TWO years wasted! I took my iMac in as it wouldn't turn on. They said they did checks and my motherboard was blown and needed $700 repair. I got a job at the same time that provided a Macbook so I didn't get it fixed. Recently took it to lets say a trustworthy repair shop and he said there is no issue and it works, you just needed a new, and official Apple cable! When I asked them two years ago if tried other cables they said yes! But clearly tryna rip me off - when I told this story to my new repair shop he shook his head and said this isn't the first time he has heard this from Burrard Laptop Inc. Idiots.

I was hesitant about getting a pre-owned laptop since that was all I could afford, but the guys at Burrard Laptops sold me a fantastic machine for a very reasonable price. It’s been running smoothly after months of heavy use, and they even gave me a warranty. I don’t think I’ll buy new laptops again.

Came in over a holiday weekend to replace my MacBook Air (2015) hard drive. Charles was awesome, very sweet and straightforward about the servies that would be provided based on my needs and the cost was reasonable for what was done. Was able to get my laptop back and fully functioning within 2 days (would have been an even shorter turnaround time if not for the holiday). Will definitely recommend and come back for any other computer services! THank you Vancouver Laptop!

Issue: c drive would shut on and off intermittently at certain times of the day. The staff throughly diagnosed the issue and resolved it. Moderately priced, excellent customer service with an above average communication level. I intend on going there for future needs. Highly recommend them.

The team here was very friendly and explained all the options and what they cost before starting the repairs. They even recommended the cheaper option, which I appreciated! Took 30 minutes to fix.

Nice young technicians are working here from Iran, Afghanistan and Iraq. They are respondant to their tasks. I gave them my laptop surface pro 4 which had a charge problem. Althogh I told them this ptoblen comes from a part on board of the lap top (based on what i heard from previous repairing shop on my own country) but they thought it was from its batteries. They changed its batteries and it did not turn on again. And finally they confirmed what i told them at first that the problem is in the board. But they kindly, did not charg me for the batteries price. Although my issue eas not solved, but their honesty is more important for me.

The worst place that i have ever gone to.rude staff and incompetent technician. Buyer beware! Do not bring your computer to be fixed here!

This place is a scam. They don't care about fixing computers, but ripping people off. They also make some of their customers give great feedback here as part of a promotion. They install old parts as new ordered parts and charge you premium. Regular person would never know they get old stuff installed. How would you know? Right.

The customer service at this place is very poor. They have only one person accepting drop-offs and pick-ups so everybody has to wait in line. Also, it feels like you stepped inside a warehouse that is very cramped and crowded with broken laptops and merchandise with no room to wait.

I'm impressed that they were able to fix my desktop computer, even though most of the reviews were laptop repairs. My computer didn't start up properly and I planned on buying a new one, but my friend suggested me to see Burrard Laptops for a repair instead. Free diagnostic. They were a lifesaver!

Good service, and professional expertise delivered ASAP. It's a cherry-on-top that they don't charge for diagnosis.

I had my laptop fixed here. There are things I thought I would explain so you may have smoother shopping experience here if this is your first time.
Alex is ready good at fixing laptops, cause he is a tech guy. If you are looking to fix your laptop with an experienced person, here is a right place to get your computer fix, But if you are looking for good customer service and someone who can take care of your emotional needs! I won't recommend this shop.
Make sure to give him a call before going to drop and collect your laptop as he is a busy guy taking care of two different locations. Long story short. He did a real good job

Knowledgeable and efficient staff. Diagnosed the problem with my laptop within a few minutes, and transferred files from my broken computer to my new one inside an hour. Really made it easy for me when I was stressed about not being able to work.

This is the worst company i dealt with. I dropped off my laptop, it took him 2 weeks to repair it.i didn't have a problem paying for my repair, just to pickup my laptop it took me 6 trips, he alway bounces from new west location to burrard location, never specif on time.if i can give this company a negative feed back it would be great

The staff are amazing! Service outstanding. I came in desperately one evening as i could not for the life of me get my outlook working properly (it kept staying on outlook exchange). Within minutes, the girl at the counter was able to fix this issue and get my regular outlook working! I couldn't believe it! I will definately be back again as we are having issues w my daughters gaming computer! I am sure they can fix it!

Incredibly friendly amazing team.
I’ve had a laptop fixed here years ago and the service was amazing. They did an amazing malware cleanse and everything for no additional cost.
Today I went in to get a small repair done and they did it for no charge. Such incredible customer care I really appreciate.
I’m going to continue to support these guys when it comes to my repair needs.

Do not trust this company.

1st time round they wrecked my LAN connection when installing a new battery.

Within 1 year the battery has catastrophically failed. They refused a refund, offered to install another Chinese knockoff battery.

I refused the replacement due to fears of another knockoff battery failing and potentially causing a Fire.

I dropped my ancient iPhone 5 (I know) on the ground the other day, and the touch screen just straight up stopped working. Brought it into Burrard Laptops and the cell phone guy off to the side was legit. Knew right away what the problem was, quoted me a reasonable price, said it would be done in 30mins. I had a nice lunch and came back to a fully fixed phone. Thanks Burrard Laptops / cell phone guy off to the side!

