I brought my Audi s4 in for a new exhaust setup and I’m extremely happy with the service here by Dakota would definitely recommend Budget Brake & Muffler, Harley at the front desk was also super helpful. My car sounds amazing thanks guys!

I called Harley early Monday morning to see if I could get my truck in (The exhaust fell off!). As they just had a cancellation moments before, he was able to book me in THAT DAY and fixed it up perfectly (about 4inches of new pipe, and 2 new mounts all welded up)! And the best part? It was only $180.

Excellent quality and best price. I have got my oil changed and tires changed else where and ended up paying alot more and waited alot longer. Budget has great customer service, they are super friendly and don't over charge. I will always take my vehicles there.

Dakota did an awesome job on my Lexus SC400. He made me a fully custom exhaust that sounds amazing. If you’re looking for repairs/service on your car this is the spot!

Brought in my old 55 F100 that I had just bought and had not been on the road in many years. Got the 1968 302 running but only with headers and 12" bottle mufflers, super loud and not a great sound. After looking at the room to run tailpipes with a fuel cell between the frame rails in the rear of the truck and the low stance a plan was hatched to run the exhaust thru the running boards with square tips. Dakota picked out the mufflers. The truck sounds awesome and the exhaust exits outside the truck. The work passed all my expectations and anyone in Vernon that has heard the truck would agree. Next it was time for tires, got a great price and with some coaching from Dakota who is a true car guy put the raised white lettering out. That added to the true stock car/moonshine vibe of the 55. Love it. Highly recommend Vernon Budget Brake and Muffler, and of course Harley and Dakota to help you with your vision of your cool ride.

Harley and his crew are amazing. I took an issue back to the shop expecting to have to pay for the repair as I wasnt sure what caused a repeat failure of the serpentine belt tensioning system. When I went to pick it up Harley said that it was all done on warrantee including the labor charge. Now I didnt realize this could be done under warrantee, Harley did some research and found that their was an issue in the past with a specific part on this tensioner system and got all the work done under a warrantee. What a nice surprise when you are expecting hundreds of dollars in repairs. Thank you Harley and your crew at Budget Brake and Muffler Vernon BC. Dakota has done an excellent job on my custom 3” exhaust with dual electric cut outs on my 70 Chevelle SS. Sounds killer and nicely tucked up so I don’t bottom out anymore! I would recommend his services to everyone!

Brought my top of the line 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt with a state of the art turnkey style ignition system to this fine establishment and was greeted at the door by Harley's smiling face. They took care of all my alignment and TPMS concerns same day! Excellent service. Great prices!

Dakota is the best he helped me with my 65 Corvette stingray. He actually helped me on a Sunday while I was out cruising. It was during fire season and I was moving the car to get out of the way of fires and I had an issue he fixed it on the side of the road and followed me home to make sure I was safe and then I met him later and he worked at budget right now I want to take all my vehicles there just because he's such a stand-up guy. I took my bed and last Friday all the lifts had classics on them so it's not just me that trust this young man with their most prized possessions he has a very good reputation in town. Thank you for all you do there's a good team in this location.

We bought the winter tires and rims from them back in October and we’re given a very reasonable price. It was time to switch out the tires and get an oil change and went back to them as my vehicle was serviced on the mainland for 30+ years and felt I should give this location a try. Service all good. Was disappointed they charged me for the change out given I bought the tires there, advised them of my loyalty to the company, plus storing my tires there. They did advise I needed new front brakes which I also did. It won’t deter me from getting my vehicle serviced there as the mark up on parts reasonable and labour costs are also reasonable.

Took vehicle in for brake check because sounded like pads was rubbing got slapped with 2000$ bill for hub assembly, suspension coil bushings and sway link bar with a wheel alignment. Drove it next day after work and has worse noises then before and pulls hard to the right.

Took vehicle back in Friday to get a hub assembly put on drives side since the employer told me it was the driver's side last time and saw that it got placed on passagers side. Only supposed to be a hour to fix. Called them 2hrs later and was told the part didn't need replacing so they decided to pull my transfer case and drive shaft a long with other stuff. Employer said they went out of their way to find what was going on and should changer my review. 1 day later found out my E brake was disconnected after whatever they did. 3 days later I took my suv to a GM service, within 30mins they showed me that my driver's CV axle was loose. Fixed it. Guess what no noise. Never going back to Budget brake and muffler. Should of guessed with the newspaper blocking the windows so you can't watch them work it would be a money grabbing place.

