Bubble World

There are quite a few seats in the store and there is only one waiter ~ there is also one at the bar. Fortunately there are not many people haha
Food part:
- Salty crispy chicken $10.95: Wow, the meat is fresh and tender and the chicken skin is fried. The portion is similar to the one sold in T&T but it is 5 yuan more expensiveIt is still delicious but a bit expensive
- Beef tendon, brisket and eggplant clay pot rice $16.5: When it was served, I discovered that the sauce tasted exactly like the mushroom sauce of Taiwan night market steak! It’s the same cooking bag. The beef tendon and brisket are quite tender, but the same.so expensive and so small
-Add set meal for $2: It turns out it’s just two small dishesnot worth it.

Overall, it's a bit expensive and the portion is small, but the taste is okay.

I had the simmered egg with tomato stock and chicken and oh my goodness it taste exactly the same 15 years ago. Really good flavor and huge portion too. A must try!

Great food, meal portions are generous.restaurant is clean and we received great service from Eva every time we visit.

The food is so so. The chairs and tables need to be renovated. In this area, there are too many other restaurants can be chosen.
And. Will be better.

We were seated quickly, but I noticed my chair had crumbs on it before I sat down. Later on I noticed that the workers just wipe the tables, but don’t wipe the chairs as well.

Our drinks and food came quickly. The amount of chicken nuggets for the salt and peppery chicken nuggets makes it worth it.

When I asked one of the workers for a box to pack my chicken nuggets, she said sure and it had been five minutes without her coming back with the box. I noticed in those five minutes she kept doing other tasks, but I felt like my request was super easy because when I asked the other worker, she literally took five seconds to grab a box and gave it to me.

Kitchen crazy slow. Deep fried mushrooms w/too much seasoning, needs 2 jugs of water to balance. Baaad Squash in the hot pot.

This is my fav spot but lately the pearls aren’t good anymore. It use to be soft and chewy throughout, now it’s slightly hard in the center. I also had a takoyaki and it wasn’t crispy either (normally it is). Also had Squid feet and fish cakes they were normal.

Ordered a chicken dish for take out. When I opened the box…the portion was so tiny that I thought I mistakenly took other tables left over to go I’m never, ever going back.

The bubbles are still great, just the ice cream part of the ice cream slush seems to be lacking in taste compared to their old version. Not sure what, but it was a bit off compared to their usual high standards.

Staff are really nice, friendly and fast. Came here a several times and they all really busy but their staff still keep their smiles on their face. Price is average, kinda good deal for dinner but not really interested with their bubble tea!

Horrible service. Male staff on the floor was constantly putting us off to go to another table (3 times) and this wasn’t out of necessity as we were always the first ones to do so. Placed an order in, meal never came even after 40 minutes of waiting, even after asking to follow this up. Dude had the audacity to come to me afterwards rushing us off to ask how I’d like to pay.

I never write reviews even if the food is horrible but this is not even edible. So burnt to the point is so bitter! So salty and dry! I’m extremely upset! How can this place let the food be made like this? This is ridiculous.

Visited for a quick bbt fix and got a peach milk tea - it was really good. Though i wasn’t asked for ice/sugar levels, it tasted good for my liking. Also got a Oreo bubble waffle and salty chicken nuggets- both were really good. Reasonably priced menu with other food items on menu and definitely going back.

Went for a take out but decided to dine in and the service was good. It was close to their closing time but they didn’t rush us.

My first bubble tea ever was Bubble world. The drinks always tastes the same, just as I remembered. I love it! It’s one of my favorite places.

My girlfriend brought me here. I thoight it was going to be a standard bubble tea place but it was also a full service restaurant. Dine in or take out is in place.

Food is Chinese with full meals and snacks and a pretty impressive BBT menu with all the fixings you would want. They do ice and sugar levels which is always nice.

We had chicken nuggets, Chinese pancake with beef roll, and taro bubble tea. All were excellent.

Service was good the location was clean. Oddly they were playing 90's to 2000s songs, like the cranberries which ibalso enjoyed.

Practically forcing and expecting you to pay for this certain percentage of tips with a terrible attitude throughout my time dining there

This shop has been here for about 20 years, start with bubble tea only and now also serving food. I pass by today and bought a bubble tea, the menu selection they have stays same as 20 years ago, which would be a bit out dated compare to a lot of new shops, still taste good though, but I would prefer others than them.

Love it here! The food is pretty good, but not as good as before. Their bubble tea is really good honestly, and they have a pretty HUGE menu. This place doesn’t really need reservations.

Food taste very good and hot when its served. Service very friendly. My favorite is the Five Spice Beef in Chinese Pancake. Pancake very crispy.

I wouldn't get their food. It's pretty bland compared to other taiwanese dishes I've had. Bubble Tea would make more sense.