If I could give zero stars, I would. I’ve had to access this place to pick up packages over the course of many years and never, not once, been spoken to politely or treated nicely. Most recently I went to pick up my package and was told it was not there. Called again today and was not helped and hung up on.
Would never have dealt with this place unless I had to. UPS doesn’t give you the choice of your pick up points are.
Avoid at all costs.

It was the worst service ever! When I requested a battery replacement, they said they needed an extra $390 to smash another part during repair. They are trying to rumble me. My laptop is no longer working and I have to consider buying a new one.
They never admitted their own mistakes and never apologized.
I don't want to even get one star. I already paid them $190 for a battery replacement, but I did the wrong thing. I shouldn't have been here.

“Worst experience ever”
Initially, they charged me 300$ for a broken hinge, which is not that bad. Still, the hinge didn’t last more than four months; however, I haven’t closed the laptop, so I went to them. They kept telling me they call me back for three consecutive weeks. After all, they say it’s manufacture “Bad Design”

Wonderful staff and very friendly. I took in my laptop for an estimate, and they called me back within 1 day as promised. Even though I ended up deciding to forgo the repair for money's sake, they were very accommodating and did what they could without new parts or an expensive repair. As well, they gave some tips on how to keep it from breaking again. Not to mention, they did all of this for free as it was all part of the consultation. Highly recommended, will come back here for future laptop issues.

Burrard laptops was able to diagnose and repair my laptop within 48 hours *and* they were able to retrieve some data from the broken drive. This saved me tonnes of configuration work. They were very very reasonable in their pricing too.

The worst costumer service ever! I am looking to chanage the broken LCD of my macbook since not every shop has it have to call make sure if its in stock! The only shop refused (IN THIS COVID) situation to be helpfull was this shop! I am not sure the repair would be better as the wat they are treating costumer is second to none!

This business was great to deal with and even though I didn't spend anything there they were always very nice. About 3 weeks ago my 9 year old desktop computer suddenly would not turn on and the fan was very loud. After reading some positive reviews I brought it in to Burrard Laptops hoping it could be salvaged. The next day I was told that the motherboard had died and since it was such an old computer that it really wasn't worth repairing. So I went and picked up the computer and asked how much the bill was and was told that since no repairs were actually done that there was no charge. Now that was a pleasant surprise. After about a week I finally bought a replacement computer and now I just wanted to get rid of my old one. I called Burrard Laptops and they said that they would gladly recycle it for me at no charge. Since I was the victim of identity theft a few years ago I was a bit worried about any personal information left on the hard drive but I was assured that they would erase the hard drive at no cost. So to summarize:

- no charge for telling me what was wrong with my old computer
- no charge for taking my old computer and recycling it
- no charge for erasing the hard drive

If I could I would give these guys 6 out of 5 stars but I guess 5 stars will have to do. All I can add now is that if I need some sort of computer repair down the road I know exactly where to go.

Prompt with fixing my laptop. No fuss. They get the job done and well.

Recently scored an old ThinkPad, but the screen is malfunctioned and only turns on at angles less than 90° and goes dark past 90°. After some research Burrard Laptop came highly recommended so I called them and was greeted on the phone by Elena. I inquired about a replacement screen, and while they did not have any in stock, informed me that if I brought in my laptop that day she could turn it around in two business days. I arrived in the late afternoon and was also to be greeted by Elena, who says she remembers our call earlier that morning. I explained to her the conundrum and wondered if I needed a full screen replacement or if the wire connection was bad. Diagnosis is free, and since it was the end of the business day, Elena said she would call me the next morning to confirm.

Sure enough, the next morning Elena calls and tells me the connection was bad (partially stripped casing exposing wire). She presented two options: electrical tape the wire, or replace the screen entirely, which was substantially more expensive than taping it up. I opted to tape it up and she said it would be ready for pick-up within the hour. Upon pick-up, Elena shows me the functioning screen from all angles, and I am more than satisfied. She says someone previously opened up the laptop but did not properly replace the screen wire causing friction and eventual stripping of the wire casing.

I appreciate Elena's professional service from phone call to laptop pick-up—the entirety of the transaction occurred within a speedy 24hrs. Will definitely return for any future computer problems.

Brought in my old laptop to see if it can be sped up (clean it up, start up programs rationalized etc). But turns out nothing really wrong with laptop just old and they gave me options to speed it up via adding a SSD if I wanted to. I decided not to go with that, probably can limp with this old thing for another 6 months and then spend my money on a new machine. Expected to pay something for the initial diagnosis but they said it was free. I felt bad and offered to be charged something or at least tip the people working there but they politely declined and said that's how we are operating. Wow, very nice and honest folks. Though I can't comment on quality of work they do as no work was done on my machine, I can at least attest to their ethics. And seeing the great reviews of other customers, seems like quality of work is very good also. So.these guys are awesome and if I ever need computer services, they will for sure get my business. The cost of repairs was going to be more than buying a refurb so they set me up with a great refurb I am really happy with.

I could not find the power cord for my mom's laptop and needed to get the documents off it. Burrard Laptop let me use a cord at their shop. My husband has also had work done here on his office computer, which he found to be very reasonably priced.

The place doesn't look like much but they do good work. I had a battery in a MacBook pro replaced. The price was reasonable and repair was done quickly. The first battery installed ended up being defective but they quickly replaced it again without a hassle.
