese coffee, ube, and matcha.

Eat these fresh! The softness of the mochi complements the flaky / crunchiness of the croissant really well, and the cream adds the perfect touch of sweetness

A little heavy on the bread to filling ratio in the banh mi, but the flavour is very solid

I'm actually disappointed. Got melon pan from the "new" broye, who used to be baker and table. It seems they changed hands a while ago, but says they kept the same recipes (though now says to be a vietnamese japanese fusion). Except what they sold at nikkei are NOT authentic melon pan. The yuzu strawberry melon pan I bought had a lopsided sloppy crust, and it was literally an explosion of JUICE inside. Whatever actually made it into my mouth instead of on the floor, it tasted like watered down yuzu juice. The mochi cookie was similar to a flavourless dry sugar cookie.there was no chewy mochi texture (or flavour). My husband and I couldn't even finish either. Authentic melon pan from Japan does NOT have liquid inside. This used to be my favourite authentic melon pan place when it was owned by the sweet japanese woman but now I'm avoiding it since it went so far downhill. There are other decent melon pan bakeries around Vancouver and I'd recommend them instead.

Amazing Vietnamese coffee. I recently travelled to Vietnam and this place has it down. They have plenty of milk alternatives which I really appreciated. The owner himself was very attentive to brief me on their coffee drinks and give some recommendations.

The melonpans are so adorable! I got the Totoro and Pikachu and they were too cute to eat! Overall a great experience. Very cozy and cute place to have a snack with friends.

I went here with my friend in the weekend. The coffee is great and delicious “Banh Mi”. Highly recommend this place.

This place has the best melon pans I've ever had in BC.

Everything about the melon pan is perfect. The crust on top is crunchy thick and not too sweet. The bread is a classic japanese bun. Side note: crust is flavoured usually corresponding to the flavours inside.

Cream inside is probably what sets it apart from other melon pans. There is mochi seamlessly combined with custard cream which is expertly flavored. They have matcha, chocolate, European cream, pumpkin, London Fog, sesame, Yuzu cheesecake flavors. They also have special flavors depending on the season.
The sugar they use is extraaa sparkly.

The great thing about this place is that it's a bakery and they bake all the buns in-house. Don't expect the Buns to be warm or straight out the oven however, since most of the buns they sell have been cooled down to room temperature. They do not reheat or toast for you.they have a drink menu as well thier matcha latte is quite delicious and has a strong matcha flavor (Not creamy, but strong).

They have free Wi-Fi here and they have desk, chairs and benches. There is probably two or three outlets that you could use in the entire Bakery. People study here.the decor is really nice they have a mural that has a super cute dog image.the biggest con with this Bakery is that it SEEMS to have poor ventilation, so for some reason it gets really really hot and stuffy. Or maybe it's some other reason but it can get stuffy? Idk.

Another con is at its gets very loud I'm not sure if it's due to the conversations of certain people or if it's because noise is amplified.but compared to other cafes and bakeries and coffee shops it was very loud. I had my earphones in with music playing but it was still too hard for me to get any work done (I'm the type that usually get work done in slightly noisy cafes).

they re did some interiors and the decor looks much better and modern! Beautiful wooden accents and origami cranes. A trendy spot for young people. It's still not well ventilated and hot sometimes. Maybe when the ovens on to bake the big batches?

They offer more savoury items like chicken banh mi. The bread and flavours vary based on who's preparing it! Inconsistencies pull it down a star as sometimes the bread is fresh and crispy and soft and other times it's over toasted and hard which reduces the chewiness of french -viet baguettes. The soy sauce is a little garlicky. I'm pretty disappointed that none of my banh mi has pate and jalapenos! Also they forget to add cucumbers sometimes. So some banh mi have no cucmbers.) : Sometimes if I ask they will add jalapenos in but if I forget then there's none.

Prices of macaroons kinda high. Cakes taste great, better than Becca down the street.

Their matcha lava cake lives up to the hype + the staff is extremely friendly! I need to come back to try their Oreo melon pan which was sold out this time around ️

Very friendly service, clean and relaxing environment. Food and drinks were delicious. We tried the egg coffee and nau special and both were great! Definitely coming back!

