Cain's Your Independent Grocer Kamloops

Good selection and varieties of, just something feels "dead" in the atmosphere, I'm not comfortable there so I rarely shop here.

I tried to post this as a question, however system wouldn't work.
Why is it referred to as Sarah's Store on cc bill? I almost cancelled the charge as I didn't recognize the name.

Wow way to go.you have a few bags stolen.now you treat all us customers like thieves by making us ask for bags at the self checkout.maybe you should look at the staff you pay to stare at us while we over pay for your products.its are fault they are blind and can't see thieves take bags

This store is so expensive! Sometimes they have a good sale on some meat.but even their sale prices on most items are a lot more than even save on and Safeway.shopping here is stressful. The same stuff almost exactly is sold at superstore for a fraction of the price.

Well we have shopped at the Cains Independent grocery store since we moved to Kamloops in 2018. Today February 20,2023 I walked into the store and did my shopping and my last thing I needed to pick up was Cesar's soft food for my dog. I went and grabbed a 24 pack and damm near fell over. They jacked the price up by 5.00 dollars to 40.99. Thank you Cains. I will not be purchasing anymore pet products from your store anymore and will be shopping around more at other grocery stores. An angry customer!

I had to quit shopping here to many bad experiences. The staff don't bag your groceries and told me many times it was not there job. Other staff stock shelves and take the entire row and not move for customers. I ask for help finding something and no one knows and they walk so fast and are gone out of view as I can't keep up.

Food sits on the lower end. I like the feel of Fresh Co better & that is saying something. Layout is poor & confusing.

Expected to see discount prices as this is supposed to be a discount grocer. Notwithstanding the fact that prices everywhere are Grossly inflated. Found better deals at Freshco and Wal-Mart.also they are always sold out of pre cooked chickens.

Well I went to this store twice to buy their front page feature pork loin last week…. I live at Tobiano so it’s a drive. Both times they were out of the special item. I was given a rain check and called twice to see if they had them in. It was during the second call that the meat dept told me they shouldn’t have given me a rain check? The meat dept employee told me I would have to wait until they are on sale again to get them honoured…. Brilliant! Then why would I need a rain check? I will take my business elsewhere. I have accumulated and redeemed over a million points between super store and this store and will now only shop at super store. What happened to customer service! Mr Cain you need to run your store more professionally.

Average grocery store to shop for groceries & non food products.
Produce section could use some perking up as some items are not fresh. Keeps shelves stocked but certain brands not available. Some stock is low due to possible slight recession, but otherwise fairly good. Prices had been considerably higher, in the beginning of the year, especially in produce and essentials, but some have dropped.
Store is well lit and kept reasonably clean. Pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff to assist you.
One thing that most would deem unnecessary is the line up system used to direct customers to checkouts which has been in place since the pandemic.

I have noticed over all the staff doing a good job in trying to help when compared to other large outlets

Very much like a Presidents Choice Superstore, except clean, friendly & well stocked. Found everything I was looking for quickly & it was all fresh - BBQ dinner

Tried to place an online order for pick up today. After selecting all my items, I pressed the checkout now button and the website wouldn't load. Kept showing that rotating circle thing. After a half hour I gave up and had to order somewhere else. A friend was going to be picking it up for me and I didn't want him to have to drive all the way up the hill so this was really inconvenient. Also, just a heads up that they charge you almost double the amount of your order! You do get the extra money back, but it can take up to five days to go back into your account. That's why I normally don't online shop here. I will continue to do most of my shopping at FreshCo or Walmart as the prices are way cheaper there.

Love this grocery store. Always extremely clean and very well organized. Good prices. Friendly well trained staff. Well stocked shelves and great inventory choices.

Cashiers are always friendly and will have a nice conversation while ringing up your groceries. There are good deals often and plenty of options for quality food!

Love this store, there is nothing bad I can say about this store. Have never had a bad experience so far. The staff always seems to be in a great mood and as far as I know and researched they have the lowest prices in Kamloops. I am glad to be living back over on this side of the city again and away from Save-On high prices.

Good service and I always find what I'm looking for if I can't find it I just ask the friendly staff

I do 90% of my shopping here. Great prices. Products and very friendly staff. Even got my 4 the COVID there two days ago
