Burgoo

Smaller place then I expected but it was really cozy and warm. We got a seat right away even though it seemed fairly busy. Had the chicken pot pie and it was really good and savory. Would definitely order it again. Everything on the comfort food section on the main menu was going to be filling and heavy so we just had some chips and dip for our appie. We finished off with some dessert.

Simply AMAZING! We had the Grilled cheese and Tomato soup, plus the El Cubano sandwich. Great food and super friendly staff. A truly fantastic place to enjoy food and a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended

I’ve been going to Burgoo with my mom since I was a teenager. It’s my go-to spot! This location in particular is FANTASTIC. The workers are always so kind and personable and it feels like “home”.
Burgoo never disappoints.
Living in raincouver is much more tolerable because of Burgoo. The comfort food is so good that words do not even begin to describe how good it is. I always tell my friends to go try Burgoo, because it’s THAT good.
I highly recommend people who are looking into visiting Burgoo to just GO! The after school special is like the perfect hug during a cold day.
I have so much love for all of the workers in all fields that work for Burgoo.
You guys are amazing.

Always in the mood for some Burgoo-ey cheese!

We came at night but they always have their after school special of soup and sandwich. Absolutely hit the spot! The gooey cheese grillers (with tomato) was so decadent. Mozzarella, Gruyère, ementhal, cheddar.looks like they used everything in the fridge! So good when you dip that in their tomato soup!

I had their el Cubano which is braised pull pork, spicy capicollo with cheese and mustard. Really delicious on its own but when you dip it into the crab bisque. That’s next level!

We were promptly seated. The dry apple cider and french onion soup was delish. Our server was friendly. A lovely afternoon.

Sat at the bar and the Bartender was very friendly and attentive to us and all the people around us. Food took a lil longer than expected but it was a busy saturday night and the staff were all working very hard. French onion soup was amazing, talisman pale ale on tap was great and the atmosphere is cozy as a cabin.

Did not have a great experience here. Service was slow even before they got busy. I ordered the shrimp appetizer and Mac and cheese appy size and both were very disappointing. My friend who got a chicken sandwich, it was cold by the time it was served. It was surprising because the place came highly recommended.

Decided to give this place another shot after giving it 3 stars two years ago. Service here is still terrible, although the hostess was very welcoming and bubbly. Mac and cheese was dry, and the server didn't even check up on us. It was as if she were actively avoiding our table. Avoid this location if you can.

Reasonable prices and delicious food. We tried the grilled cheese, beef bourginoin and French onion soup in the past.today We had a side order of the Mac and cheese, baby Burgoo, ribs and jerk chicken wings. So good! The burgoo has an amazing Smokey flavour.

Cozy place to enjoy delicious stews and sandwiches. Salads are 100% recommended and the passion fruit lemon is super delicious. Easy parking, bug patio and the service is very friendly.

So get this. I order multiple times from uber eats, and every single time I requested utensils and didn't get them.

At first I thought it was a mistake or oversight. But upon investigating the issue, I finally figured out what the issue was.

These guys are charging 25 cents a pop for utensils. For plastic utensils that they get in batches of 100 for little to nothing. Don't want to pay? Eat with your hands, apparently.

Listen, we all know you need to make up for the deficit created by the cuts being taken out of delivery orders. But you don't have to be this cheap about it. What's next? Are you going to charge me for the bag you put the boxes in and staple it so that when it's opened you have staples jabbing you in the hand as you reach in to take out your food?

2 stars for the decent comfort food. 3 points deducted for lack of class. Not coming back until you have a little self respect. Other stores were happy to give me free utensils when I received your orders without any!

Very tasty! The soups and sandwiches are delicious and the drinks are refreshing. Highly recommend the Tasty Chicken sandwich with the FAB salad and a Lavender lemonade. The service was fast and super friendly.

Well my friend and I happened to visit Burgoo on National Mac and Cheese day. So obviously we had to indulge in some gourmet Mac and Cheese! And I, in all gourmet fashion, had to add my traditional "happy face" in gourmet ketchup and hot sauce! (Cause you can take the man out of the kid, but there ain't no way you're gonna take the kid out of the man!)

Amazing comfort food and drinks were great too. Service was great and not to hovering but attentive.

Burgoo has been one of my favourite brunch spots in the city for the past 10+ years. Been here many times and have never been disappointed.

Delightful experience on a Tuesday night! We had Megan as our server (table 24), she was kind + helpful, came by our table the exact right amount of times without being overbearing. Drinks were quick and tasty, food was hot and fresh, what more could you want? It was busy but all the staff seemed to be in good spirits! Will return for sure

Friendly service. No AC. Windows open so lots of flies flying around. Comfort food, but I prefer the comfort of AC more. Not able to give 3.5 stars so rounded down due to the lack of AC and the flies that I had to constantly swat away from my food.

The food is great, specially the guacamole and shepherds pie. It was so good that i only remembered to take a picture after i was more than halfway done with it.

Tried the food. My fiancé got the grilled cheese and I got the cubano. Her grilled cheese was probably one of the best grilled cheese I have ever had. Service was great and the patio was pretty good.

A decent place to ho no doubt. The seating is on the lower side. Nonetheless, you won't regret going here for the drinks and food.

Patio and service was nice but overpriced i have lunch once a week with my teen eyers kids and usually I spend around $70 including 1 glass of wine at sushi restaurant on Cambie but now we can not go inside so I was looking for place with patio so we went to Burgoo, never been before. We ordered 3 sandwiches include a little salad, sandwich are small, here is the ticket so you can be the judge.

Amazing resto. Their French onion soup is to die For! And their mac n cheese.wow! So good! This place is awesome, would definitely recommend this place to others! You won't be disappointed.

Great place for comfort food. Had the gooey grilled cheese. To die for. Macaroni and cheese is a close second. Love this family owned restuarant. Nice patio too. Try it out.

The food is delicious but don't bother going if you hate cheese. The soups are excellent and the mains are fantastic. All of it is great really.

Great place for comfort food! Since it's small there's always a wait because -I believe - they don't accept reservations. I had the Cuban Sandwich + a cup of corn soup and I loved it. I'm knocking off a star, because my wife's butter squash soup was not very good and the 35 minute wait. Kudos on service though! The servers all get 5 Stars.great job y'all!

Busy even during weekdays, but it’s worth the wait. Great service and lots of comfort food to choose from.

The food was just ok. I got the Mac and cheese and it was fine. The sauce was pretty bland and the bacon was way too salty.

Tasty comfort food and good atmosphere - some dishes are unfortunately not really worth the cost. A great option is the soup and sandwich to be able to sample a bit of both.

Best service, atmosphere, and especially food and drinks. It's also near my house and I'll definitely come here again.

They made accommodations for a stroller, even though its a tight space. And they text you when your table is ready.

I have always found the food and service enjoyable here. The patio is nice in good weather. Just wish it wasn't so loud on the patio due to cars driving on Main Street.

This is nice place to be, to eat nice foods except for the disturbing noise of the moving cars on the main street.

Dos diablos + crab bisque + mac & cheese = you can never go wrong.this place NEVER disappoints. THE best.

I've been to Burgoo a couple times now, and have yet to be anything short of wow'd by their menu. This time I had the Macaroni & Cheese with their feature of Feta and crab pieces, and it was absolutely delicious. Looking forward to trying the Burgoo in North Van!
