Caffe Artigiano

It was my fourth try and same result. The coffee was bluh and the pastry and breakfast sandwich was old and low quality each time. Never will go ever again.

This place has been on a steady decline since it opened. It used to be a good alternative to starbucks, but now I only come here when starbucks is packed, and I regret it more each time. It is dirty, the product is pretty poor, the food storage is inadequate allowing flies to sit on all the food, and for the food to try out and oxidize. The staff seem miserable, but with the incredibly poor management who can really blame them. Today, the "manager" seeming guy is chasing people out of the bathroom telling them it is out of order (the other one is out of order too), and then telling the extremely busy cashier that she should make a sign to show it is out of order. There is no reason he can't do it, but frankly he is either too lazy or incompetent to do it himself. Every time I get a hot drink here it is luke warm and flavorless. I ordered a bubly today since even this place can't screw that up. The place is incredibly shabby, not being maintained at all. Everywhere you look there is damage to walls, furniture, the floor, everywhere. It is dirty, the bathrooms are nasty, just imagine what the behind the scenes areas look like. An absolute shambles. Save your hard earned coin and go to starbucks even if theres a huge line, the service will be better, the products will be consistent, and even if you don't find a seat, the experience will beat this place hands down, and I'm not even a starbucks fan. Almond croissant was extremely stale. They didn't have any sandwiches and looked like they had some leftover wraps at lunch time.

PSL is not as good as Starbucks.

Cafe was quite noisy - the sound really bounces around in the space.

Awful services, they are too young and unprofessional employees. It was really a good place to have a coffee or breakfast couple of years ago but now some teenagers are hired without a good training for customer services.

I have been traveling to Vancouver regularly since 2011 and this place used to be my favorite coffee shop. I am very disappointed to see the coffee and pastries quality and taste diminish every time I try it. I ll still choose it over Starbucks but that is not a great standard.

It was an awful experience. We had a guest from overseas. The experience shamed us front of her. Nothing was clean. I was not able to find a clean glass of water. All glass as the clean glass was dirty. No water was available.
The honey jar was disgusting. My hand was sticky. No straw was available. The worst-case scenario was nobody felt responsible, and even they didn't bother to apologize. They serve us in paper and plastic glass ; however we meant to dine in.
I do not recommend it at all.

Fun little coffee house in the Park Royal shopping center. I loved all the umbrellas! The coffee was decent and staff was friendly.

Do NOT buy pastries here! There were multiple BUGS hanging out on the pastries out for display and being sold while we there. Overall, this place was super dirty. I had to return my espresso because the cup looked like it had been used. I do not recommend, and I think this place needs a food safety check by the city.

5 Star to this coffee shop - Very good aroma coffee and two big washroom and outside lot of chairs to sit and relax

Great atmosphere! I ordered a white mocha and hot chocolate. So creamy and perfect sweetness. The croissant was super flaky and buttery when warmed. The staff was super kind and even gave me directions to the mall as I have never been to the area.

Coffee is decent. We ordered two lattes and one with oak milk but when they were served, it was not specified which is which. It felt like we were atMcDonalds. The girl who took the order can only follow what the machine asked, not what we specified. I almost offered her a coffee too!

Great location

I went with my friend this morning. I ordered coffee and 3 kinds of croissants. Those were so old and terrible.

Got an iced coffee, it was great and service was fast too. My friend and I only waited about 3 minutes for our drinks after we sat down and they were busy that day. The barista Bamshad behind the counter was super friendly. Will definitely be back

Park Royal branch has the best chai tea latte and very friendly Costumer service. I definitely come back again.

Had to wait for cashier to finish texting for quite a while to be served. She wasn’t even trying to hide it. Just standing there texting away while a lineup was at the till. Just had to edit to one star from two as they forgot to even put my sandwich in as the girls were chatting. Same girl who was texting. Clearly she can’t multi task texting and serving. Wow.

This place offers the best cafe experience in BC that I have had since 2020. Friendly, lively and an overall joyful atmosphere.

Coffee is always good here and I’ve been coming here pretty much since it opened here in West Van. Like all over this globe we need to support our local businesses. Staff are very friendly and so am I I’m a regular.

I am a huge fan of Artigiano, especially their Whistler location. However, my visit here was very unpleasant. The cafe was filthy, I ordered some egg bites and asked how they would be warmed. The cashier said she didn't know and walked away. I waited for here to come back and take my order, but she ignored me! I walked out and went to Starbucks. Love Artigiano but won't come back to this location again.

Great atmosphere and vibe. Decent food. Amazing coffee. Good for doing work or studying. The staff are nice too.

5 stars for Caffe Artigiano Park Royal! The new management has been a great change and all the staff are warm and friendly. In particular, a special shout out to my favourite barista, Lauren, she’s so cool and edgy and wonderful and makes a killer cappuccino and latte!

Big spaces inside, clearly marked for social distancing. Store was clean. Ordered a mocha, and it was tasty.

One of my most fave and lovely café, is Artigiano park royal, with the high attention of management, polite staff, good coffee and good vibe.
For sure the management is professional and expert to set the equipment to offer the right dosage of the espresso.
Highly recommended.

I don’t know why but there is a lady staff with red hair who is always rude to customers. On multiple occasions, she made my coffee orders wrong and didn’t follow clear instructions. Instead of apologizing, she would start throwing things around and knocking on machines with anger.

