Had Mo & Varinder help me with a move from BC to Alberta, on the BC end out of a high rise in Surrey.
These 2 were great fellas, very detailed, packed everything with care beyond my expectations & very efficient with their work.
I was quoted 2-9 days and my things were there 9 days later. Very easy to follow along (I also use led an AirTag) pricing was withen a couple hundred of original quote so can’t complain.
Would defiantly use again & would ask for Mo & Varinder! Thanks again fellas.

Burly Boyz were amazing. Vadym and Andy helped my wife and I move to another city, they were very professional. Every item we couldn't get into boxes they wrapped it individually in moving blankets so each piece was fully protected. It gave us a huge peace of mind, especially with several large tv's and a lot of glass furniture. Not a single item arrived damaged. The team were also very friendly and easy to talk to. The price point was so reasonable too, I'd highly recommend them!

Mo and Varinder did a great job communicating with us in advance. They carefully handled our stuff and kept our place clean and neat during their work. We are very happy that we chose Burly Boys Moving!

I moved from Vancouver to Toronto in Summer of 2023; my stress level and anxiety was over the roof and couldnt not stop thinking about hassles and challenges of moving, packing, etc.
Mo and Burlt Boyz really saved me; wrapped everything, carried to the truck; literally just stood aside and just watched them. They would have also dissemble, but I had already done it; so nice, friendly and careful (particularly Mo)

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They picked up a headboard in Ontario, broke it on the way to B. C. Delivered it broken and offered only $60.00 for damage. Jennifer in Edmonton neglected to send the contract with damage details when the item was picked up. They wanted full payment for a broken headboard and would not take any responsibility for breaking it. This company is terrible.

I wish I could rate this company lower than one star! BURLY BOYZ IS A SCAM! I am not exaggerating when I say that they made a HUGE mess of every single part of my move with them and that I have to STRONGLY WARN ANYONE considering using Burly Boyz moving to NOT USE THIS COMPANY if you value your time, money, property, or sanity in the slightest!

Where to start with my complaints about this horrendous company! Their office staff is extremely disorganized and struggled to even accomplish the most simple of tasks, such as scheduling a pickup time for our items. This was a massive headache to have to deal with when already in the middle of a move.

Further to this, the delivery of my goods was EXTREMELY delayed - it took them almost twice as long as quoted to move our items! This was a huge inconvenience and caused a lot of discomfort and extra costs on our part as we had to buy unnecessary things to makeup for our items that were extremely delayed in transit.

In the meantime we were stuck dealing with their incredibly condescending, unhelpful, and LAZY customer service representative who misled us about the details of our nove. We spoke with A***** who was consistently unhelpful - offering little to no advice or support as we dealt with all of our possessions being missing for weeks and weeks longer than she originally quoted. She was likewise totally unable to offer any kind of explanation for why our things were gone for so long, what caused the delay, and where they were exactly. She refused to escalate our issues despite numerous requests to do so, and constantly made excuses for why she was unable to help us at all. I would say it was like talking to a brick wall, but a brick wall would hopefully at least return your calls! It's as if she was paid to be rude and unhelpful

The movers themselves were likewise unpleasant, incompetent, and careless with our belongings! Things were poorly wrapped by them and ended up broken. They lost SEVERAL of our items, which I find shocking! To lose multiple boxes even after paying a premium for their moving service is truly mind boggling. What an incredible wast of time and money! DO NOT USE BURLY BOYZ!

Brian, Mike and Paul brought a great attitude and a great work ethic and made the move a breeze for us. Economical and fast, these guys did not stop and really went the extra mile to help us. Can not speak highly enough of them. See you for Kamloops guys!

Although i did not end up using their service, Jennifer from the sales department did not hesitate from giving advice or even addressing some of their flaws. The transparency was definitely something i admire and will give recommendation to consider them as a service provider.

Boys were great, Brian, Owen and Jaz, efficient, pleasant, I would highly recommend Burly Boyz. Also, admin was great as well. Thank you for a smooth move!

They delayed my move three times but didn't inform me before they were scheduled to arrive, and this was after they had called three days before the moving date and asked to come sooner (which I accommodated). When they did show up the movers had no tools to take apart the furniture, and on the receiving end they left several boxes in the wrong rooms (so they didn't have to carry them upstairs,) and didn't put the couch or shelves together that they took apart for the move. The managers refused to speak with me even after requesting to speak with them several times. Don't use this company. The extra stress created by their disorganization is not worth it!

Burley Boyz moved my sons possessions from Victoria to Kelowna. They were very professional, on time and careful. I was very pleased with everything.

The people who came to pick up and drop off my packages were very frendly and informative. Delivery did take a long time, 25 days, but I had moved across Canada so delays should be anticipated. In the end what mattered was nothing was damaged, and barely a scratch on the boxes we packaged with! We're planning on moving back in a few years and we'll definitely be using Burly Boyz again.

Terrible experience with our move from Quebec to BC.
Once we paid, we got no call, no email, no update, no info, no advice on anything. I had to insist to get confirmation they were still coming at the planned date, and that's when they informed me, two days before, that they had changed the date to the day after. Without bothering to consult or inform me.
Then on the day of the move the driver himself had to call me to say he was late and wouldn't be here before the evening. I had my plane reserved for the next day, the landlord was supposed to come in the afternoon to inspect the condo and take the keys.
The driver called again saying he couldn't make it and was stopping for the night.
The next day he was again delayed and arrived at night. The movers dealt with our stuff until 3am, while we had to leave to the airport at 6am! We didn't have time to clean after them and to check in wih the landlord.
In the end, the movers came with a 48hours delay, with no warning, no apologies, no updates. Most stressful experience possible.
And then during the following weeks while our stuff was travelling coast to coast, still no updates, and also no word on the final cost of the move after weighing the truck. They only sent the bill the day before the truck arrived to the destination.
I absolutely do not recommend the Burly Boyz company.

