Cactus Club Cafe North Vancouver

I recently dined at Cactus Club in North Van and received exemplary service from our waitress, Grace. Her professionalism and warmth added to the overall enjoyment of our meal. Grace's recommendation of the chicken fajita was exceptional – the perfectly seasoned, succulent chicken, combined with fresh vegetables, created a delightful culinary experience. Her expertise and attentiveness made our visit truly five-star-worthy. Highly recommend!

My fiancée and I ordered the rain coast greens, mini burgers and spaghetti, all to share. The spaghetti came out first then the salad and mini burgers together. While we didn’t specify the order, it’s pretty standard to have the salad come out before the main. Not too much of an issue but the salad was missing the pecans. When we notified our waitress, she apologized and brought some out on the side. We added them to the salad but immediately noticed how abnormally spicy they were. The rain coast greens is one of our favourite items and have had it many times at other locations so we know how it’s supposed to taste. I told this to the waitress and in the end she comped a beer but really should have taken off the rain coast greens. Of course these were all small issues but added together we were not impressed. Will stay away from this location in the future.

Food and waitress was amazing and friendly but we came for my birthday and there was no dessert or anything that they usually have so was a little disappointed

Great food and atmosphere…very friendly service with a smile. Was little surprised when I found out this location was the first Cactus Club Cafe.amazing place, great food and unique environment. What a great place! We stopped by for happy hour and ordered some entrees off the happy hour menu. I enjoyed a Impossible burger with fries. Service was efficient.

It was an amazing evening with the family, great dinner, awesome service,
And I even got cake to celebrate my birthday. It was pretty good.

Their happy hour menu can't be beat and is much appreciated in the era of some places charging $25 dollars for a burger. Get here, support the original location, happy hour or otherwise! Building goodwill with your customers - they do it well!

At the restaurant at 4PM today.asked to ensure there were fish tacos available as we all wanted the tacos.to be told almost an HOUR later that they were now out of that item.only to have the table across from us that came in 30 min after us be served the fish tacos. Management is very poor I would highly suggest any OTHER Cactus Club.not the first time I've had a poor experience but this was by far the worst. I will not return.

Been there last Halloween and had the pleasure to have Joe as our server. What a delightful experience. He's spirited and funny in a wonderful way. He really captivated us.
We'll definitely return there.

One of the smaller Cactus clubs, yet still maintains their high standard of quality and service. Did a great job of accommodating food allergies.

Nice location, nice setting, nice employers, but I went there and ordered a starter, some drinks and a dessert, and I felt pushed by the server that kept on coming at our table to get us to order more

One of the first cactus branch open in area. The ambience is quite historic and the food is amazing. The staff is very friendly as well.

Our server Joe is absolutely brilliant. I wish I had the people skills he has. He’s got a really good business sense too how to make repeat customers.
This was my first visit at any Cactus Club ever, definitely not my last.
Food is also nice, good portion size, convenient parking, but Joe is the star here. He even surprised us with a free cheesecake, we had an anniversary.

We had a very nice experience at this cactus club, the servers were funny and v polite. Really liked the Dijon Salmon and Garden burgers.

Great experience. My partner and I were welcomed and served by Joe, who was happy, polite and quite charming, despite us walking in with only a half hour left of the evening. Not only did we receive excellent service from the aforementioned, Joe, we also had a great tasting and timely meal and were able to say goodbye before closing time.

about 2 or 3 weeks ago I decided on going to the Cactus Club on Pemberton in North Vancouver
it was a Thursday about 5 pm, my family (4 of us) and I sauntered into the Cactus Club
at the busy entrance we were greeted and seated by a couple of friendly hostesses

I sat on my stool and looked around, the place was buzzing with activity, servers talking to customers, staff hurrying in and out of the kitchen & serving guests,
the bartender was busy pouring big glasses of wine
There was an electric buzz in the room,
it was a hot August evening but inside was cool

we quickly ordered drinks and submitted our food orders,
It wasn’t very long until our burgers (4) arrived together at the table

I hadn't eaten here in for some time so I wasn't sure what to expect, but what I got … was a great hamburger,
fresh bun, perfectly cooked patties, melted cheese, crispy bacon, etc,
the food didn’t take long and it was delicious

The staff checked in at our table frequently to check on the food and the service, we never had to call anyone for anything, they were all sincerely friendly and at our beck and call

after our dinner and a few drinks we finished up our conversation and paid the billed
Looking back it was a good time
the staff, the food, the decor and the festive feel added up to a wonderful dinning experience

I don’t usually write reviews, but last week i came in and ordered some drinks and food, everything was amazing! Our server was lexi and she was very sweet and was very efficient. 5 stars all around!

