They always have great organic produce. The meats are amazing, as well as the milk and eggs.
The weekly offers are really good. You do have to check the receipt for those especially, as well as coupons being applied, because they aren't always in the system and you get charged full price.

Been going here since I was a kid and always have nice staff and great produce & meat. Friendly butchers go out of their way to make sure you are happy with whatever you’re taking home. Better to go here than the big box stores if you like quality.

Best grocery store in town. Been shopping this place for most of my life. Can’t beat the local vibe, quality people & products.

After a bad experience looking elsewhere for some good steaks, I wound up here. Not only was the lady who helped me knowledgeable, she actually helped and made some suggestions. She then asked the butcher to cut the steaks for me, and he jumped right on it. She then tracks me down in the middle of the store to get them to me.
Incredible service, I'll be back!

Very well known for their meat, but I go for the softest buns in town. Super fluffy! Never had a bad experience in 30 years of shopping. I would give 10 if I could.

Great place for a quick stop on the way home. A good selection of everyday essentials. Also has a large selection at the liquor store.

My favourite grocery store in town. A wide variety of local products and even vegan stuff! I love all the local produce they carry and their kombucha selection is better than anywhere else.

I have yet to have a bad experience and I’ve been going here for years. The cashiers always make my day! Super friendly and personable. You can tell they actually love their job and are well cared for!

Just moved to the area and found this wonderful store! Had them cut a strip loin roast for out first family dinner here. It was fabulous!

I had a disappointing experience at Butcher Boys today. Mockery seems to be how they deal with customers who make mistakes.
Store protocol is obviously different in all grocery stores, what is exceptable in one store not necessarily in another. I get it.
I brought two small packs of water into the main store from between the sets of doors to purchase and asked if I could purchase them at the courtesy counter.
I was met with sarcasm and laughter by two staff members. It definitely was a case of the older silver haired staff setting the example for the younger staff.
I know I'm only one person, and I'm not sure this post makes a difference, but I'm so tired of unkindness, when a smile and some kindness was all that was needed.
HOW WE TREAT EACHOTHER MATTERS.
There is no Courtesy Counter at Butcher Boys.
Their's is a Disdain Counter.

The prices are the highest in town. The groceries, produce and meats are too expensive with no reasonable reason for the same items being way over everyone else's pricing in the same town.

This is a wonderful store and has everything you would need, but they have frozen uncooked fresh pies that are simply fantastic at a great price

I love this place. Fantastic deli section. I picked up vegetarian chick peas red Thai Curry for dinner! Excellent choices.

I've been shopping at Butcher Boys since moving here some years ago. It's family run, and it shows. The staff are wonderful and will go out of their way to find what you're looking for. The butcher shop caters to it's customers at a level that surprised me at first, and that I've come to appreciate. Special orders, amazing homemade sausages (Chorizo, Boerewors and the epic soon-to-be-world-famous Big Kahuna!) and breakfast sausage, locally sourced meats and a knowledge of cuts and preps that have improved my culinary skills (thanks Adam and Chris!). The deli absolutely nails it with their varieties of cheeses (a 16 foot cheese counter) cold meats, sandwiches and whole roast chickens. The hot meals ready-to-eat are a fresh break to fast-food. The breakfast burrito goes down well on an early summer morning.

The in-store bakery produces their own Alpine bread, our favourite. The veggies and fruit are always top-drawer. I can get D Dutchman milk here. The generosity of the Butcher Boys staff in supporting North Okanagan Hospice Society over the years is admirable with their annual July BBQ parking lot fundraiser, a social event I hope will come back again.

I mentioned the staff, the ladies at the front of the store are the first and last people I see and one of the reasons I come back. Many of them have been here for years and know their customers by name. That.makes this store different from all the big box stores. Best family owned grocery store in town. Fresh and imported meats. Friendly staff. Prices are a little more expensive than big shops, but it's totally worth the quality of food you recieve. I definitely recommend this store to anyone looking for a decent dinner.

I ordered a 3lb beef tenderloin for Christmas as to make wellington out of. When my family member picked the cut of meat up and brought it home I found out that instead of a nice long peice we had gotten a short stump roast on peice that cannot be used for the dish, also the peice only weighed in at 2.6 lbs instead of 3.

