Friday of a long weekend I'd already put in 5 calls and no one was available to fix my elderly mother's clogged toilet. First thing Saturday I called Callaway's emergency line. Bob answered and was over in an hour to solve the problem. Thank you!

The receptionist who took our call was good at calming down my slight panic about the (kind of gross) flooding in the basement, and she set us up with clear expectations about timing and cost. What for us seemed a catastrophe was just a routine call for the Callaway tech, who (1) showed up earlier than he thought he would, (2) handled the messy situation quickly, and (3) had a good sense of humour about it. We very much appreciate the professionalism of Callaway P&D.

Bob at Callaway was professional, prompt, clear in next steps and provided excellent service and advice to me and my Strata. He was called out after-hours for an emergency pipe leak that affected three units and a common room. He was able to quickly identify the issue, provide recommendations for a restoration company, and was quickly back on site to fix the leaking pipe once the wall was opened up. It was a pleasure to work with Bob during a crisis, due to his calm, professional nature and his expertise. Thank you Bob!

Callaway sent a plumber this morning to help with a leak in our crawlspace and when the plumber was too big to fit into the crawlspace, they quickly sent a different plumber who was amazing and completed the job quickly and with a positive attitude for really horrible working space (our crawlspace is a dirt floor with barely enough room to move!) Great team response to our issue.so thankful.

An owner had a clogged drain in her bathtub. It was extremely difficult to remove, as it was likely not hair or other organic material that was clogging the drain, but some solid object that had gotten stuck. Callaway stuck with it, tried numerous things, and was able to unclog the drain. This could have turned into a much more expensive repair, had Callaway not been able to dislodge this object.

Chris replaced our old kitchen faucet with a new one we purchased. He was super quick and did an excellent job. It looks great and is working perfectly!

Chris arrived on time, diagnosed the problem promptly and replaced the faulty pressure regulator valve. He made a potentially stressful situation into an informative visit. Thanks.

Bob arrived early, in spite of a heavy snowfall, and spent almost 3 hours powering through the worst most stubborn mainline sewer pipe sludgey plug you have ever seen! I’m sure he’s going to have a sore back from the amount of physical labor he had to do to clear my pipe with the auger. (Sorry, Bob) … Smile on his face the whole time, and did not give up in the face of a yucky, stubborn, and perplexing job.

Brett is very thorough and knowledgeable and communicative. He unblocked a backed up tub that two other plumbers couldn't get cleared. He tackled the blockage from a different location and guaranteed it would work. And he was right!

Scott came, listened well, investigated, seems to have solved the problem - a smelly pump station that seems to have needed some additional screws and silicon seal. Quick and done at a tolerable cost.

Callaway Plumbing repaired a faucet in the apartment that I rent, on June 24,2021. This faucet had been running at an enormous volume for 8.5 months, causing a significant noise disturbance. After 8.5 months, numerous repair requests, and no action, the landlord only called Callaway after receiving an application for Dispute Resolution and my evidence submitted to the Residential Tenancy Branch, which showed the significant volume of water and noise. Although the Callaway employee did not enter my apartment until after the water had been shut off by the landlord (and therefore they could not possibly be in a position to comment on the noise), Callaway Plumbing chose to write on the invoice "minor repair would not cause [. ] loud noises". The landlord is now planning to rely on this information at the RTB hearing. Thanks a lot, Callaway Plumbing.

Problem: Bathroom sink was leaking - left email request for appointment on Tuesday evening.
James came out on Thursday at noon (2 1/2 hours earlier than expected), investigated the issue and determined that rust on the old sink around the drain caused the leakage. It was not an easy task finding another sink just like the one we had, as it was an older model, but James managed to find one very quickly. He efficiently & skillfully replaced the sink, the faucet (which I had previously bought) and the plumbing to the sink and now everything works fine again and looks great. All was done at a very reasonable price.

I'd found water in the cabinet under the kitchen sink but didn't see where it had come from. James figured it out immediately and solved the problem. He told me where to go for a replacement for the spray nozzle too. He is knowledgeable and helpful. I'll keep his name so I can ask for him next time something needs attention.

Wow, can't say enough about the honesty & clarity of advice from Callaway Plumbing. I was quoted $23,000 for work on my property by another plumbing company, who said the work was urgent and disaster "imminent". Callaway scoped my pipes with me present, showed me the issue, determined regular scrubbing of the roots would deal with the problem while I made a plan to replace the pipes in the next couple years. They reassured me disaster was not around the corner and, in fact, the roots in my system were nothing out of the ordinary for older pipes, and manageable. Thank you Callaway!

We had such a disappointing experience with this company's work at our house this past year, and wouldn't want anyone else to go through similar. While my own name will not appear in the customer list, I’ve had to bear the consequences directly, be sure of that. And if this company can’t bear the consequence of a legitimate negative review from someone who was both financially and practically impacted, then that says something doesn’t it?