Joe was an excellent server. Gave us some great recommendations for supper and was really pleasant.

Our server was Sara K and she is an amazing server. She helped us with every thing and was very sweet and friendly. She definitely changed the experience and made us very happy.

The original Cactus Club. The only one that still serves the best potato skins. Wish they would bring back their Broccoli Cheddar Soup. One of the best.

We had an amazing experience yesterday at Cactus. Food was great and our server Nick was so thoughtful and made the experience awesome.

The Prawn Ravioli I ordered had way too runny sauce yesterday (as opposed to normally dry) that I had splattering issues on my top.

Hands down our new favorite restaurant! The food, service, and dessert were absolutely flawless. Nick was a phenomenal server and was the best person to serve us for our anniversary! Highly recommend the chicken, fajitas, and the lava cake!

Best cactus club in all of BC, can't fault it, never had a bad meal. Beer glasses are frozen, what a touch of class. 5 stars all round

Worst place ever, after 20min nobody took our order. They took order at next table and they arrived after us. I were with my 2 kids on Mother's Day. I left and nobody came. I'll never go back to this place again.

Great spot for a quick business lunch. Service was efficient and friendly. The food is always up to standard at Cactus. Love the crunch on the chicken sandwich and the truffle fries are always a treat.

Excellent food and service! Went in for a quick bite after cypress and was very satisfied with the experience.

I was mostly satisfied with my dine in experience here. Our server was very attentive and ensured our food came in a timely manner. I ordered dessert near the end and it did not come after 30 minutes. I had to flag down the manager to ask where my dessert was. The manager was very professional and apologized for the inconvenience, which I really appreciated. Because of the inconveniences, the manager compensated for my dessert arriving late. Great service!

Been to this Flagship cactus club many times. There is one server there who has been working at Cactus club for like 30 years. He is super friendly and also great to have as a server.

Impatient server, felt like end of shift and “no sorry you can’t order from the happy hour menu that starts at 2 pm … it is 1: 57 … so I will wait 3 min and order …

This place is the 1st Cactus Club Cafe.
The place is cozy and nice!
The food was amazing, we had Four Mushroom stake, Bandara Salad.
The service was so fast and nice.
Parking is available!

Excellent location, with great service! Friendly staff. The Cajun Chicken Sandwich is my favourite. Rob's flatbread is a must try as well!

The food here is always good and consistent! Every time we come we are kindly greeted and we’ll taken care of. This is also the original Cactus club and their unique as the other ones do not look like this one! If You want good food and good service come here you will not be disappointed. Ps the crispy chicken sandwich is very tasty!

Since the pandemic started, we have ordered and picked up food multiple times from this location. However, today was my first in-door dining experience here and was disappointed. The food was great but the interior falls short compared to the other locations and it was infested with flies. A fly landed in my meal and I was unable to finish it and somebody took my dish away. My waiter brought our cheque and I informed her about the incident and she offered her apology but was otherwise indifferent. I payed for the full meal and left. I would suggest avoiding this location and going to Park Royal instead. Thus far, I have never had an issue that was not addressed by the stuff at Park Royals.

The staff were awfully rude the day I went. They didn't check in on me and my guest. Our food arrived late, and when it did, it was almost cold like it's been sitting around for some time. Might've just been a bad day for the staff.

Let's say this is our second dinner table! All staff our awesome and so friendly. Check out the original Cactus Club, you won't be disappointed!

I’ve gone to so many restaurants, and yet, no service has ever even come close to what my family and I get with Joe!
He’s so funny and friendly that the food could be terrible for all I care, he just makes the experience amazing with his attitude.
Right off the bat, he somehow guessed 2/3 drinks we wanted to order right, and the desert too, and don’t even get me started on his jokes!
If you’re there, ask to sit in his section, it’s worth whatever wait time!