I can’t say enough good things about this small friendly cafe in the Park Royal Village. I use to be a Starbucks fan, but ever since I tried Caffe Artigianos Coffee & Latte I have never gone back! The staff are absolutely nice & friendly. The place is busy at times but extremely clean! The Manager is very knowledgeable about his beans & comes to each table to make sure everything is good. I’ve never been so impressed & def.recommend going & trying their oat milk latte.

The male barista was nice and apologetic when the FOH staff made mistake.

Giving it 3/5 stars due to the fact that the two female FOH cashers are not attentive at their jobs. They are polite, but unsure about some of the coffee we asked. They were talking too much about their non work related instead of focusing to the customers (recommendations, knowledge of the coffee). As a result, both FOH staff forgot that one of our orders is actually out of stock, which the barista already told them before.
They did asked us for a substitution anything from the drink menu with no added cost, but it was given in cheaper and plain white coffee to go cup.

I had the most delicious Cafe Latte at the Park royal location a couple of weeks ago. The cashier was very nice and friendly, the gentleman who made my Latte was nice, and the coffee was delicious. Best coffee in town. Thank you!

The person with red hair clearly does NOT want to wipe the table. She showed frustration to the customer. The worst thing was.she even was eating something over the counter while she was working - obviously did not wear mask when she was eating. She seemed like she could not care less the COVID 19. Considering there are a lot of elderly residing nearby, somebody in charge should teach her how to be more careful around the customers.

Im sorry but being charged
$0.10 to have my coffee in a t/o cup is absurd. Daylight robbery. Cafe artigiano should be ashamed that they are charging per take away cup. The response why its cost that the lady said its to encourage people to sit and stay? I do not want to sit and stay Especially during these times of covid where “social gatherings “ are prohibited.

What a Shame. Never coming back.

Hot chocolate is simple and normal drink you may think. But Cafe Artigiano serves a unique choco which taste not too sweet, not heavily on cream and no residue at the bottom of the cup. Their choco banana bread also good, moist but not just sweet. I always look forward to going back️

It's good. Lots of regular customers there. Some of them feel like they are a priority over those that are there less frequently but the staff is good and so is the coffee.

Unfriendly, this place used to be good but not anymore. I didn't feel the place was that clean.

A coffee staple in The Village the has built it's own community of coffee lovers. Tricky to find parking so you're best placed parking behind The Village and then walking over.

One of the best coffee experiences for sapophile drinker. Pricey but worth an occasional visit.

Crowded, slow service, overly picky customers at the time I went in. Hope it's not like that all the time.

Upon entering the non-busy shop with approx 3 patrons already seated and enjoying their orders, I had to wait for the inattentive server to return to the front from chatting with her coworker in the back to input our order (6 very basic drinks).

The barista then painstakingly prepared each drink at a snail's pace, I almost wanted to hop behind the counter and commandeer the espresso machine just so they could finish up their conversation.

Behind the counter was an absolute mess, spilled milk, dirty rags flung atop carrying trays, and espresso grinds everywhere. I'm sure even an eye roll would be a tall order with these girls.

Unenthusiastic is an understatement.

If you don't want to work in a coffee shop go elsewhere! Step it up Tabby.

Coffee itself is ok, but the staff got every order ahead of mine wrong and, subsequently, my Americano took about 15 minutes. The space is very small during busy periods, so other customers don't seem to have a lot of space to move around each other. The bar area was also very messy. The place has potential, but the staff could use some retraining.

Coffee is great, but the design of this location just makes the environment feel uncomfortable. The chairs are nice, the tables are fine, the open environment is nice, but somehow all together it just feels wrong.

Food and drink 4/10 for price. Coffee, and cappuccino tasted dull. Banana bread a little undercooked like batter.

Always one of the better spots to grab a caffeinated beverage or a quick snack. Cant go wrong with the quality from any Caffe Artigiano and the staff are always amazing. Always my go to when Im on on the North Shore

Grumpy staff, very slow service and the cappuccino I ordered was more like a latte. Nothing like a cappuccino in Italy! From reading previous reviews I don't think the owners care as nothing has changed from those previous posts.

Good coffee, fresh pastries. Nice seating area outside. Nice to sit there and watch the world go by

Vert different way to make some drinks if you compare with other caffe artigiano and a better actitud will be nice from the cashier.

Service is always slow. Despite the makeover the noise level inside is deafening. Coffee is never really hot.

Love the quality of coffee here. This is always my go to place to meet and catch up with friends.

It's as good as before presentation wise. They removed coffee "we run off that, " thr only thing good is the coffee.

Artigiano was good when they first opened 15 or so years ago. It has gone so far downhill it's not even funny. I went to the Park Royal location on Saturday, waited 5 minutes to order (in a fairly short line up) and ordered 2 drip coffees. The girl wandered away after I ordered without saying anything or taking my money. I stood there for about 2 minutes watching her do something (?) then have her come back with a single cup of coffee and an explanation that they had to brew another pot and it would take 5 minutes. I told her I'd like to have both my coffees at the same time since I'd like to enjoy it WITH my friend rather than tag team coffee drinking. Finally got out coffees and they were barely hot and tasted like garbage. I wont be going back, I've given this place too much money and too many chances.

Beautiful cafe in The Village in West Van. Ambiance is nice. Nice place to sit and relax or hang out. Lattes, coffees and pastries are great. Only problem is the service is quite slow. There was only one server on our visit and it took quite a while before he took our orders. There was one customer who was ahead of us and he had to prepare her order first before he could take ours. Although it has to be mentioned that the server/cashier was very nice and friendly. He gave great recommendations but the cafe was just undermanned.