Fantastic place to go to for all your local grocery shopping, awesome selections and great services. Definitely a gem!

Awesome small town grocer. They have a great selection of local products like Dutchmen dairy (BEST CHOCOLATE MILK IN THE WORLD!), little creek dressing, chocolate sauces and Helmuts frozen sausages, pies, amazing gelato and many more local fruits and veggies! Highly recommend. Recently, renovated, the store is super clean and well organized. A hidden gem in the valley.

Lovely lovely shop. Loads of local produce, dairy, and of course meat. The staff are kind and helpful. Great customer service and nice shopping atmosphere. I’m impressed with how much of their stock is local and how much they produce in store. Their homemade soups and broths are great!

I'm fairly new to Vernon and thought of trying out this store and it turned out to be a very impressive little store tucked away. I was quite surprised to see the meat prices were very competitive and it has a quite the selections.

This is a fabulous grocery store hidden away it seems in Vernon. On your way to Silver Star Mountain for the weekend or for a quick stop on your way home, Butcher Boys has everything you could possibly need. And, for a bonus, there's a liqueur store next door. Now that's what I call one stop shopping!

By far the best grocery store in Vernon! Staff is always so helpful and friendly and its so nice being greeted by a staff member at the door. Quality of produce and meats are exceptional compared to chain stores in town. They have also done a great job during the covid pandemic with their procedures and extra cleaning of carts, baskets and tills. They are also very involved with local charities and initiatives which is great!
Highly recommend visiting BB, you will not be disappointed.

I love going to Butcher Boys! First off, they sell Back to Earth products which is wonderful to support local business. They have outstanding customer service and the BEST brioche hamburger buns in town! Thank you Butcher Boys! I am a fan!:)

Clean, bright store with excellent selection. Fresh produce. They have a butcher and deli. Lots of local products. They bag your groceries for you.

Good selection and beautiful store. A little pricey but they are at the bottom of the road up to silverstar.

I love the meat department at Butcher Boys. The meat is as local as possible, they have great sales, the staff is very helpful. Very good quality!

I needed the toilet bad. And They say no clients allowed to use rest rooms. Was not impressed at all. There should be a client toilet available. We spend good hard earned money there.

Great staff and nice clean store. Liquor store next door in the same building is very convenient also.

My family and I have been going to Butcher Boys for decades. We try to shop here rather than a big chain store.

I was appalled to go in during a global pandemic to find absolutely no staff wearing masks or respecting physical distancing. We will absolutely not be shopping here again and I plan to tell everyone I know to do the same.

Shame on you Butcher Boys, we thought you were part of our community but instead you have chosen to put us and your employees at risk.

It was very nice moving to Vernon and asking where the best place to grocery shop, having everyone say “Butcher Boys” as the shop for the best meat selection but really, it’s so much than that!

Service was meh. Product seemed over price. But it's a local store, at least it gives that feeling and I'd rather pay more to support a real person than another huge corporation who isn't struggling to pay rent.

Seems pretty obvious this well run, ever expanding family business was originally all about the meat.

Great quality at reasonable prices. I moved across town several years ago and still make the pilgrimage.

The butchers (led by superstar Adam) are all very knowledge, friendly people and will take the time to answer any questions you could possibly have.

Cozy shopping. They spent some serious coin remodeling and expanding. Still a great place for everything you need to throw in your stomach. Friendly staff. Small town atmosphere.

The best ground beef in town. Don't like the new set-up, seem to be going in circles. Couldn't find the meat department the first time I went in.

Great store, really good variety and many local products as well. Prices are comparable to major grocery stores but it's rewarding to shop at a local merchant.

I really enjoy the quality meat at this store. I am not a store bought beef fan being from the farm in Manitoba, but this is the first place I have purchased beef from and enjoyed it. No chemical smell when cooking. They have some amazing produce here as well. Will go out of my way to shop here more often

Freshest produce in Vernon! The spinach is UNBELIEVABLE. It got me back on spinach. Super friendly and great layout. Cut my grocery trip time in half!

Love Butcher Boys! Was finally able to find a place that makes potato bread! If you have never had potato bread, I highly suggest it.
