I went in to see these guys for a flex pipe repair on my car. The quote was $280 plus taxes. (1.5hours) labour, I thought that was high so I phoned back and asked if they could do any better. The fella said no. Thank goodness cause I called Midas & the only charged me $189 taxes included. Done in 30 minutes. I will NEVER go to budget again. Highway robbery!

Wayne got me in right away, no charge for the estimate, showed me on my car what was essential, and options for non-essential: Printed out an estimate and got me in right away! I work five days a week and it's become harder and harder to get in with my mechanic who doesn't have enough hoists so finally I decided to try Budget and am going to stick with them. Very kind. This is the place to go. Also, Wendy's, Timmies, Starbucks, & House of James are all just steps away, which beats having to hoof it four blocks like I used to have to do

I got my car fixed almost 2 years ago. The dealer ship wanted over 3000 But the advise suggested by Wayne at the time was the best thing ever for my car as he helped me saved so much Money that dealership was asking. I have had no problems at all since the last time I took it to them. I highly recommend Wayne and his team. He is the best no doubt.

Torn between 4 and 5 stars. They didn’t charge for diagnosis which is awesome, but charged pretty liberally when I looked up the parts cost.
I probably would have paid slightly less at the dealer in this case but Budget got it done just about immediately. Our problem was time sensitive so I’m glad we got it fixed fast but if it was less of a hurry I probably would have went with a lower cost option. Overall happy but I think there may be a little bit of blurred lines when it comes to how you’re being charged. Effectively the diagnosis is “ free” but you’ll pay it eventually if you choose to fix the problem

Hands down the best place to be when any exhaust work needs to be done. Colin is a super helpful guy when you need any advice. This place did an excellent job on my exhaust, exactly how I wanted it to be.

WHOEVER your using now for your vehicle maintenance, you need to switch to BUDGET BRAKE on south Fraser st, Abbotsford. I cannot tell you how fair they are and super awesome to deal with. I can honestly say that there a very few businesses that treat you as well as they do. I wish I could pull a 10/10 for them. Our family will never leave!

Said they could do the muffler job dropped car off at 830 an get a call at 2pm telling us that its gonna cost a extra $300 as they have to mod a pipe what a RIP off. I went to lordco ordered the pipe and mufflers cost me $275 and my time they wanted over $900 what crooks and I got all the same parts that they were gonna sell me at a huge mark up

I was very impressed with the service of this location. I needed to have my car checked for ICBC purposes. Colin was professional, quick and honest. Got my rotors and asked if anything else was wrong with the car and they say not it's perfectly fine, now I am stuck on a highway! No idea what they did wrong with perfectly fine running car!

My husband and I both have brought our cars to him unsure of the condition of them (we are not mechanical inclined) and it turned out that both times our breaks were in perfect condition not in need of replacement. I feel like sometimes is hard to find honestly mechanics who really have your best interest in mind. Colin is a good guy, really nice and when he woks on the cars great service.however a couple of his staff shouldn't hold jobs! Have had my car in there several time to replace parts, and on all occasions except when colin worked on it i had issues.like bolts not put back or zap straps used in place of bolts! So it's sad to say i will never go back! It's to bad because colin is a really good guy. He should consider getting rid of a couple of his lazy grumpy employees who don't want to do a job that is to hard!

Brought my 03 Audi A6 4.2L in today. Staff super uber phenomenal customer service! Rushed my car in, made my exhaust system and tips look brand new and knowledge of German car engineering! The shop's wners son, gave me a super awesome price AND included some free shop supplies and I INSTITED I PAY, he say no, all good. 100% honest. Made my exhaust system look from -10 to +100 improved and looks as previous owner had NO clue on cars in general. The shop's owners Son whom handled my complex situation was beyond fair, honest and it is VERY evident he and staff work with 100% integrity! I STRONGLY advise people to bring their cars and trucks to this location and to not bring it to any other brake and muffler shop in abbotsford. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Thanks to all staff for their collaboration. Very smooth and attentive service to my Audi and myself. Thank you everyone! I had an issue with an exhaust hanger on my truck (work originally done at a different shop). Took the truck in on a Saturday morning, the staff were super friendly and fixed the issue at a fair rate! Honest, fast service!

Brought my car in yesterday to have a new water pump put in. (Cost me a little over $1500). Tried to drive it to work today, car died on route. Had to have it towed back home. I popped the hood and can literally see parts left unattached dangling in the vehicle. Took pictures as proof. The service centre is closed until Monday, so hopefully they have a good explanation for their shoddy work when they open first thing Monday morning. Would not recommend this business.

I've been to Budget Brake & Muffler in Abbotsford a few times now. They certainly are good at what they do. If there is any problem after they will help deal with it until it is solved. They give me the option to decide if I need a certain replacement part or service, after discussing it. If it's urgent, they will tell you AND also show you the old part and how it was broken. Great service!

Today was the first time going to Budget Brake and Muffler. I loved that I could schedule an appointment for a specific time and not have to leave my car there all day. The staff was very courteous and friendly. Good old fashioned service. I'll definitely be back. 5 Stars!

Was given a quote by one of the guys to get my exhaust done, went in to get it done, the owner said he won't do it for that much and added $200 more to the quote. I took a day off work to only get kicked out the store at 9am.waste of my time and lost day of work.

They did my wife's brakes with a pair of rotors for $350 + tax. I love it. Also friendly staff.

They’re the best! They took my barely moving Subaru in with no notice, fixed it, fixed the issue that caused it. They then patiently explained everything to me – why it happened and what had to be done. No one has ever done that. As a woman who knows nothing about inner workings of a car - going to mechanic it is always little unnerving. How do I know what really needs to be fixed and what I am really paying for? Well, did not need to worry about that. Everything was clear from the beginning.

It was past 5 pm and shop was supposed to close at 5 but the guy just said that he would not let me drive from Abbotsford to PoCo with a car that is not running properly. Plus, they fixed a light bulb so I could drive home safely.

All that while keeping my costs down as much as possible. I am beyond impressed.
My car might be a piece of s**t but guys in budget are awesome!

People like the guys at Budget Brake and Muffler restored my faith in the old ‘honest mechanic’. It doesn’t get any better than this.

I had receieved a quote for a brake repair (front and back) from the dealership and called these guys to ask what they would charge for the same job. The quote was $350 less than the dealership and came with a lifetime warranty on the brake pads. I dropped off my vehicle so that the brake replacement could be completed. A few hours later I got a call from the honest guys working at Budget, they let me know that brakes still had life in them and do not need to be replaced at this time. They said the front brakes may need to be replaced in 4-6 months and the back brakes had lots of life left. They handed me the keys and charged me nothing, effectively saving me the $887.00 I was quoted by the dealership.

Shocked that they wouldn’t even accept a small payment for the diagnosis, I tried to insist on paying something. The man at the counter (Cory?) said all he’d ask in return is that I give them a shot at doing the front brakes when the time comes, and I assured him that they have my business for life.

Budget Brake and Muffler saved me nearly $900 right before Christmas, and I can’t thank them enough.
