Great help after my catalytic converter was stolen from my car, got me back on the road quietly with great service and low cost.

Adam and the crew at Budget Brake & Muffler have been nothing but courteous, honest, and efficient when it comes to the diagnostics and repairs that I have needed over the past several years with different vehicles. My latest visit required the replacement of 2 control arms and wheel bearings. Great experience getting some routine maintenance done, staff are efficient and on point. Finding a honest mechanic is challenging. Any car concerns be sure to stop in.

I had my vehicle serviced here in February’s and was very impressed with Adam and his team. If your looking for a honest shop I’d highly recommend this location, They will give you a price on how much the work order/job is gonna cost you ahead of time and will stay in contact via phone call or text message if anything changes.

After I left my vehicle there for the day to repair a hole in my exhaust Adam noticed certain parts on the car that were worn out and he gave me the option to fix it if I wanted. He sent photos of certain things that were worn out on the car and always asking if I’d like to get it repaired. He did not just repair it without asking me which I respect a lot! Over all Adam and his team is a great hard working honest team. Adam stayed in contact with me through out the process. He even went ahead and fixed a couple of loose heat shield in the engine bay for me so no more rattling.

Very fair price for time spent on a brake inspection to diagnose what I thought was a brake related noise. They took everything apart and said components all looked good and were working fine and safely - no work needed, didn’t try to sell me unnecessary repairs or parts. Adam and Mike were very helpful, with great service from the whole team from reception to technicians. Great experience - will be back as needed and would recommend.

It's hard to find a mechanic you can trust but I found that in Adam. He never upsells you on stuff your car doesn't need.

My old Toyota's backlighting on the dash had an intermittent defect for years. I took it to Toyota a bunch of times and mentioned it. They said there was nothing wrong with it. Then it finally gave up the ghost entirely. Toyota said it was very complicated to remove the dash and fix, hundreds of dollars, and that it wouldn't really be worth the trouble.

After that I couldn't drive it at night because I couldn't see my own speed or the fuel gage or anything after dark.

In this time a friend recommended Budget on Barnet. I dropped it there for basic maintenance - oil change etc - and when handing it back Adam said "oh, by the way, I noticed your dash light was out so I fixed it. "

Just like that. Didn't even charge. He said it only took a second.

Never went to Toyota again.

Obviously they don't normally do work without checking first, and they call and quote you before going ahead with anything, but if there's something they can fix in a second without it costing much of anything they just do it and mention it casually on check out.

They also help you triage your repairs. "Such and such is wearing out and will probably need to be replaced next year, but it isn't urgent" vs "well, it can wait a little while but it's going to need to be addressed soon" vs "we can't legally let you drive it out of here like that. "

And they stand by their work too. Once I had some major brake work done. Pricey stuff. I think it was done by a new employee. Then the brakes failed two days after we got it back. We ended up stranded and had to call BCAA. Had it towed back to Budget. We were pretty mad.

Adam called and said one thing and it defused us instantly. "Yeah.sorry. "

The work was re-done, no charge, and we were offered loaner.

. And maybe this is unrelated but I never saw that new hire again after that.

When my Mazda's head lamp busted, and Adam got quoted hundreds from Mazda for the part we needed, he told me to give him 24-48 hours first. He reasoned that there were plenty of this model sitting around in scrap yards so he wanted to make some calls. In 24 hours he had the part.

Point is, this is an honest shop run by an honest and knowledgeable guy. His employees are cheerful, personable, and competent, and they quickly learn your face if your cars are as old and in need of constant service as mine are.

So yeah. Go to Budget.

Adam gave me an in-depth explanation regarding my car's maintenance issues. He did what was necessary at a reasonable price. He also helps me to figure out an issue with my tires which is a big help for my driving safety. I highly recommend Adam's service at Budget Brake & Muffler Auto Centres!