It was good. I like the personal hot pot. Lots of options to choose from on the menu so it covers most asian things one craves.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Service was absolutely horrible, tables around us were being served and noone ever paid any attention to our table that was right in the middle of the place. We had to ask numerous of times for water, when their answer was "yes just a moment". Our bubble teas took about 40 minutes after being told it may take up to 15 minutes. When it came to paying, we paid in cash an no change was given, I had to ask for the change. "But you didn't leave tip" was their answer. Absolutely not. I am not leaving a nickel. Horrible place.

Open late nights so it's a great hangout spot. Bubble tea is pretty good too but I don't believe they have the natural flavors.

Good food. They have some vegetarian options available. Staff are not that polite, but its okay:)

Waited for 15min and the waitress tells us she forgot to put in our order. I'm guessing it's because the waitresses spend a lot of time standing around chatting. It then took another 25min for all the food to arrive. I don't know how that happened, seeing as the restaurant was half empty at the time. I saw others sitting around with empty tables as well.

Overall the food was alright. However, the salt pepper chicken was very full of skin, and a lot of the pieces were just greasy bites of coating. It didn't feel worth the price.

I would not recommend coming here if you are already hungry and need food quickly

Good price and nice chewy bubbles. I had taro with oreo slushy. Don't plan on being hungry for a while after.

Yummy food. Ordered squid leg deep fried and beef. Wide variety of bubble tea. Staff doesn't seem to check if we want to start to order tho.

I'm a big fan of this chain, and this place doesn't disappoint. Excellent food like the beef noodle soup and the chinese 5 spice pancake. Quick service and a wide variety of drinks. A great place that offers consistently "Good" quality food drinks and snacks all in one place. Very convenient.

Less seating than other locations so call ahead or be prepared to wait a little bit outside.

Looks like a cool place, but slow. Took 15 minutes to make a bubble milk tea.which wasn't what we ordered.

Great first time experience. The staff were friendly and let us know how our food are. Plus they prepared my father-in-law's dish with no salt as requested. If you like sour beverages, try the Green Paradise.

Girl took our order and we waited almost an hour before finding out she forgot to put our order in the computer and went on break. When another waitress told her what had happened, she laughed while eating.

Food and drinks came too slow even when not busy. Food were decent but needed a little magic touch to be authentic Taiwanese food.

We ordered fried pork chop rice for takeout, the meat was hard as rock and salty, the side dishes as well! Won't go back again for sure!

Service person, a girl, was very rude. She was not patient to recommend or entertain inquiries about certain dishes on the menu. She missed serving a dish or two. Claims that the dishes were coming when we overheard her callng in the orders just then. She also has the gall to confront our table about the tip we left when in fact, it was not deserving at all.

This place is terrible. I came into the restaurant and put my name down for one person with a couple waiting in front of me. There are two seater and 4 seaters open. They gave the couple a 2 seater seat and I was left waiting for another two seater seat. While waiting for my seat they put a family of 3 who came after me a 4 seater seat. I asked them why they can’t give the couple a 4 seater seat and give me the 2 seater seat. They said it is the policy. I pointed to other 4 seater seats with only 2 people in there and ask why they can do this. They said too bad the couple already seat down at the two seaters so they cant move. This is really bad experience. Such a yummy place with such a bad attitude.

I frequent this place because it closes later than most places in Richmond (1am) and if you play your cards right you can get a good bubble tea. Food is adequate at best, but at midnight, any snack item will do.
The main issue I've had here on multiple occasions is a communication gap with the waitresses - like many Taiwanese restaurants, they understand little to no English. We asked the waitress if a certain hot drink item came in a mug or a teapot, and the waitress just points at the menu and says "$5". When she brought us our orders she just slapped it on the table without bothering to tell us what we ordered or who it was for. To be fair, the recommended tip is 10% so I'm not expecting any fantastic service in the first place. I also understand it's difficult to learn English as a second language in a city like Richmond so I appreciated that she tried to speak English with us as well.

I ordered a spicy hot pot (pork) which costs $13.50. I read the ingredients from the menu and it didn't say that it comes with pig intestine (i believe) and pig's blood. I was disappointed with the food because it did not taste good at all. Also, the servers weren't very attentive to the customers (us). For this reason, I was not planning on paying more than what the actual cost of the food, but then the server AUTOMATICALLY added $1.50 tips on top of my total cost, adding up to $15.95. She claimed that it was "after tax", but after tax the food should only cost $ 14.18. Because of this experience I WILL NOT COME BACK TO THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN.

Hold on, this is the Richmond location. I absolutely love this place with a passion. I don't care if it's a franchise because everyone here is amazing. The front of house, the chefs, everyone. They are always so good.

Me and my friends used to come here once a week every week for a couple of years. We used to be pretty good regulars. And honestly it used to be a blast coming in to have them notice we're back again.

Honestly, if you have the ability to, is recommend this bubble world over every other one here. Always has seats, and always consistent whether it's the service or the food, it's always. ALWAYS good.
