C-Lovers Fish & Chips

Went yesterday and very disappointed. The fish required extra cooking as the batter was soggy. I did complain to the server. C Lovers in Horseshoe Bay is the best.

Fries are sooo dry I just kept adding vinegar just to eat them. The Haddock and cod were ok but, too expensive for what you get. I do not recommend this place.

Best battered fish and hand cut chips! Love the tartar sauce and coleslaw too! My go to for F&C

I wanted to post the highest compliment and give the respect that is deserved for this amazing restaurant… The takeout special is our family’s favorite meal… it doesn’t stop at that, because the amazing leaders who make this mouthwatering food happen, each and every time that we ever order here, truly represent C-Lovers, Beyond words or pictures… You really need to go in and check out the amazing front and back end professionals at this South Fraser location in Abbotsford.

The most important part of my review, honestly needs to be about some of the elite chefs and amazing front end servers… Winston and his beautiful & amazing wife Corine have always treated us with such respect at all times… They’ve always gone above and beyond…making us food that is the cleanest, hottest, & greatest mouthwatering fish and chips, shrimp & salmon and so much more…They’re an amazing force of excellence to be reckoned with.

It’s my hope that the manager and CEO of this company will appreciate these great leaders and show them some respect, appreciation, commendation & promotion for their excellence, as they’re beyond deserving of this respect!

When Winston and his beautiful wife are not working…we are thankfully attended to by Mary…we are pleased to receive great service from Mary…who always care about us as customers, by providing us with their excellence in customer service and great tasting food… thank you everyone!

I have been coming to this location for many years and it has consistently been the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Whether it be the friendly customer service or the all you can eat special, this c-lovers remains number one on my favourite fish and chips in the Fraser Valley!

The food was good but had two issues today; small fish portions for the price and I asked for a coke (should be just over $2) but after I got home I read the receipt and I was charged for bottomless coke ($4). Did not like that underhanded move at all.

Fast service by Karine. Food came hot and good amounts, plates full to the edge. Enjoyed the onion rings, prawns, halibut for sure. Good seating, soft leather booth seats, clean, good window lighting. We left full. Great Service, calm, efficient, and hope we get Karine again! In small mall, lots of parking. Price high enough for our city and menu. But will come again. Wish they had some kind of desert. (wingsoffreedom).

Had the all you can eat fish and chips, staff were very attentive and I got refills of everything very quickly. The fish was amazing and the tartar sauce is the best I’ve had.

My parents wanted fried fish. We orders their meals n i got the cod sandwich.
Every dish tasted bland and lacked a lot of seasoning and flavor. All of it was soggy and the cod sandwich was slatherd in some king of sauce that made it even more soggy! For $9.00 sandich only i would expect it to be crispy n some flavour! This just confirms why i do not come here own as a rule. I've had better fish at the competitions next nlock over

I did take home, the fish was soggy from the wrap paper they use i found the cod pieces small and they were heavy on the fries

We usually get the take out special. Alaskan pollock, comes with like 2 lbs of fish and a ton of chips. The coleslaw is really good. The staff are some of the nicest, friendliest, most helpful people you will find.

I'd give them 5 stars but not scanning vaccine passports. Fish and chips is great. The place could use a reno.

I like it, but why does a side of deep fried mushrooms cost more than a salmon burger? That makes no sense.

The fish was greasy and tasteless. The fries were a bit better. But the batter soaked in grease so it wasn't enjoyable.

The halibut was outstanding.

My gf and I got the runs about 1hr later. It was likely the coleslaw that came with it.

Tried to get them to deliver but the person I spoke to didn't understand English. She told me they delivered then I end up waiting 45 minutes for them to phone me back and say when can I pick it up. Get some people there that can understand English

I'm not a huge seafood fan, but C-lovers is delicious. The perfect amount of batter on the fish, and cooked to crispness. The fries are the best, crispy and fresh. They wrap their take out in paper to keep it fresh and crispy on the way home as well. A nice selection of foods to pick from for those who don't like seafood as well. The prices are great, definitely cheaper than your average restaurant, but yet the quality is still there. The family pack dinners are a really good deal for seafood nights. The deep fried prawns are amazing, and the price too! I highly recommend for a nice dinner out on a budget.