This business will absolutely be my new 'go-to place' for auto repairs. I was very flustered and clueless with my ongoing ICBC claim; however, Adam was able to swoop in and help me with everything! I had my catalytic converter stolen and another shop repaired the damages.unfortunately, the repair was incomplete due to the other shop missing some additional damage. Adam was patient, genuine, and really took the time to explain what was going on with my vehicle. Additionally, Adam was able to contact ICBC via email to help support me with my claim. After visiting Adam's shop, my vehicle was running exactly the way it was before the theft. Lastly, when I picked up my vehicle, Adam and his team, vacuumed and washed it for me upon arrival.how wonderful is that? I am so thankful for the time and support. Thank you again, Adam!

I brought my car here and was very happy with my experience. Adam was extremely helpful the whole way through. I own a 1969 Lincoln Continental Mark lll that needed service dealing with many issues. I went to many shops, just to be turned away due to its age. They are a one stop shop for all cars new & old.

Brought the car in do get an engine coolant leak diagnosed. They claim (!) they pressure tested it and fixed a "loose clamp" on the radiator hose (an area I had checked prior myself, and now "nothing is leaking anymore". As soon as I drive off the lot it is still leaking, radiator is empty after less than 50k, so not a small leak.
Go to another place, pressure test in my presence (!) and coolant is gushing out in a completely different area of the system. No way they ever pressure tested the truck in the first place or this would have been easily noticed.
Can't trust these people.

I've been going to Budget B&M for several years now. I've been having a few problems with my car lately as we're both getting old. I'm a single, older female and I have trust issues when it comes to anyone with my car. I'm happy to say I've finally found someone that takes good care of "us" and doesn't over charge me for it. Adam and his team of experts in Coquitlam, have fixed so many aspects of my car, from transmission, to air-conditioning.not to mention tires battery. I love my 2004 Chrysler Concorde! It's such a comfortable and pleasant car to drive (Adam says it's like driving a comfy couch), but they are complicated and very difficult vehicles to work on. This costs more in parts (that always has to come from the USA), and more time consuming to repair. Adam has spent hours of extra labour he did not charge me for, due to the extensive and costly repairs I have had done in less than a six month period. Adam has nearly replaced or fixed everything but the engine! Adam and his crew have the expertise, good nature, stellar customer service, and pure love of cars, that has not only turned me into a devout and loyal customer. I consider him a trusted friend. Take your vehicle to him for any problem. (even on Saturdays) and you can sleep easy knowing your vehicle is in good hands. I won't take my car anywhere else. Big Rip of Scammers and lowest quality of workman ship I have ever incountered especially at 13788,104 Ave in Surrey.
$1,400 to have my brakes and rotors done, then I had to return 3 different times, because of brake squeeling, because of the low quality pads they tried to cheap out on, but I got charged for top quality pads, finely on my 3 Rd return they put some kind of gue to stop the squeeling. Well you have not made one customer at a time happy. I would also STRONGLY recommend that any customer who needs brakes consider other places, unless you want to get RIPED OFF.

Called to price out having the tires replaced. Already had the tires. Was told a price, then he said plus tax. I thought it was a fair deal so I sent my wife over to get her tires changed. When I saw the bill it was more than what I was told on the phone. There was an added "shop supplies" of $13 plus tax. I went in to discuss this as i think it is dishonest to have hidden costs. He was polite enough, but I new within 10 seconds he could care less.
There are at least 4 or 5 other options in the area I will going to from now on. Not sure it is good business sense.
If you do decide to go, make sure you ask for all costs. They might arbitrarily add on anything they want for "shop supplies"

We normally deal with The White Rock Location and have had nothing but great service and Fair Prices. We Dropped off our new Mercedes Sprinter at the Port Moody location to get the Front Brake pads replaced. 4 hours later the Van was complete. With the front and rear pads and Rotors Replaced and a bill for $1750. This is $500 more than what the dealership quoted us. When confronted about this he said, " I never said I would be Cheaper than the dealership". Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.

There is something to be said about mechanic (s) that can talk to you about your cars issues as opposed to "this what you need because I said so".
