Budget Brake & Muffler Auto Centres

I know how to do my own repairs but I never have the time. Budget Brake and Muffler Langley has always been truthful with what needs repairs and have always been fairly priced. Been going there for years. See Andy. Solid guy.

Had a rattle - asked them to look at my brakes - next thing I know I “needed” all new callipers, all new everything “. $6000
Took it to another place - brakes are fine

I'm going to leave my original review but change my stars from 2 to 4 as I'm happy with the following up from this. Shortly after leaving the review I received a phone call to discuss and follow up on my concerns which I thought was honorable. Further to that, I started to smell fumes after getting the car back so I called again to bring that up. They took the car back, addressed the issue at no charge, and made sure my car had the oil change sticker and oil life light reset this time. Although the initial experience left a bad taste in my life, the fact there was follow up with an attempt to make things right goes a long way.

First time customer, wouldn't go back, here's my feedback:

The good:

- Pricing seemed reasonable
- Got me in quick

The bad:

- Oil change performed, however oil change maintenance life wasn't reset on the car, still shows 40%
- New oil change sticker on the window wasn't added, maybe not a thing here? If so, i recommend you guys add it.
- Car had an oil change, serpentine belt, oil gasket cover, and some tail lights replaced and it was there for almost 2 full business days
- Communication was poor, I had to call multiple times to request updates
- Was advised to come between 1-1: 30 to pickup vehicle, showed up at 1: 45 and it still wasn't ready, had 3 people staring inside the hood still trying to get a belt on. I felt like I was being given the run around and wasn't really being told the full story
- During payment, he advised me he was taking off some of the fees since the AC recharge couldn't be done since the compressor was bad. Still tried to charge me the initial quote, but I noticed the amount and then he took it off. Oops?
- Nothing about my experience would make me want to back here.

It was obvious my brakes needed repair and having zero mechanical knowledge I had no idea how bad they were. My intention was to wait for awhile before doing the necessary repairs however the folks at Budget explained that if I waited the cost of the repairs would more than likely increase significantly.

I explained that the reason I was waiting was because I didn’t have the money until my next payday. They were extremely accommodating allowing me to spread out the payments because it was so important to get them done right away.

Even though it was very short notice, one day, Sam and his team booked me in immediately for the repairs the next day. I dropped the car off in the morning. They called me to let me know the exact cost before beginning any repairs and I picked up the car at the end of the day, repairs completed and safe to drive once again.

Staff was very polite, professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. I will not hesitate to go back to Budget for any other repairs I might need.

Brought my Toyota in for exhaust issues. Dealer would have been much more expensive. Car was repaired and problems solved! Would highly recommend. Thank you, Dominic!

A/C in my vehicle wasn’t working and I called Budget Brake and Muffler this morning. Dominic answered and said to come right over.took me in right away (even though they were busy) and he had it fixed with in half hour! Excellent friendly service! Thank you
