Canadian Coastal Sailing

We highly recommend the Romantic Sunset Sail with Canadian Coastal. It was an exciting, hands-on sailing experience and an opportunity to enjoy the magnificent views of Howe Sound from the water. There were nine of us plus the humourous Chief Mate and two cool crew members. We enjoyed great conversations and lots of laughs. Although it cooled down as the sun set it was mostly sunny and pleasant the rest of the time. To add to the fun, a couple of guests had a quick dip in the ocean as we got close to Britannia Beach. This was truly a memorable afternoon. We'd rate it a 10/10. Thank you David and Canadian Coastal!

This was such a great experience! I booked this as a birthday surprise for my partner and we had a blast! David, Michelle and Michael were friendly, professional and witty. We loved getting involved in the actual sailing of the boat as much as the phenomenal views of Howe Sound. Thank you so much for a fantastic day out on the water!

This is an epic way to experience Squamish, by water. The staff are wonderful, informative, and are happy to have you participate. A must do in this area.

My family and I booked a sailing trip as a gift for my mom’s 70th birthday. We picked Canadian Coastal largely because of the excellent reviews and we were not disappointed. David, Sidney and Michelle made sure we had a truly unforgettable sailing trip. This crew is witty and fun yet so capable and the Squamish scenery is jaw dropping. It is a perfect adventure for people who have never sailed before or those who are already avid sailors. I highly recommend this company and hope to book with them again in the future!

They are just the best! Made it possible for my 72 year old Mom to go sailing for the first time in 40 years. Helped with giving her extra time to board the ship and were so kind. These are the go to people if you want to sail in Squamish!

Took my team for a staff event, and it was so wonderful! Staff was so lovely and we had nothing but laughs and beautiful surroundings for the entire trip. We felt safe the entirety of the time and would recommend this for anybody coming to visit Squamish. Perfect acitivty for all ages.

Awesome day out on the water! Allison and David were so friendly and fun, cracking jokes and making us feel welcome while also being very professional, reliable, and safe! They let us get involved in the sailing and taught us a few things which was super cool! It was a super beautiful day out on the water, so happy to get out with Canadian Coastal Sailing!

My partner and I were lucky enough to experience the sunset sail last night and it exceeded our highest expectations. Not only were the views incredible, but the passion and joy for sailing and creating a comfortable experience for everyone was evident in the crews leadership. Dave and Alison made sure everyone was warm, happy and included the entire time, providing blankets, tea, and grabbing items from personal bags when needed. To top it all off, they have their comedy down to a science. 10/10 would recommend.

Dave, Alison and Harli went above and beyond from the moment we stepped on board to the moment we returned.
Despite being to Squamish many times before, I have a whole new appreciation for the Howe Sound and surrounding areas after seeing it from the water, and learning so much from the crew.

Absolutely amazing experience! Coming from a life long sailor and past sailing instructor. Had a great time - David and Allison are spectacular. Wind was pretty light but they made sure all people aboard had a great experience, while getting everyone involved. The photos were a huge plus, and so beautiful. Blankets, tea and everything to make you comfortable

David, Harli and Alison did a fantastic job for our “3 hour tour”. The crew was very professional, and made the trip extremely enjoyable, allowing all willing participants to help crew the boat. This trip was especially fun, as we had an 80+ year old great-grandmother along who had never been on a sailboat before… she was very well taken care of and really enjoyed the experience. I highly recommend this “tour” for anyone interested in sailing.at any age. Thanks for all the fun!

Sailing with the crew was incredible! I took my family of 4 (wife and 2 teenaged daughters) on a 3-hour late day sail and we all loved it! As a landlocked Albertan, I've had the pleasure of sailing off the west coast only once before, and I wanted my family to know the experience. David and the crew did a wonderful job making us feel like part of the team and not just passengers. We were paired with a couple of other small groups on our voyage and the thing that jumped out to me was how well our crew was able to masterfully host and steer conversation while steering the boat so that everyone was engaged. It was a perfect way to spend a hot August evening! Highly recommend!

We went for sailing experience for my fiancé’s birthday, luckily the sun came out to entertained us! The crew were amazing! Friendly, warm and all smiles! We learnt a lot of sailing knowledge and places to visit around Squamish. I got the chance to actually sail which was a bonus! (It’s harder than it looks!) we loved sailing and we will definitely recommend to our friends and be back for another ourselves! Thank you so much for the experience and hospitality!

I booked a sailing tour for my parents coming from Italy with Canadian Coastal Sailing and it has been a great experience. My parents don't speak very good english but David has been super nice! He made sure that I could help them with some translations and when I came to pick them up they were laughing and joking with the crew! (I guess they found a way to speak to each other and have fun!) I am so thankful for this and my parents had such a great experience and so much fun. They told me about the landscapes they saw and how nice the crew was. I am so curious my self now. I will book another tour with them for sure! Looking forward to it.