Very limited mechanical knowledge, poor in-house communication. Have had multiple disappointing interactions, would not recommend. Brought in car knowing what the issue was, 10 minutes before my appointment that i waited 5 days for i was told a bunch of other stuff was wrong and it was a whole day job. Took it home and did what i suggested they try, fixed the problem completely in an hour in my driveway, no other problems. These people didn't know that it was already in for inspection and was tip top. This is the kinda stuff people are terrified to deal with, why mechanics have such a shifty name now.

I got a quote to have the exhaust on my truck replaced, really simple from the headers back and out the side. Was told it would be 700 max. 3 months later I decided to get it done, now they told me 1000. I told the guy I wanted it quieter than it currently is. Paid the bill and picked it up after work. It's much louder! I called the next day to find out why and he said I told him I wanted it louder. I asked him what we can do about making this right and he told me for the price of 2 new mufflers and labour he would be happy to change them. I also measured the pipe they used and was overcharged. The guy wasn't professional at all and didn't seem to care about customer satisfaction what so ever. I will definitely not be going back and will be informing everyone I know to stay away!

Harley at the counter was professional, accommodating and courteous. Jordan, the mechanic reviewed the situation with the brakes in detail and offered a reasonable solution. The job was completed quickly.

Dakota installed a muffler that I supplied and did an awesome job with the installation on my Ram 1500. I got a chance to view the underside while up on the hoist and it was damn fine work! Truck is sounding great and I'll definitely be back for future work

Brought a bone stock vehicle to these guys and was treated like a street racer, to the point of failing the vehicle for systems that do not fail here in British Columbia (I am also a licensed inspector just not working professionally in the industry due to zero standards across shops, techs, and auditors). They decided to fail the vehicle for miniscule reasons like tire pressure monitoring lamp on. Geez, I got a flat tire repaired there too, maybe related? But to illustrate the inept technician, they did not find the failed control arm I had left unrepaired, for them to find so I would not have failures made up due to inexperienced and insecure technicians. Don't bring your vehicle to this place for anything beyond oilchanges or a quick muffler swap. Backwater and hillbilly is the order of the day here

My husband and I can't say enough wonderful things about Eric at Budget Brake & Muffler in Vernon. He's always looking out for the customer first. He's helped us numerous times with our 2 vehicles over the years, even when other shops made mistakes! Thanks Eric!

Great customer service, unfortunately during my brake inspection they completely missed that my brake booster was broken.
They in fact told me my brakes were fine, and that " that's just the way your car brakes".
Brakes still malfunctioning I took the car to another mechanic.they found my booster at fault, problem now fixed.
That could have been an accident.so I won't be trusting them in the future.they've lost our family business.

Excellent customer service. I came in with a muffler I got from Amazon, asked them to flair it up to fit my existing pipes. FREE service. Then. I came in a day later cuz I realized I messed up and they made me a FREE reducer pipe for the one end.
Made me a future customer.

Laziest muffler guys ever told me they could not find a 2 1/2" donut in all of Vernon told me I was out of luck went to Lordco on the way home and picked one up they said they checked everywhere including Lordco well guys thanks for wasting my time, never would I recommend these guys go anywhere else except Lumby

My Son just bought a 1998 Toyota 4 runner and had some problems on his way out from Calgary. His Muffler was leaking and needed help so i called Eric and he was Fantastic getting us in the next day and the Guys fixed his exhaust. Then the CV axle acted up so once again i called and Eric and the Guys fixed the joints and an electrical problem to allow my Son to get home safely with a tight 4 runner! Thanks Guys Awesome Job!

We took our 2010 ford escape in for an out of province inspection and could not have been happier. After a terrible experience when going through this process in Alberta the team at Budget Brake & Muffler Auto Center renewed our faith in great service and honest mechanics. They had upfront pricing and explained everything that needed to be done in a way that was easy to understand. They also provided a courtesy ride to my wife who had to go back and forth from work to get the car. If you want a wheel alignment I would more than strongly recommend you take your vehicle here. Justin asked me two questions. What do you use the car for and what’s your driving style? I said entertainment and probably mostly NASCAR. I spent weeks on this build and they took my unwieldy machine and made it a race car. They even helped me correct a couple deficiencies free of charge. Thanks guys (and girl).

Eric literally saved us this weekend by being able to get our vehicle in after having our truck break down on the way out from Alberta. Rolled in to Vernon for supplies to continue our epic 3 week camping trip only to find we had blowen the front engine gasket. Called in for an appointment and got one for 4pm. Went to drop the truck off at 1pm as I had nothing else to do. And the work was finished by 330. This alone would be great but as I left town and headed back out for adventure I blew my fan belt. I called on Devon and his crew once more and he had a tow truck on its way to pick us up. If you need a service shop that has customer service that goes to 11 these guys have you covered.