Ordered the Matcha Tiramisu cake at Baker and Table more than 5 times. Ordered it again after the switch to Broye and it tasted.dare I say terrible? I was very disappointed. We did not finish the cake which is a waste considering the price. The craftmanship of the cake was also below satisfactory. I wont be ordering here again as it ruined a birthday.if you are going to order from them, make sure to ask to spell out happy birthday as they only wrote "HBD" on ours. Oh and the name was spelt incorrectly too.

I cannot recommend this bakery enough. We have ordered from here multiple times, and every single time the service has been amazing and the mochi buns are fantastic. Just today I placed an order via uber eats, and unfortunately one of the mochi buns was missed when it was packaged up. We called the bakery directly and an employee delivered the missing bun plus some extra goodies out himself.

Previously we have ordered and they have been out of stock of particular buns- they always call and ask what we'd like for a replacement.

I love this bakery, and we will continue to be loyal customers.

Great variety of fresh baked made sandwiches (banh mi) and desserts for a fair price! There is no where better in the lower mainland to get "melonpan": a Japanese lightly sweet bun with a thin cookie-like crust. Several flavors and fillings throughout the day, but they sell fast. Their coffee is truly authentic Vietnamese coffee with many choices from traditional to trendy drinks which are very delicious.
Open 7 days a week with an open casual atmosphere.

Very disappointing experience overall.

The Ube latte was the highlight of the entire meal. The food and melon pan/coffee combo is more expensive than ordering separately and if you choose a 16oz drink, you have to pay extra. The vegan curry udon was very runny and had tiny bits of veggies and 2 measly carrots. The bahn mi tasted ok but there was barely any meat. The melon pans looked mutated and were expensive and bland. Not to mention the dirty tables and flies and daddy long legs in the washroom…

Try the egg coffee caphe trung. It's delicious, rich, and perfectly made. They have lots of adorable buns and the owner is really nice!

Best Vietnamese coffee in town, best pastries and a excellent breakfast. 100% recommend Broyé Cafe. Oh and the staff, all very friendly.

Not gonna lie, I miss the old baker and table and their simplistic menu and interior.but broyé is great too.just miss the og.loving the fun, gorgeous, and bright interior! They've reopened with new drinks as well, their ube hazelnut latte (gasps) so good.too bad the taro is powdered though.been my go-to study and hangout spot since my freshman year.great food and vibes, lots of great seating! Customer service is also great, the employees are sweet and friendly:)

Tastes great. My kid got the Pikachu bun. She finished it all wouldn't let me have any. Definitely will order in the future.

Food was great, coffee is great.

Really loud for a cafe atmosphere. Staff was very busy they completely forgot my order while I was waiting for 10 minutes on the side. Until I asked someone, they finally started making it. Slightly disappointed as Baker and Table had a lot better service.

Super tasty coffee, so much different from Vietnamese restaurants I have tried! Their Japanese mochibun is a must try when you come to this cute coffee. It was very busy when I came but service was quick and friendly.

My favorite coffee spot every Sat. Everything is simply the best. Coffee, Pastries, banh mi, savories, oh staffs are so nice. Their Vietnamese coffee (with condense milk) they call Nau is soooo good, full of coffee aroma, taste are balance and smooth.

Very delicious authentic Vietnamese coffee! Owner is very nice, love the story he shared about the egg coffee and his journey to set up the first Vietnamese Coffee shop in Vancouver! The atmosphere is pleasant and has very good energy inside. My kids love their Hello Kitty bun very much. I will definitely come back!

My second time here and definitely I will come back. I always come here with my sisters and we love everything.
It was my first time trying Whipped Yuzu Ade today and let me tell you it was delicious, and refreshing. It reminds me one of my childhood drink back home in Vietnam. They have a huge variety of drinks and snacks. A mix of Japanese and Vietnamese. You can find most of vietnamese desserts here.
The owner is always super friendly and nice. I didn’t catch his name. He gave us a free Ube Cake today to try for the first time. It’s slightly sweet and very spongy. It’s coming soon in the store so stay tuned!

The staff, prices, food, drinks, and decoration everything is great! Drink menu is so unique, can't find their drinks anywhere else.

Great food and coffee. Service is very slow some days. Just waited 15 minutes for a latte with only one customer ahead of me.

Dunno why ppl like this shop so much. Cartoons are like mutated and I’m no sure if the owners have got the copyrights or not. Buns are too expensive and have no tastes at all.

The floor & tables are smelly. They dun manage the hygiene well.

Pretty good coffee and the bakery offers a variety of sweet and savory items to choose from.
