Wonderful historic representations of a town in Burnaby and how it might have functioned in the past. Presenters were knowledgeable and appropriately costumed in clothes of those days from the past. Great presentations in each of the buildings for all ages. Especially enjoyed watching how the blacksmith and metal bender made items for sale. Holiday decorations and activities were also professionally done to make a visit anytime of year memorable. Parking was hard to find when it is busy, but having parking available at Deer Lake helped you find a spot to park.

The Love of my Life surprised me by taking me here. She's so thoughtful and sweet.
There was so much interesting themes to see composed of dated items collected drop Historic Vancouver.

They had a Convenience Store with old cool stoves, lamps, food packaging, clothes washing wringer.
A Barber, an automotive shop for motor bikes, a Millwright shop, a Theatre, a Pharmacy, a Traditional Chinese Medicine shop, a Bakery, a Bank with the vault an office complete with fountain pen and old style telephone! A Newspaper printing press shop with several machines that are still operative.

There was a historic 1900s home with a Christmas display. All the Historic kitchen and bathroom fixtures, flooring, items and paint or tiles was all preserved in great condition.
Really takes you for a walk down memory lane of how things used to be!

Really a great walk to browse the amazing displays they have.

This Musium is a perfect place to spend a family time and have fun for all ages. Although most of the buildings are replica of the real buildings, but they perfectly shows that part of the history. Walkways and roads are nicely maintained and gardened with fabulous flowers. Carousel with organ music could be amusing for youngsters and nostalgic for older ones! Admission was free and so parking did. I recomend to allocate at least 2 hours for your visit. There was a gift shop next to the carousel. Not much options for food though.

Small-scale and artificial buildings "only" from the beginning of the 20th century. But in any case free of charge, properly guided and chatty, helpful staff. Especially the original was Tram Vagon is a real treasure.

Beautiful museum with enthousiastic personel. A Beautiful carousel and a plesant stay. The only thing was, the restaurant was closed for renovation. And no option for coffee. As a Dutch tourist I am addicted to coffee. And above all. No entree ticket needed.

One of the best museums to visit in Vancouver. If u wondered how is it to travel back in time, this, besides Cuba is the next best thing.

The museum offers visitors a glimpse into the early days of Burnaby, showcasing what life was like in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The village features over 30 restored and replica buildings, including homes, businesses, and other structures that were part of the community during that era. These buildings provide a representation of a typical tram-stop community from the 1920s.

Visitors to Burnaby Village Museum can explore the various buildings and immerse themselves in the history of the region. Some notable structures include the Stride Studio, which was a renowned photographer's studio, and the General Store, where visitors can find a variety of authentic goods from the past.
