Canadas Best Value Inn Valemount

Decent hotel. Room clean. Staff objectively friendly. Price/performance is right. Still reasonably well located for Jasper NP

We traveled through Valemount with our 2 Yorkie dogs, so we understandable needed a dog room. When we went in the back door, our room was right there. It was great for access outside with my dogs. The room was clean and had everything we needed, until more guests started using the back door. Whenever it would slam shut, my dogs went crazy.there were people in and out of the hotel for a good part of the night. This resulted in very little sleep for us, and probably anyone in a room close to us!

Husband booked a king with jacuzzi tub. Needed to relax. Filled the tub, went to turn on jets, nothing. Husband says, it's ok, we'll deal with it tomorrow. Go to check out and tell her, all she says is, it worked yesterday. What a liar! And if you have allergies, stay away! Air freaking fresheners everywhere! I guess to make it smell better than it is. I suffered!

We had Booked through Expedia a month in advance before our arrival, The day before our arrival I called the hotel to confirm our reservation with the front desk and was told that they did not have a reservation for us. The lady that answered the phone ask me to send a copy of the Itinerary to her so that she could follow up on it and she would call me back. She never did call back, I called and she said to come to the hotel we had lots of room. We arrived the next day and went to check in, they wanted to charge me more than what I was quoted the day before as they said they would honor the price from Expedia.
She also said it was my fault that they lost our reservation her attitude sucked. We ended up staying three nights there, the third night the fire alarm started to go off at 330 in the morning, all they did was silence it about 25 times LOL, the fire department came and said there was no fire. From what I could gather this is a common occurrence with this place I highly recommend that you look elsewhere for a room.

Everyone was friendly, the rooms where dirty dust all over and there was a used coffee pod left over in the coffee machine so we just skipped using the coffee machine, the room was crazy cold ever with the heat on, we where very excited for the pool and hot tub as we drove 9 hours yhst day and had another 9 hours the following day, with an 8 year old and 7 m/o, upon entering is smelled strongly of bleach/chlorine, we only used the hot tub as the water slide wasn't working and the pool was freezing, we only ended up staying in for about 20 minutes and the smell was strong and making us sick, we got put and showered off and went back to he hotel room, I noticed what looked like bleach stains all over the hallways carpets, when we got back to the room to change we where itchy and my partner noticed his once black boxers where now a shade of bleached brown! Super scary, had the kids shower off and we ourselves took a shower, I am very glad I brought my own stuff as the products provided looks old and used, there was white hand soap with a layer of yellow in the middle then more white, just really gross, I am super dissapointed in our stay as it was a fair chunk of money, not to mention the itchy dry skin we now have from the pool that seems like it was chlorinated with bleach.

Avoid this place if you can.
Cancellation policy is 4 days, but was notified 24 hours before that would not be offering daily housekeeping claiming an outbreak. I suspect they were understaffed and fully booked and could not keep up on a long weekend.

There was was1/4 of a roll of toilet paper In The room and of course without daily housekeeping was never replenished without walking to the front desk

Fixtures in room were broken upon arrival and was charged $200 after our stay. When I explained that the fixture was broken upon arrival the front desk attendant just jung up on me and ran the charge though on my card.

Disappointing to say the least. I’ve stayed in almost every hotel in this town and wouldn’t stay here again.

The rooms are not clean hair all over the shower. The TV only works 50% of the time in the room. The slide was not working in the pool room. The staff is not very friendly. The beds are horrible and it smells like stinky old cigarettes in the hallways.

Incredibly grateful they let us get a room with our cat when the highway was closed. Front desk guy was great to talk to

The room we had was in pretty bad shape. The couch was falling apart. For the money we paid I would expect a nicer room.

We stayed enroute from Vancouver Island to Edmonton. We were grateful to get a room without a reservation, as all the hotels were filled with pipeline crews. While our room was clean and modern, it was exceptionally tiny, and super expensive. Fine for a quick stay, but not a keeper! No breakfast.

Displays is not the greatest, The stuff at the Front desk don’t have any knowledge about how to treat customers, as well the extremely rude manager discriminate people with disabilities, do not stay here…

Very rude staff and them attitude doesn't value what you paid for.

I have booked 8 rooms for a night and the staff was not helpful during check in.

The room service person will chase you to kick out from 8am on.

They were mentioned about breakfast at booking but surprised to experienced none.

Had to choose it as a last min option, rooms were dark and dingy, were spacious but no breakfast and overall sketch location

Website prominently displays pool and water slide but neither are open. According to the front desk the pool and water slide have been closed for a year. I would skip this hotel and go to Comfort Inn if you want a pool, water slide, and even breakfast.

Best hotel in town. Everything was great. We will definitely come again. We LOVED this hotel and the views. Clean rooms and great, friendly service from the front desk staff.

Bathroom was filthy and there was urine all over the floor and it smelled awful. I had to clean it up myself so I could stand to sleep here. There were no other options in town because there are a lot of workers staying from the pipeline construction. Hotel is in terrible shape and I wish I read reviews before I booked it. Bed was terrible, springs, and pillows were like throw pillows from a couch, square hard weird pillows. Staff clearly doesn’t care because response to all complaints is the same, and there are a lot of complaints about cleanliness. My message to the staff is to do better, clean better a properly,

I don't understand what the negative reviews are all about.

The front desk called us and confirmed our booking when we were late, they said the arrangements for keys has been made and we can ring the bell if any assistance is needed.

The room was spacious with great views.

The fridge is a decent size one compared to the usually small ones.

There is microwave, safe locker, hairdryer and coffee machine.

It offers everything for the price you pay.
