Used to really enjoy their food. But quality and quantity have decreased dramatically.
I ordered 2 large servings of long doi and 4 chao long, and only got herbs and vegetables enough for 1 small serving; 1 was 1 small ziplock of beansprouts and 1 single stem of basil like 100$+ bill and you’re too cheap for the complimentary herbs that come with it?
Another time I ordered the iced coffee on uber for 7$+ before tax or fees, which is fine but it was a small 8oz cup, filled half way with coffee, like what the hell. For a 8$ coffee I was expecting fill the small as.s cup more than half.

This small restaurant is open late (till 2am on weekends) and always busy!
Their noodles are simple and light but very tasty. They have the usual fish cake, crab cake, and beef pho but our favorite is pho sot vang (beef stew noodle). Itsy very flavourful noodle in soup with soft beef pieces…it’s a must try!

Love dang anh! Love their pho ga with Chinese donut.also their spring rolls - highly recommend.

I ordered bun rieu cha ca on Ubereats and found newspaper in my soup how does this even happen?

It is one of my favourite Vietnamese restaurants in Vancouver. Will visit this place again to discover other tasty dishes.

Food was under seasoned for us, we won’t be returning. But food feel home made and full of warmth! Nothing fancy but that’s not a bad thing either. I like the blood sausage and small intestine.
One thing to mention is that I tasted a lot of earthiness from the veggies (dirt taste). Not sure if veggies was washed that thoroughly or not. And some pieces definitely was not so fresh (wilting, turning pink)
Service was excellent, felt like home. Family run, very welcoming and friendly service! I liked their tea and it is nice that they asked if you want cold or hot tea!

1. Bun long mam tom - good blood sausage and small intestines. The rest of the organ were soft as well. Tofu was not freshly fried. The sauce need more punch!
2. Banh cuon cha lua - viet ham here tasted different. I like it a lot. Rice roll was thin and have a nice mouthfeel to it. The filling was lacking in portion tho. Again, sauce was not strong enough for me. From what I gathered, it was not made fresh each time.
3. Bun rieu cha ca - quite bland but have a good flavour base. This feel very homey, nice and clean flavour! We did finished the broth!

Amazing special Pho. Comes in 1 size. Price is decent. About 8 tables that filled up quickly on a weekday. Had to finish the clean clean soup. Not a lot of fat in the soup. Sooo good.

If you want hot tea, you’ll have to ask. Their Chinese donuts aren’t listed on the menu. Make sure to try their pickled garlic. Only saw jars on two tables.
We shared a bun rieu cha ca ($13.50) and pho bo ga ($13.50). Broth is on the lighter, cleaner side. Fish cakes were tasty. Noodle portion seems smaller than before. Meats (bone-in chicken, rare beef and well-done beef) in the pho bo ga were a touch overcooked.

This is a hidden gem in the city. The tomato crab patty soup is super delicious. I live nearby and I can’t believe I only know this restaurant now.

Their pho has always been good. With their recent renovations, it feels much cleaner and nicer to dine in. All their phos are good, but the pho bo ga is one of the best. Their prices are also great, hard to get a proper meal under $15 these days.

This is an authentic Northern Viet restaurant, the kind of authenticity that you have to leave Vietnam yourself as an adult to enjoy it (being children of Viet immigrants that born in Canada is just not enough). I have dined here and ordered ubereats from here at least 50 times in the last 6yrs, I tried all dishes on their menu (including new dishes that are not on the menu yet like miến lươn & bún giả cầy). The must have here are pork innards porridge (cháo lòng) and chicken pho, and please don't forget to order the donuts, smaller than those you have at Chinese restaurants but flavorful. If you are not adventurous with pork intestine or fermented shrimp paste (mắm tôm) or chicken with bone, I suggest you try their rare beef pho. They are 1 of very rare restaurants that use the right pho rice noodles here (wide & soft). It's a family run restaurant, hard to find parking spots on the weekend, cash & debit only, the service is hit & miss, but the taste is just right!

Dang, I like the Bun Rieu here better than the place across the street (10/10). Reason being the rieu meatballs are more substantial, don't fall apart, so you get a real bite of the meat and not just soup with diaphanous essences of meat. The rieu is really tasty and you get a lot of it. Plus, I prefer their type of slippery noodle, which inevitably makes for loud slurping. All for $1 less. Def coming back, especially if the lineup across the street is too crazy.
Next visit: The chao long (pork offal and blood porridge) is a restorative wonder when you're under the weather. (9/10) However, even better was the Xôi thịt kho tàu (braised pork belly with sticky rice), a daily special, which was tender and tasty. Mind blowingly good. (10/10)

Food is good and authentic, but the service is horrible. Waited for 1h while there are only a few customers.

The broth is very light and watered down, I'm not expecting it to taste like MSG overload, but this place is truly too light.

The Small Vietnamese cafe next to gas station @36th Victoria dr! Good service, great food! Always recommended! Best Vietnamese cuisine I have ever tried!

Soup broth is light and non greasy. Good price for the portion you get. Meat slices were tender. Wishing there were more meat per bowl, but I won’t complain given the price.
Decent place overall. Just personally prefer my pho on the more al dente side, and the broth a little heavier.

This is my favorite restaurant to eat Bun rieu (minced crab noodle soup) plus cha ca (fish cake). The cafe sua da (Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk) here tastes good too. And the price is reasonable too. So glad I found this 'hole in the wall'!