We came in to dine in, the waitress saw us from the beginning with another restaurants take out box. The waitress didn't say anything at 1st until she seated us at a table. Then she told us that the family that doesn't eat seafood that he can't eat his food because it wasn't from the restaurant. This restaurant lost 3 costumers, because of her. Never going back.

Best fish and chips in Abbotsford. Great family pack. Huge value and quality. We live the fries. Lots of parking and in a central location.

Great fish and prawn restaurant. Friendly staff, quick service and delicious food. We have not tried the all you can eat special for $ 14.95 including pop every day, but many seem to really like it.

This is the best place for fish and chips and it is the best in town. Reasonable price, great quality and quantity of food served, bottomless drinks. Excellent, friendly staff and management, super clean washroom and dining area. They’ll always listen to customer about any questions or concerns, and they are always busy so be there little bit early if u are coming with a big group so they can do appropriate adjustments in seating.

The best fish and chips ever. The prawn add on so good. Always fresh, always fast and curtious service. Excellent.

Let me go on a quick rant before the review. I am from Ontario, if you aren't from Ontario, the salmon there is pink wayyyy less fresh then in BC. This was my first time eating salmon in BC. I saw that is was red, and at first, I was scared. But I thought "eh what could go wrong! " And ate it, and I quickly realized that the reason it was red, was because it was fresh. Oh. My. God. The salmon burgers were amazing.period.full stop. I can't discribe how good the burgers were. No scratch that, WORDS can't discribe how good the burgers were. You just have to trust me, they had good salmon burgers. In fact they were so good that originally I was gonna make it a 4 star review instead of a 5 star beacuse if the pretty long wait time, but they were so good that I can't give anything less then a 5/5 10/10 100/100 just simply Amazing. If I could only use two words in this review they would be "simply Amazing". God this review is long, and I don't care. Just go here, trust me.

Excellent cod fish & chips, the take out special is sufficient enough to feed four people, possibly even five.

It's fast, it's clean, the staff are great. The food is wonderful, hot and delicious! It lacks some atmosphere, maybe, but we are 50 miles from the ocean!

Gotta give old c lovers four stars just because they're good fish and chips consistently and the staff seems to like working there it's always a good atmosphere to dine in it's not blow your mind the best f& chps ever but like I said consistantly good and the fries/ chips are really good the fish is battered in a nice light batter and the fish seems of fresh also prices are quite reasonable I went on all you can eat Tuesday for sixteen bucks all I could eat and a drink (pop) so very affordable

Had the all you can eat fish and chips. Amazing value for good fish and chips. Staff were very friendly and the restaurant was very clean considering how busy it was. Really like the historic pictures of Abbotsford on the walls.

Always fast, no waiting for service or food. Platter for two (halibut, onion rings, prawns, fries and slaw) is more than enough for two. Batter is light and food is delicious.

I usually go to Cockney Kings until I moved to Abbotsford, where there isn't one. I tried C-Lovers and I was wow'd! My server was so sweet, super friendly and efficient. My cod fish and chips was so delicious, wait the coleslaw was the best I've had and not to forget to mention the dill tartar sauce- magnificent! I will be a loyal C-Lover customer now!

Good fish and chips at a good price, but I wish they had Halibut all you can eat instead of just cod

Ridiculously priced two small pieces of halibut and some greasy fries 2495 wow is that a rip and never would go never would go back

Always excellent! My kids and myself love coming here for the all you can eat fish and chips. Even though you really only need one plate since you get a lot the option for more is always nice. Includes bottomless pop too. Good price. The servers are always fast and friendly. The only place in Abbotsford I'll have fish and chips!

Our service was minimal. Our server forgot straws. We asked twice and we just didn't get them. She delivered our food, but forgot to come back and take drink refills until end of meal. And delivered the cheque while we were still eating.

Food was hot, fresh, but the service was lacking.

You come here knowing what you are here for. You are here because you love fish and chips. This is my goto FnC shop. Decor is spartan. You watch them cook your food. Its clean and the staff is super. Love fish and chips? C'mon down!

The fries aren't the greatest but there's ketchup or tartar for that. Good, hot, fresh. The tartar sauce is amazing. Deep fried pickles are good. Kids price is reasonable. Nice staff.

I stopped in for their All You Can Eat and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the food came out. It was definitely hot and fresh and the service was quick as well. I'm sure I'll be going again)