Dan and the crew were beyond exceptional for our move. When every part of our move fell apart, I called Dan and him and his crew took amazing care of us. If anyone needs a reliable, affordable and friendly moving company, this is the one…. Thanks again for everything!

I'm so glad I chose BB for moving. I've never moved out of my city limits before so this was a bit more nerve wracking for me than a usual move. BB was communicative, polite, and on target for price. Their movers were clean, fast, professional, and very accommodating. For a bit more, their team packed my kitchen as well - bringing the materials and boxes they'd need and packing everything super well and safe. I would highly recommended BB to anyone moving across province or across provinces. The best experience moving I've ever had!

My wife and I recently moved from Ontario to British Columbia. Their quote was extremely reasonable and exactly what I paid. The guys showed up exactly on time for both pickup and drop off. They packed our stuff very safely and nothing was damaged. Highly recommend these guys.

EDIT: They did get in contact with me a few days after I posted the review. I spoke to someone who went over every single point in my review and seemed like he was genuinely trying to figure out what happened. It seems that they had some organizational changes that allowed for me to slip through the cracks.

I have received my refund + compensation for the late delivery. I am, however, waiting to hear back from their damages department in regards to my broken coffee table.

ORIGINAL REVIEW

I try to give businesses a lot of chances before I leave a negative review but Burly Boyz has, kind of, left me no choice.

I hired them for a move on August 14th and was told it would take 18 days to receive my things. Originally, they were supposed to arrive to my home in downtown Edmonton at 8: 00 am but when I told them when I would need to out of there, they asked to push it up to 7: 30 am which I appreciated.

The movers showed up at 8: 15 - 45 minutes late in a large truck when I had told them that the only truck that could work in my area was one of those small shuttle vans because a larger van would be a fire hazard - they did not listen.

Next, they were not communicative about the weight of my things (unlike the last company I had hired) nor did they keep me updated on where my things were. My things arrive September 10th and the only way I found out the general ETA was because I called them 3 times.

Based on their our estimate, they were two days later (if we're doing business days - much longer if we're not). I emailed Milan regarding this and go no response.

The movers arrived to my home and immediately told me that because they couldn't manage their own time properly, they would not be able to put my furniture together (the only real reason I hired them in the first place, I'm on my own & can't do it on my own) then they tried to double charge me for their services.

I called their Manager and he told me that they actually OWE ME a refund and then tried to COVID as the reason as they why they couldn't put my things together?

Next, my coffee table came back completely smashed. The movers apparently filed a complaint in regards to it so I could be compensated for the damage. They also left three little dents in my flooring too.

Last, they left a blanket in my hallway. I called their Manager, left a voicemail in regards to a missing box (I found it later) and the blanket. I never heard back.

I called one more time and left another voicemail, still nothing.

Last week Sunday, I called and finally spoke to someone and she told me that she would have someone call me back in regards to everything - I'm still waiting.

Funnily enough, two days later I got a text from them asking for me to fill out a survey, which I did. I said the same thing as I did above and the form told me that I would hear back from them. NOPE.

These movers take your money, damage your things, arrive late, try to charge you double the amount, leave their own supplies at your home and then don't even bother trying to get back to you because they don't care - the job is done, right?

I, obviously, will not using this company again & will strongly urge everyone else who reads this not to make the same mistake as me.

They were good with everything including assembling disassembling of furniture, packing and unpacking of items. Ours was a cross province move and they came for a reasonable price compared to other offers. The only issue was two items were damaged in the move which happens but even the comprehensive insurance that was offered did not cover those damages because one was made out of particle wood/board. Wish they made this clear in the upfront talks before hiring them. But otherwise definitely recommend their moving service.

I experienced a move at the during Covid "April" and was extremely nervous an anxious. My spouse and I were new parents with a new born weeks old. Obviously it was difficult to understand all implications at the time. The movers were extremely respectful and helpful in all ways. They reduced the number of individuals who entered the residence to one person. They were fast and careful with the move out of the initial residence, which was fantastic. The move into the new residence was also smooth, fast and without issue until we notice damage to furniture. There was an kind and thoughtful expression of remourse. As well as a willingness from a member of the team to reimburse us immediately out of pocket. We declined as the proper procedure would be to discuss this with the company as the assumption was that vale for the damage would be addressed. We instantly provided detailed pictures of the damage as well as recipients for the purchase as well. Since we purchased it just a few years ago, this information was readily available. After weeks with no response from the team and multiple requests what we received was a offer based on calculation of tje over all weight of the entire load delivered. The method utilized had absolutely nothing to do with the value of the furniture. Or any perceived depreciation in value after years of ownership either. PLEASE be aware that if you utilize this service discuss the process for damaged property, procedures to compensate as well the repose time once an claim is submitted. It's possible that modifications to how issues like this are handled. If so great, regardless be thorough and prepared when considering them. The propsed offer for damages incurred was roughly 8% of the cost for the move. The value for the furniture itself was at 150% in cost for the move. Good luck and be careful with all things you love.

My first long distance move was a breeze! They kindly answered all of my (many) questions, communication was great, and all of my belongings arrived in the same state I had packed them in. Nothing was broken or damaged, and the staff picking up and unloading my belongings were professional and efficient. Thanks for a great move!

The price was in the middle as far as quotes, but the service exceeded what others were willing to do. The movers were professional, very careful, and courteous. My pictures, furniture, and television were wrapped very carefully and arrived unscathed.

Burly Boyz did an amazing job with our move from Edmonton to Fort St. John. Very courteous and attentive to detail at a good value. Hopefully I never move again but if so Burly Boyz will be our go to.