This isn't the first time coming to Cactus club, but in Vancouver it seemed different. However the food is still great tasting just like in Toronto! Thank Cactus Club.

My favourite restaurant in North Vancouver, let me tell you my experience.
Honestly, I've been to this place many times before, and I just can't recommend it enough! It's the perfect place for a quick bite, or a nice long meal, especially with a large menu variety. The servers are always very kind and helpful. One of my favourite dishes here are the chicken tenders, which are nice and crispy, and are served with a delicious honey mustard sauce.

So happy for this place to be open again for dinnering. Have been coming here for years. Best service and best food!

My first time at this Cactus location, I was impressed with the small cute place & the decor.
Food took forever.

We just moved from Calgary to Vancouver. We've never eaten at the Cactus Club and we didn't realize you had vegan options. We ordered from here last night and the food did not disappoint! I'm not a huge fan of tofu but your tofu lettuce wraps get 5 stars from me! My husband ordered the impossible burger (it's to have a vegan mayo/bun option) and he said it was the best vegan burger he's eaten We will be back!

Great food, quickly served, good atmosphere. Not too crowded and good table spacing. I'll be back for sure!

We’ve never dined in but have ordered out a few times during the pandemic. The food is alway good (as expected, I used to frequent a different locations prepandemic) but what wasn’t expected was the long hair in my side Caesar salad this time around? I saw it as I was pouring the dressing in and pulled it out and decided to toss the whole thing.

Came here for my birthday and Joe went above and beyond and made it the best night. Whole staff is warm and welcoming. Had the best experience here!

Incredible! First time at this location. John served us and we had such a good time. I wish all my other Cactus Club experiences were like this one!

The impossible burger is an excellent vegan option, it was good, but a kettle salty. I’m not sure if I had a bad day, though. The place was not too full, but I had to wait for at least 10 min to ask for more napkins, it doesn’t seem like the waiters were paying the attention they should, or they were having some issues I’m not aware of. Other than that, the people are very polite and nice.

Joe was an amazing server! Had the best experience at this cactus club, other locations tend to have snobby servers, but everyone here was awesome.

First Cactus Club location. Not particularly pretty but it serves the same quality food as more recent/modern locations and it is a convenient location. Perfect for late night quick bites. Food is consistently good and drinks are among the best in town, even compared to dine dining establishments. My favorites are sliders (they are called mini burgers on the menu) and chicken quesadillas. For drinks, you can never go wrong. All cocktails are good. You may want to skips frozen cocktails in February, but I didn’t! They have a covered/heated patio as well.

Ordered take-out online for pick-up. My food was ready at the specified time, didn’t have to wait for my food. They were friendly and brought my food out to me. Handoff was great and the food was tasty and fresh as well. Nothing but good things to say about my experience here. Keep up the great work!

All covid precautions followed. Service was good, never felt rushed and the food was good value.

This particular cactus club always provides great service, incredible meals and a wonderful ambiance. Their dine out specials were amazing. So much for such a great price.cannot say enough? Treat yourself.eat in or order take out. You will be happy you did!

We made a reservation and asked for a quiet table. The table the hostess gave us was quite noisy and not secluded at all. The half ribs were tender but only 3 ribs. Wish they had more choices without asking for substitutions.

We are so fortunate to have this place just a few minutes drive away from home. Food is amazing, Cocktails are great and they have lovely selection of beers. My absolute favorite is Russell hazy IPA and we always enjoy their Calamari and Four mushroom steaks.
Last night we were in for my Mom’s birthday celebration dinner. To our surprise the front desk girl wasn’t welcoming (for first time since 2017 as I remember). We were a little disappointed, thinking of leaving the place and drive to West Van location. Then a wonderful person called Riley arrived just in time: she took care of my family’s concerns, provided a table inside although we had made no reservations in advance and went beyond our expectations to help us enjoy our special night.
I ordered Butternut squash Ravioli with prawns and it was super delicious. Also we had Kyoto fizz, Calamari and steaks, all wonderful as always, and they also promoted us with bonus truffle fries.
Can’t wait to return to my family’s favorite restaurant in Northshore. My little girl’s already counting the days to Persian new year when we’ll be back for another amazing dining experience at Cactus Club North Vancouver. Thank you guys, you’re doing awesome!
