Not sure how this place has 4 stars and not 5.
I had rotator cuff surgery here and I’m overwhelmed at how caring, kind, helpful and compassionate every single person who i encountered.

I wish I could remember everyone’s names but just want to thank all of you for the exceptional care and support I received during my surgery and my overnight stay.

From the time I met the blond lady at the front counter who went above and beyond with checking me in and making me feel welcome to Doctor Penz, my anesthesiologist, my surgeon, Doctor Gilbart and to the most amazing nurses I’ve ever seen.

I recommend this centre to anyone who needs surgery because you won’t find better than this.

The CAMBIE SURGERY centre is by far one of the most beautiful, clean, and attentive places I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting.
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome, friendly faces, amazing bedside mannerisms, and everyone was on the same page! (all the t’s were crossed, and I’s dotted).
Everyone was well prepared and extremely compassionate.

I have had many surgeries in my life, and this experience by far exceeded any expectations of mine and was genuinely a memorable moment. That speaks volumes for someone like myself and I’m sure others who may have previously experienced subpar, much less than or worse elsewhere. The Anaesthesiologist Giselle, the nurses, the staff, my surgeon Dr Nancy Van Laeken - the whole medical team made sure I was comfortable, informed, felt safe and well taken care of.
I appreciate the moments of ease, and reassurance beforehand as well as entering the OR. I appreciate the moment that I woke up all the way through to my departure; that I was not alone. Not for a single moment. I know that that was very important and will have a lasting impact on me.

Thank you so much to the centre and all of your staff for not only making me feel like a priority, but showing me that I was one. Thank you for providing and maintaining a beautiful surgery center. Thank you for taking such impeccable care of me with the utmost of kindness and professionalism. You are wonderful and I hold a special place for all of you with deep and sincere gratitude. (Nadia)

Just had surgery at Cambie and spent the night here last week. From the moment I entered the Center to the moment I was wheeled out to my husband picking me up the staff was incredible. Every nurse there was above and beyond to make sure I was very comfortable and help me in getting well on my way to go home. It was great having a private room to rest, the food was definitely above hospital level quality brought to you in regular kitchen dishes and good taste. I wish I could remember all the names of the staff that was just extra. But thank you Cambie for making me so comfortable at a time where I wasn’t feeling my best.

I cannot believe BC would rather see people wait 6+ months for urgent treatment and have their symptoms get worse/tumors grow, than allow people to go to this clinic. I am being denied access because I am under MSP. All I can rate about the clinic is they responded to my email promptly.

Excellent service and quick turnaround. As a result of a MVA I required nose surgery and was treated with kids gloves during the entire procedure; excellent follow-up as well. I fully support Dr. Brian Day and the Cambie Surgery Centre.

They fixed my son up for me. Thank you Dr day and team for never giving up your fight! As a parent thank you thank thank you tremendously.

Cambie Sugery Centre is exceptional. I'd give them 6 out of 5 if possible. My surgeon, Dr. Emile Woo, was exceptional doing my cholecystectomy lap along with the anesthesiologist Dr. Thobani, along with all the supporting staff. When I woke up and throughout the day, there was no need for any pain killers.unbelievable. My pain level was 2 out of 10 with only minor discomfort. I believe this was due to the talent of all the staff and their team involved in my care. I would highly recommend!

I had such an amazing experience. I was nervous about having surgery, but the nurses and dr were all so caring and comforting. The staff are all wonderful. I had an pain-free comfortable overnight stay. Thank you!

Dr. Chin, was the attending physician. After a 20 minute exam with no MRI or Cat Scan, Dr. Chin recommended an osteotomy which is performed on the tibia or the femur either by taking a wedge of bone out or putting a wedge in the bone. Statistics show this procedure to have about an 80% success rate and a life span of 5 years before a full knee replacement is warranted. This suggestion by a Doctor dressed in a expensive business suit seemed barbaric. Luckily I got a second opinion. Dr. Stone at the Stone Clinic in San Fransisco. A partial knee replacement done 11 months ago was the correct path. I am paid free and doing all the things I could do ten years ago. So am I a fan of the Cambie Surgical clinic or Dr. Chin? NO. That place is a business, not a medical facility. Seek a facility which cares about the patient and less about the fees.

Had my first surgery ever here. Amazing experience. Everyone was super professional and accommodating. Made sure all my questions were answered and I was comfy from the moment I walked in till I left the next day. I had no issues and my pain has all but disappeared. I was very lucky to be able to get my back fixed here through WorkSafe. I almost didn't want to leave! While I obviously wouldn't want to have to visit again, I certainly wouldn't hesitate one bit.

Just got surgery done here. Normally I wouldn't leave a review but my experience was exceptional. The intake nurse was lovely and calmed my nerves. She gave me heated robes to put on which were as comfy as hospital clothes can be. My anesthesiologist was also very kind and obviously did a great job. I had no nausea or negative side effects afterwards. Everything was spotless and clean. I woke up in the recovery room to kind nurses making sure I was comfortable. They even called me the day after to check up on me. 10/10 experience I wish I could get every surgery done here
