I recently took in my old 2004 Hyundai Elantra to Matt at Budget Brake and Muffler. A great place to get your vehicle repaired. Always fair and budget friendly. Never does more than needed to get your vehicle properly road worthy. Very trustworthy and speedy with repairs and great at explaining the repairs.

We have been bringing our vehicles to Matt and his team for 2 decades now. They are honest and trustworthy, and always go above and beyond.

Matt has worked on both of our vehicles. In each case he has been accurate in diagnosis and cost, and has let us know if there is a problem during servicing that was hidden. He constantly impresses me with his accuracy and honesty as well as his willingness to look up information so his repairs are fair and complete. I have noticed that he takes a little time to do a bit more than what was on the repair list and often won't charge for the personal touch. This shop is a keeper. It's been a long time since I have found a mechanic (now technician) that I can completely trust.

What a joke, was going over a friend's car that had done the Tundra brake upgrade done in the past and when it was time to change out the pads, when brought to the shop rather than actually take a proper look at the brake upgrade setup it already had they advised to replace everything including the calipers. (back to stock 4runner setup) For a friend who doesn't know much about this stuff obviously it sounded correct. Biggest waste of $1217. Next time you bring your car, make sure you tell your tech and advisor about brake upgrades before they just downgrade you because their knowledge lacks or assuming they knew what was going on. Wouldn't recommend this location.

I had my rotten old Cat Converter replaced on my old truck today by Matt and his crew… great people… great service… i would definitely recommend this shop to anybody looking for honest old school auto service …. Matt is a class act and the exaust guy there is very awesome too im very impressed

So impressed with the amazing customer service from Matt.
Someone attempted to steal the catalytic converter on our Hyundai Santa Fe, not once but twice! Luckily they did not take it, they only managed to cut through the pipe. Matt helped us get the repairs completed quickly and professionally. Highly recommend Matt and his team!

Polite, friendly and honest. I took my car in expecting something terrible only to find out my oil filter was off kilter causing oil spillage. Matt cleaned up my engine and topped up my oil and refuse to take any money for the services rendered. I have no words.thank you for your kind heart. Paying it forward.you guys are the best!

I'm so utterly impressed with Matt at Budget Brake and Muffler! I've never had such a honest, helpful and kind mechanic! I brought my car in for brakes as they were squeaky thinking they needed to be done. Within 45 minutes Matt called and assured me that it was the type of break pad and that I still had a lot of life in them and I would be safe! He also checked my tires and noticed 2 were showing cord and reccomended I get new one - he said he could do them but I would get a better deal elsewhere. BLOWN away by his honesty - not a lot of people would have done that. Im so thankful for him & his kindness. He didn't even charge me, which is shocking. 100% will go back when I need to & will sing his praises to everyone! Thanks so much Matt!

I called all over Maple Ridge to get someone to press the ball joints in if I brought them the parts and the rocker arm. Matt is the only one who said he could help me and he didn't even hesitate and even though he's a pretty busy guy they will be done in an extremely reasonable time. Thanx Matt, you're a life saver!

I had an oil leak and went to them to get it diagnose and repaired. Only took them less than 3 hours to get it done and they even fixed my stiff steering wheel too! They let me know every step of the repair and even gave me a nice quote! Definately my go-to place for repairs. Great service and pricing!

Great location. They swapped my summers to winters at no charge when I brought cat in for service. I can do this myself but they offered.so why not? Staff is excellent and helpful. They had several chances to take advantage of my little knowledge of vehicles, and did not on any occasion.

Brought my 94 Yukon in with a soft brake pedal and the engine starting/idling/driving very poorly. It has significant frame rust and is pretty difficult and annoying to work on. Matt ended up taking the time to properly diagnose the problems and even ended up charging me less than the original quote we discussed. Couldn’t be happier, will definitely be bringing my truck back in the future as much as he might never want to see it again

My battery light came on on Christmas day and Matt and his team were there to help! They provided great advice in the meantime until I could get my car in for service over the Christmas holidays. They were friendly, honest, and able to diagnose and resolve the issue. Would definitely return and recommend to others!

Last month my car was in need of major engine repairs to a point that I was considering that the repair cost would outweigh keeping the car. I took the car to Budget B&M where Matt diagnosed the problem and was very upfront and honest of repair options and costs. I decided to go repair route and Matt was exceptional in communicating what was needed and where we stood. In the end the repair cost was a little less than the original quote.

It's great to have a mechanic who is so capable, honest, and trustworthy. I would totally recommended this place for your repairs. One week later when my daughter's car needed service we went straight to Matt and his shop and she was even more thrilled with with the repair done to her car.

I meant to write this review several months ago but forgot.
I was quite sure my alternator was toast on my '01 Acura and described what issues I was having. The mechanic was very thorough in his examination of the vehicle and found out there was just a broken bolt for a belt that charges the alternator. I fully expected to have to buy a new alternator and if they were dishonest they could have easily charged me for something I did not need. But they did not!
I have 100% trust in any maintenance they will do in the future for my car or any friend of mine. Thanks!
