Food was really nice and the staff super super friendly.

Tried Crab Bisque and Decadent French Onion soup, they are okay and a bit pricey, maybe because of their location. Also tried Chocolate Banana Bread Pudding, this one is good, but too sweet for me so I ordered a cappuccino, opted for a double shot, and really liked it! That's the extra star for the overall experience!

My husband and I decided try Burgoo for the first time tonight, and we were NOT disappointed!
The restaurant itself gave really low key vibes and was nice and quiet.
Our server, Daisy, was magnificent. She was very friendly, took the time to answer our questions, and helped my husband settle on the Tasty Chicken sandwich, and myself on the Beef Bourguignon.
My husband spoke highly of the sandwich, and I can't even begin to describe how delicious the Beef Bourguignon was! Everything about it was perfection It was a very generous helping, and I am looking forward to warming up my leftovers to enjoy later this evening.
The restaurant, food and staff definitely fit the description and vibe of Burgoo as "comforting. "
We can't wait to come back and try more!

Great home style food that our family enjoyed. We luckily were able to get in right away without reservations, but it got very busy right after. We ordered the ratatouille, mac and cheese, jambalaya and mushroom soup. We enjoyed every dish. The cherry cheesecake was a delightful way to end our meal.

Okay so I waited there for like 20 minutes and I was served with nothing but my cocktail…. The speed of preparation in the kitchen is really concerning…it did kinda ruined my night so please AVOID this restaurant

Though the quality and flavour of the food is still makes for excellent comfort food, Burgoo has, I'm guessing, been hit hard by rising food prices because the portion sizes have shrunk dramatically over the last couple of years, while prices have increased though somewhat modestly compared to some other places.
That said service is still good and it is worth a visit.just don't expect large portion sizes.

Takeout was ready in 15min after ordering on the phone. Got the Feta Apple Bacon Salad and Gambas (Shrimp w/Blistered Cherry Tomatoes). Everything was absolutely delicious 10/10!

I was a bit disappointed by my meal with my family. Our meals were heavy and consisted of one heavy flavour, which was good, until you have to finish a meal consisting of one flavour. Overall the service was good and the people were nice, but I was let down by the food. We ate the mac and cheese with bbq pork, the jambalaya, and the French onion soup.

Such amazing comfort food, tried the Eggplant caprese (a bit dry), El Cubano (highly recommend), perogies, and Mac and cheese (highly recommend). Will be visiting again. The food felt like a warm hug.

Intimate atmosphere with dim lighting in the evening. Great customer service, the waitress checked in to make sure I was enjoying my meal. I got the French onion soup and the mini Mac and cheese, both were so cheesy! Mac and cheese was creamy but a little bland, and the French onion soup was a bit too salty. An overall good experience.

I usually dine at Burgoo on Main Street as I prefer the ambience there. Decided to try the West 10th location today as closer to home. I ordered my regular dish, the Beef Bourguignon, and I was very disappointed.
Some of the beef was grizzly, the dish was not hot, and most importantly, the beef was tough, definitely not melt in your mouth like it is at the Main Street location.and I have had it there on several occasions.
I did enjoy the ambience on West 10th, it was nice and quiet, and our Server was lovely. I didn't bother to say anything because it would have made the elderly person I was with very uncomfortable. Not sure if I will return to this location, and if I do, I will definitely not be ordering my regular menu item.

A friend was in from Toronto and wanted some comfort food. My daughter and I said this was the best place. West 10th was closer to her Hotel and I didn’t think I would have the same experience. We both ordered the Beef Bourguignon.
What a huge disappointment, not to mention my friend wondering why I said the food was good. It was luke warm, the meat was super tough and chewy and full of grizzle and fat. It was absolutely horrible. I will never return to this location again. Someone needs to replace the Chef. It was absolutely horrible!

Go here for lunch during work all the time. The soup, salad and sandwiches are all very good. They always have really good service and always very friendly. Pricing is like slightly high and it adds up quickly but the quality is really good all the time.
