The staff and veterinarian are all friendly and nice.
I am relieved to know that there is a good and skilled veterinarian near my house.

I've only come here twice but the impression I'm left with is positive. The girls up front are nice and down to earth and Dr. Kim follows suit. While no vet is ever perfect for each person, and I'm difficult to please I am confident in telling you these people will care for your animal without giving you false hope or pushing for something your pet doesn't need.

My dog has been to multiple vets, and Burkeview has the cheapest 'walk through the door' fee of anyone other than 'TriCity Animal Hospital:/'. Cheap care for your animal shouldn't feel cheap, and it doesn't here. Respectful pricing and care is very hard to find in today's world and I think Burkeview has found that balance.

Update:
I've now been going for years, my first dog has passed and I am on to another. I have never had the experience I have here at other vets, every single person that works there seems to actually care about my dog and me. They often do everything they can to keep prices low while still caring for your animal. Both Dr. Kim & Dr. Leung have been extremely respectful to me at the worst of times and incredibly generous at the best of times. I honestly do not think there is a better vet clinic in the lower mainland.

I have a Shiba Inu who is very scared of vets. Dr. Kim and his staff were very caring and professional. They put my dog at ease and the appointment went very well. I highly recommend this clinic!

I can not say enough about this clinic. They are definitely a 5️ Dr Kim and all his staff are caring, kind and professional. They have helped our Kaia with some very unpleasant situations and she has always come through with flying colours. Thank you to all the staff at Burkview Animal Clinic.

My cousin told me that she took her cat earlier 5 min for the appointment for the minor wound and found the cat had a difficulty breathing in the waiting room.she asked for help but the receptionist was aloof to reply "the vet was busy to treat another patient ". So she waited 20 min for nothing until the vet came to take her cat for Oxygen for 3 minutes (charged $50) and took three shots (not sure if overdoses) for her cat.totally only treated the cat about 10 min then suggested to send the cat to the emergency care 24 hr ASAP.unfortunately the cat stopped breathing on the way to the ER. My cousin regretted to take her cat to wait for SOS in Burkeview Animal hospital.she should take her cat to leave for ER instead.

The problem is that treatment for severe or heart/kidney issues is
This is a place where you don't have the skills to entrust it to.
It's difficult to read, so just start with medicine.
It's a busy place to recommend. Have you had the same experience here?

All staff from the reception, technicians, and vets are so lovely and thorough. Very helpful, patient, accommodating, and great attention to detail with helping me get my dog moved over to New Zealand. Definitely recommend.

Dr. Kim is knowledgeable, kind, and very thorough. He is also very open to alternative therapies and flexible to work with each animal in a way that the animal can handle in terms of treatments and medications. The technicians are also very nice and willing to get to know the animals. I have never had a bad experience in the 8-9 years I have been going here for my 3 animals. This is not the cheapest vet I have been to around the Greater Vancouver area, but not the most expensive, either, and totally worth the drive & money.

Very kind and gentle with my precious dog, good price for wonderful service. I will make this my primary vetrinary.