The entire experience surpassed our every expectation! From pre-logistical planning and thoughtful communication (from Dave and Rebecca), to personalizing the experience and making sure everyone in our family (myself, wife & 13 year old son) got first hand experience with sailing at some point throughout the day. They were gracious hosts, very entertaining, full of interesting stories and a pleasure to spend the time with. I would highly recommend this sailing experience and do it again in a heartbeat. The experience forged a lasting memory for our family!

Canadian Coastal really has something for everyone. A top-tier sailing crew for anyone new to sailing and a range of opportunities to sail and rig the boat for the experienced sailors. An exhilarating departure for the thrill-seekers and a relaxed return for everyone else.

My girlfriend and I were so lucky to have found this place days before they took off and will surely be the highlight of our month-long trip in Squamish. I seriously could not recommend this experience more. Thank you David, Harli, and Allison for such a lasting memory.

What an amazing experience with Hari, Alison & David! This was our toddler's first ever experience on a boat so we were a bit anxious about how it would go. We felt so welcome and taken care of. The whole team was super accommodating and made it such an enjoyable time for us all. We were able to take in the views, have fun and even relax- not an easy feast with an active kid! Thank you so much, we can't wait to do this again!

What a pleasant experience with an amazing group of people & The view! The communication from the event organizer was very clear, kind and helpful from the moment we booked the experience. We could easily prepare for our first sailing experience thanks to the emails they sent to us. David and Harli are extremely nice and professional people and they make people feel very comfortable. I really enjoyed the experience and all the credits go to the amazing boat crews and nature of Squamish!
P. S: when the email says "it can get chilly in April, so wear sth warm", make sure you do wear sth warm! I guess I didn't take it seriously enough and it was a bit cold for me on the boat. But the lovely team prepared warm beverages for everyone and also got me a blanket. Thank you!?

Loved the experience. Dave and Harley we such a joy to sail with. Made everyone feel welcome, challenged us to participate in being "part of the crew" while sailing, teaching us about the land and sea around us, and basically sharing their love for sailing. Would absolutely recommend for a great afternoon with great people.

Hands down the best experience you can get for yourself. David and Harli were magnificent hosts. From the commutations leading up to the trip to keeping us safe and entertained the entire time we were out and about - it was a wonderful time. I've been on many organized tours and this was one of my favorites. The bonus pictures David sent us after the trip reaffirms that we'll be back. If you find yourself in Squamish this is a MUST do bucket list item.

We had an amazing time with David and Harli. Their welcome was very warm. They entertained us from start to finish while explaining everything about the sailboats. We had an unforeseen event before going but David accommodated us with kindness. If we could give more than 5 stars we would have!

Highly recommend a sailing tour with Canadian Coastal! We sailed with Dave and Harli and had a great time on the water. They made the experience a lot of fun and it was great to learn more about sailing. The experience also offers the best views of the Howe Sound.

Harli, and David: The crew of our boat at Canadian Coastal were absolutely perfect! Friendly. Fun. Extremely knowledgable, and safe. Their ability to operate a 40 foot sailboat, get everyone involved, show us the sights, and make sure the 8 of us were happy and safe was very impressive! 10000% recommended.

It was such a beautiful experience! If we could give a 15/5, we would haha! The tour offered more than expected! David and Claire are amazing people and knows how to entertain us from start to end. We truly recommend this activity, DON’T MISS IT!

Had a superb 3 hour sail with Dave and Harli! They offered a range of experiences from real hands-on sailing to just sitting back and enjoying the spectacular views. You could tell safety was a priority and yet they maintained a very relaxed and fun atmosphere. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our trip in Squamish. David was very knowledgeable and easy going. We went with a two-year old and he really enjoyed it! Dave also provides excellent photos free of charge at the end of the trip which was a really nice touch! I would recommend giving this a shot if you are visiting BC or just wanting to try something new in your city

One of the most memorable activities we've done as a family this year. It was outstanding and defied our expectations. Even though it was our first experience sailing, Harlli and David made us feel like professionals and were were able to participate in all parts of the sailing process. If you haven’t booked this yet - do it! My husband and I were taken on this wonderful sailing adventure by David and Harli - both so friendly and personable, they had us laughing the whole time! Quick to get us all involved in sailing the boat, teaching us a bit about sailing, telling stories, grabbing us some cold drinks, and David taking some memorable photos that he sent us later! We had an absolute blast seeing Howe Sound from the water and would highly recommend booking this as you will remember it for life!
